Puch! Slash!
I landed on the back and turned before leaping toward another leg and slashing at it while Rachel to second eyes of the Bearman.
It shouldn’t have attacked us; we have no interest in attacking any Grimms because things could turn ugly for us, but if someone attacked us, then we would not stop until we killed this bastard.
“You dirty humans!” Roared the Bearman and swift its huge greatsword across the sand; my eyes went wide seeing how quickly it was able to reach me and barely dodge with the jump. If I did not have the shoes, I wouldn’t have been able to dodge them and would have been into a meat patty.
The speed and the power of that sweep were huge; I don’t think I would have been able to survive it to even drink the healing potion.
As I landed down, I jumped back as fast as I could, creating as much distance from the blind bastard as we could. I have torn down both of its veins on its legs while Rachel had taken its eyes; there is no way the bastard would survive now unless it has a healing potion.
“You wretches, I will remember you,” It said and began to run away with a fountain of blood coming from its legs; it did not even take its backpack by the dune, nor could it find it with it being blind.
THUD!
We did not let it run away; both of us followed it with Rachel attacking it with her arrows, and in three minutes, it stumbled onto the ground. It tried to let up and nearly did it before collapsing to never get up again.

Two minutes later, the box appeared by its body, and like always, Rachel walked and opened the box. “A potion,” she said with a smile; I smiled too; you could not have too many options, especially in this place, without one’s natural healing power.
The healing potion is quite good, from what my clone observed; as long as life remains in me, a single gulp of it would turn me into good as new.
“It did not look like a healing potion,” I said; the healing potion is green, but this one is blue. “It is not; it is a stamina potion,” she replied, bringing an even bigger smile to my face.
The stamina potion would be as useful as the healing potion; it will be useful when we are fighting against more than one enemy or when we are running; it is very tiring to run in this desert.
We did not waste any time; I had already removed the arrows from the Bearman’s body and also taken its weapons. I also checked its bone and did not find anything valuable.
On the way toward its backpack, I tested the greatsword, which is about the same weight as the long sword with a slightly short blade. While I am an expert in great swords, I will keep using the long sword as it gives me the bigger blade.
Soon we reached the Grimm’s backpack; I began to wash with the water while Rachel began to sort through it; by the time I had finished, she had finished with the sorting.
“Found anything interesting?” I asked, to which she nodded. “This,” she said and lifted the cloths, she said, pointing toward the small bundle of cloths, seeing that I couldn’t help but sigh.
I know this would be the case; those clothes in the backpack mean they had killed the humans. I walked toward them and looked and found them about my size, seeing that I had kept them. I only have two sets of clothes, and while I wash them after a battle, I would still like to have a fresh set that isn’t touched by the Grimm’s blood.
“Was there anything other than clothes?” I asked, to which she shook her head. “Let’s go, then,” I said as I lifted the backpack on my shoulders.
We begin to make our way toward our destination, avoiding the main route and taking as many shortcuts as possible. I could see there were many questions in Rachel’s eyes, but she did not ask. I am grateful for that, as I would have to either stay silent or lie about it.
For the next four hours, our journey had been silent without any interference; we had come across a group of Gimmes, but they were far away from us and did not notice us; which is good because I don’t think we would have been able to defend against the four Grimms, two is our limits.
Still, our luck comes to an end as we come across another Grimm, and it comes running toward us with hunger and greed in its eyes.
About six minutes later, it was its turn to run away from us before it collapsed on the hot baking sand and died a minute later, giving us our second healing potion and long claws as weapons.
After I took another slower and wiped away all the blood, we continued again.
Soon it was five, and we were rapidly making our way toward the destination; we had come across nearly five Grimms in different instances, most of them we were able to avoid. One noticed us and even attacked us with stones, and when it saw us avoiding the stones, it moved away.
Which really surprised us as no Grimm who saw us had stopped till we had killed it; this one seemed to have a much greater sense of self preservations than all the other Grimms we have come across.
Another hour had passed when suddenly, we saw the Grimms, and they were coming toward us. “Run!” I shouted at Rachel, and we began to run.
We usually did not run when it came to the Grimm, especially two Grimms, as we could not outrun them in stamina and speed, but things are a little different now; according to my clones calculations, we need only to run for a few minutes, and we should be able to reach the safe zone.
Bang Bang Bang
“Dodge,” I said, and we both moved sideways while the stone crashed in front of us, but that was just the beginning as more and more stones came at us.
I am happy they are throwing the stones at us because it is slowing down their speed a lot; they could not maintain the high speed while throwing the stones, even when the load is lessening.
Still, the Grimms are gaining ground, and we are getting more and more tired, as we are not running lightly; there is a huge load on our back which is making things extremly difficult.
“Should we make a stand?” asked Rachel seeing how to clone the Grimms have come, to which I shook my head. “No, let’s keep running; we will reach the boundary of the safe zone soon enough,” I said and kept running, using every bit of strength I had.
Bang!
Another minute passed, and we continued running, but now our speed had become even slower, and Racheal had taken us the stamina potion, which she would drink within a few seconds.
I opened my mouth to ask her to wait when I suddenly stopped and collapsed on the ground, with a smile on my face, and a moment later, she did the same.
We have reached it, and the huge text floating in front of us is proof of that.
