“These bastards!” cursed the Supreme Commander, seeing another Grimm joining the blurry battle, not a normal Grimm, but a Grand Lord.
Till now, the Grimms have revealed four new Grand Lords, a shocking number, and the thing is, she still doesn’t know if these are the last or if they are hiding a few more. Till now, aside from her and her sister, they have shown only one Grand Lord, their newest one.
Lord Sylvian, leader of Hawthorn Sea.
He succeeded, and with it, once again, the hawthorn sea once again wrestled the place of number one supreme from the crystal domination, which had occupied the place for a few months, with her and her sister being the two Grand Lords of Crystal Domination.
Now, hawthorn sea also has two Grand Lords, and they are the real ones and most powerful. Forget Lord Sylvian; matron mavis alone would be able to be defeating two sisters with one hand behind her back.
“Should we send?” asked Lord Whitmore hesitantly, seeing our two Grand Lords fighting against four. “No,” she said, despite her sister being in one on the battlefield.
“Lady Hera and Lord Sylvian are enough to handle them,” she said.
With the fourth Grimm joining the battle, she could see that things were becoming dangerous for her sister and lord Sylvian, but she had confidence that those two could handle it; their relationship may be a little awkward, but their powers are complementary, and they have one of best teamwork out there.
She moved her eyes to the other battlefields; they were not only Grand Lords fighting; Patriarch Bradford and older lords were fighting the battles in the different corners, while others were guarding the different parts of human territories.
Ready to engage against the Grimms as they appeared.
She had fought not long ago, and while she tried to kill the bastard, it was powerful with a vast array of attacks and experience of centuries with that kind of power; while had only a few months with it, and that makes dealing with old bastards very hard.
She is not without her own advantages; her unique fighting style affords her great advantages as well, and she is learning fast as she fights these old bastards.
Still, the biggest advantage she had was her elemental core, which she had always viewed as a curse; from the moment it had awaked, it had given her only pain and difficulties.
All her life, she had to take every step carefully lest she harms the seals around her core; the worst parts were the breakthroughs where she needed the help of her teacher and old powerhouses to protect the seals so that she could make a breakthrough safely.
Now, after the reforging and the merge with her inheritance, it had become a blessing.
She had read about elemental core and was confident that aside from the Grandmaster, she knew most about them, even more than the twin students of Patriarch Bradford, but no knowledge had prepared her for what she was experiencing every day, every minute, every second.
The core was getting stronger by a second; she could see her core pulling invisible elemental energies like a furnace.
These energies are strengthening, and with it her; two months ago, she had difficulty lasting against hour against Crae, but now she has just fought against for more than three hours and is much less tired than she had been when she had fought it for the first time.
She was a little regretful internally when she had seen her colleagues going for the greatest opportunity the world had, but now all those emotions have vanished.
She watched the battles on the hundreds of screens, it was not just the Grand Lords that were fighting, but everyone, even Knights, was not an exception.
The battles are bringing unimaginable destruction to the world that even the world is not capable of healing in a short time, and it is going to get worse, seeing that her eyes couldn’t help but tear up.
‘The last time,’ she repeated those words inside her; this war against the Grimms was going to be the last she could feel, even Grimms could feel. There will be no stalemate or armistice but the total destruction of one race.
Either we will wipe the Grimms, or the Grimms will wipe us out; there will be no other outcome other than that.
She was looking at her battle when suddenly her expression changed and of those who were watching. “Old snake,” said Lord Whitmore with gritted teeth as two new Grimms Grand Lords have appeared.
Old snake, one of the most feared Grimms.
It is not powerful in the conventional sense, but only an idiot would measure the power of the special profession Grimm conventionally.
The old snake is the most powerful special profession Grimm, and its curses are so powerful that even someone as powerful as matron mavis is cautious of them. Now it has joined the battlefield, and it had not come alone, but another familiar Grand Lord.
Now, there are three Grimm Grand Lords against Patriarch Bradford, and if he does not receive the reinforcement in a few seconds, the consequence would be bad.
“It seemed like it was time for Lord Gatlin to join the war,” said Lord Whitmore as he looked supreme commander, but to his surprise, she shook her head.
“No, let him remain dead for a little longer,” she said, and Lord Whitmore looked to his left, but she shook her head at that option too, which made him frown because aside from two options, there is no one could help Patriarch Bradford, as all the other Grand Lord including supreme commander is busy and could not leave this place.
“It’s been a long since herald from Blazing Spear had joined the battlefield, don’t you think, my lords?” she asked the two council members, who looked at her confusion before their eyes widened in shock.
Every supreme had a title for their Grand Lords; the sky saber called their Grand Lord the Elder Lord, while the Bloodsun called their Grand Lord patriarch, and just like them, the blazing spear called their Grand Lord herald.
