Chapter 2570: Poison Domain
“It is a great feast before we walk into that land of death,” said Rai as he took a seat at the dining table with lady Atkins.
“I have heard your skills in culinary arts before Lord Zaar, and it seemed like every word of it is true,” she said while looking at glittering dishes, and like Rai, her gaze had also fixed on the bottle for a moment before it moved to the rest of dishes.
“Let’s start then,” I said and poured three of us a glass of wine blood wine; all three of us were powerful enough to bear the effects that came after drinking it.
Clink!
“Let’s cheers to us surviving the land of poison that will enter in a few minutes,” I said, and we clinked the glasses before taking a sip of wine.
Sip!
I took a small sip, and it tasted wonderful, the right amount of sweet and sour with a hint of iron smell. While it might seem disgusting by listening, the taste of wine is actually wonderful, which left notes of taste behind even after gulping the wine.
Soon the wine reached the stomach, and it exploded into an energy-like boom, which spread into the whole body, making one feel hot all over.
The feeling lasted till one absorbed the wine, upping their strength by a little and receiving countless more benefits.
“The wine is even better than the ones I had drank, more smoother and richer,” Rai commented, and he is right. This bottle is aged compared to the one I had him and other High Grandmaster powerhouses.
“You should give me a few more bottles; the three you have given me finished up long ago,” he said while looking at the bottle greedily.
I really wanted to curse this bastard right now; while it is true he has gotten the three bottles from me, one more than I have given to other High Grandmasters, I am not his only source. If I am right, then he had gotten two more bottles from a different source.
If I did not see him gaining two bottles, I would have provided them myself; as the blood wine is strangely effective on him, a lot more than compared others.
The wine is one of the reasons why he was quickly able to break through his previous seal and loosened this one by a huge degree.
Soon, we began to eat, and I once again heard their praises. I always hear them, and I like them; I will never get bored, even if I have heard them thousands of times.
“The meal was really good, Micheal. Now, I am ready to face even death.” Rai said with slightly red cheeks. He had drunk half of the wine while the other half was drunk by lady Atkins and me; even then, we are feeling more effect of it than Rai.
His physique is completely different level; not only does he have the dragon bloodline, known for their strong fire and powerful bodies, but his whole body also merged with his mutation, which had given him an enviable physique.
“Let’s not waste any time then,” I said, and we walked out of the above.
All three of us are slightly drunk, but we are experienced enough that even in such a state, we can control our bodies and action without any problem. Not to mention, the effects would wave one to two hours.
As we walked out of the abode, I put it back in my storage, and we walked toward the poison domain, the most dangerous of all domains.
I have some immunity against the poisons; if it were Grimm poison, I would have had even great immunity due to the curse aspect of my constitution, both of which are the same special Grimm energies.
Still, I have some resistance due to my healing constitution and rule power, not to mention that I am quite good at neutralizing poisons.
Step Step Step
Soon, we reached the boundary and stopped for a moment before taking a step inside the poison domain.
“What a thick poison energy,” said Lady Atkins as we entered and reinforced her defenses; so did Rai and I. I also begin to circulate the anti-poison energy to deal with any hidden poisons.
The poison domain is different than all the other domains; the other domains are mostly barren, while the poison domain is filled with greenery and looks like paradise.
One could see the beautiful flowers, glittering wine, and ponds filled with clear crystalline water; everything was filled with life. The poison energy is extremly thick, but it is not overwhelming as other energies; it is soft as a whisper.
Though it would be a grave mistake to equal this softness to harmlessness. If they think that, then it wouldn’t take them long before they end up losing their life.
This domain had the highest concentration of water-elemental energy; around 20% of energy here is water elemental in nature; there are 5% other energies also present here, which is the reason for the exuberating greenery of this place.
Nearly all the plants here are poisonous in nature, and most of them are dangerous. A Grandmaster will die a horrible death; even a single plant poisons them. Even at the boundary, I could already see more than ten plants, which could spell trouble for us.
While these plants are dangerous, they are also extremly precious, and I have already released hundreds of strings and begun to harvest them.
“Don’t harvest any plants whose harvest method you don’t know,” I said to them as I began my harvest.
Both of them are quite knowledgeable, and there are a huge amount of plants here that even I wouldn’t be able to harvest all if I were to stay here for days.
So, I am only harvesting the resources that I need or the project need. Those are among the immense number that I am having problems deciding what to take and what to leave.
We slowly move forward as we harvest the resources. Though those looking around at us only find me walking slowly while Rai and Lady Atkins are flashing around at incredible speed as they harvest the resources.
Soon an hour passed, and there were thousands of boxes of resources that had already filled my core, and this was just the beginning.
We have barely crossed the 10% area of the domain; we could be considered at the safe zone where the energy is thinnest. As we walked deeper and deeper, the poison energy got stronger and stronger, producing more precious resources and the danger.
It might not seem like it, but we are getting attacked by the plants every few minutes, but we are dealing with them comfortably. I have kept twenty of my strings just to deal with any kind of danger that came toward us, and currently, they are doing excellent.
It would not be the case when we head deeper; there will be a greater danger, some of which we might not able to handle.
We had already decided that if we come across such danger, we would retreat, as no resource or treasure is more valuable than our lives.