“Blazing Spear did not have a Grad lo,” said Lord Whitmore before suddenly his eyes went wide.
“Supreme Commander, you can’t be talking about him?” asked Lord Whitmore in shock, and she just nodded and pressed a button, and soon a huge screen appeared in front of her and is a young man with a devilishly handsome face.
“Lord Solace, it is time for you to join the battlefield as the herald,” she said, and the handsome young man laughed toothily.
“Finally,” he said, and immediately, the teleportation formation appeared under his feet, and he disappeared and, a few seconds later, appeared on the battlefield where three Grimms appeared barraging Patriarch Bradford with their attacks.
They immediately stopped as he appeared, and the screen once again became clear before becoming blurry again as the phantom of the dragon enveloped him.
The hell dragon flapped its wings and shot toward the three Grimms with a speed that even she could barely follow.
“Raibhan Solace, when did he achieve the power?” asked Lord Whitmore, “A while ago,” she said with a smile.
“You should have sent Lord Gatlin, Supreme Commander; he is not suitable to fight against the willy enemies like an old snake; only experience powerhouse could handle the old, old snake,” said Lord Hern, hearing that a smile on her face became even brighter.
“He will not disappoint us, Lord Hern; I might even say he is aptly capable of handling enemies, such as old snake, more than even lord,” she said, surprising both lords. Who quickly controlled their surprise and looked for an answer, but she remained quiet.
Before Grandmaster Zaar left, he had revealed some of the secrets to her; the biggest secret among them was about raibhan solace.
The biggest one is him not being completely human; the mutation had changed him so much that he could be said to be a part dragon.
The bloodlines made changes into one, but they never brought such great changes; one always remained human despite having a bloodline. Her sister’s student had the most powerful bloodline that had ever appeared in the world, but it still kept her human.
He is not, and that brought him some special abilities; she fought him not long ago when he had removed the last of his seals, and even she couldn’t defeat him despite using all her strength.
The special circumstances gave him some special powers, especially his soul and body, which now have become so powerful that not even her elemental frost could freeze him; anything that entered inside him got burned by the hellfire, which seemed no weaker than her lunar frost.
He joined the battle and began to fight against the two Grimm Grand Lords while Patriarch Bradford began to handle an old snake, which is a wise strategy.
“Things did not seem good for lord solace,” said Lord Whitmore a minute later. He is taking hits, and even with all his strength, the two Grimm Grand Lords are straining him.
“He will be fine,” she replied. The one thing he is good at is taking hits, his physical and soul capabilities are beyond what one could imagine, and the damage he could take is immense, especially with that horrifying healing speed of his.
As time passed, the worry transformed into shock, and even through a blurry screen, they could sense the frustration of two Grimm Grand Lords fighting against him.
Suddenly her focus went side screen showing that thing; it glowed again, and two Grimms and one human appeared, all of them Grandmasters, peak level from the input that Lady Angela had provided.
The human who came back was a Master when he went inside and now returned as peak Grandmaster. She was preparing to extract him when the thing had lit up again, and a single human appeared; a woman with a strength that was close to peak High-Grandmaster class.
She was a Grandmaster when she went inside, from the project, like 90% of Grandmasters. She does not look happy at all; it is clear looking at her scowling face.
“Extract them,” she said, and a second later, teleportation formation projected on them, and a few seconds later, they were back in the pyramid safely.
Though for not long, within a day, they will be sent to war.
It’s been two days since either Grimms or we made attacked the people who came out of the thing. We only do that when someone important appears, like a peak High-Grandmaster with potential.
Tring Tring
She was busy directing forces while watching the battles of Grand Lords, which were still being fought, when a call rang out; there were very few people who could call directly to the council, only those who were noted as very important.
She received the call, and the face of an old woman who looked to be in her late fifties appeared, “Supreme Commander,” the old woman greeted, “Grandmistress Charline, I hope you have good news,” she asked with a voice full of guilt.
She is not the only one; even two council members looked at the screen with deep guilt.
“She woke up,” said Grandmistress simply, with mixed happiness and sadness filling her eyes as she shifted the camera, and they saw the woman, and seeing her, their expressions couldn’t change for the worse.
Even the woman seemed shocked by her appearance as she blankly stared at her hands.
“We failed him,” whispered Lord Whitmore in a barely audible voice which drenched with the guild. He had asked them one thing, protect the people he loved, and they failed at that miserably.
She had failed, despite making all the preparation. The Grimm had succeeded in harming the one person he loved the most; while others are not aware of their real relationship, she is, and that is making her feel even more guilty.
She dreads the day he comes back and sees her in the state she is in.
