Buzz!
The runes lit bright and buzzed. A surprise appeared on Reta's face as she looked at me.
"You really broke it," she said. 'What do you mean I broke it?' I questioned incredulously. I had broken over ten formations for them and it seemed like it was still hard for them to trust my word.
"Here, take it. You deserve it," she said and threw a golden-brown ball with a rough surface.
I cached and smelled its wonderful fragrance. I had wanted it the moment she showed it to me, but I had controlled my greed. It is a good thing I did. It was a ploy to test my real abilities.
It looks like a ball of jaggery and it's kind of it, but it did not use sugarcane, but one hundred and twelve types of flower essences.
It is korons essence, and its recipe is one of the most common, but making it extremely hard. Not only flowers used in it are rare, but one also needs the expertise to craft it.
The big families like these iras race bastards belong to have the resources and expertise to make it.
It will be really helpful to me during my breakthrough.
Reta appeared in front of the door and pushed it open. It opened without resistance, and we all walked inside, one after another.
Gasp!
The moment I entered. I heard the gasps around me. It is gasp-worthy.
I found myself in a huge hall decorated in yellow and silver. With the grand mural on the walls and the roof, made by someone very talented, but these people had just glanced at them before, before turning to real things.
There are thirteen things places around the hall. Protected under the formation, all of them are artifacts, from sabers to rings.
They look powerful, and I wish I could get my hands on at least one of them, but with these people. It wouldn't be possible.
"Be careful and don't touch anything," said Reta as she gently walked toward the center of the room, where there was a golden key. It is not a solid key, but something made of runes.
"The seniors were right. The key had materialized this time," said Reta as she reached it.
She did not touch it and instead took out the artifacts and started to scan the invisible protection formation protecting the key. A minute later, she is done and took out the blue crystals that formed, before throwing them at me.
Hun!
I caught the crystal wordlessly and looked inside. A minute later, my eyes had shot up in alarm. The formation is much harder than the door. I don't think I would be able to solve it, in even three months.
"It is beyond me. I won't be able to solve it, even if you gave me the months." I said as I shook my head.
Instead of getting angry, a smile appeared on her face. "I think within this, you will be able to solve it more quickly than the last formation," she said and threw a plate at me.
I cached it with a frown; earlier, I had some help, and it took me nearly three days inside and this one is much harder.
"What do you think?" she asked a minute later. "I think I will be able to solve it, in a week or less," I said as I took out the isolation formation and sat inside it.
The crystal plate she gave me to solve the formation on the door had notes on the formation. The plate has the key to solving it and its variations; the formation changes every three months.
So, it shouldn't take me over two days to solve it.
With my two clones, I begin to solve the formation, and to my surprise; I could do that in little more than a day.
I shouldn't be surprised, instead feel ashamed. They have provided me with everything, and I still took over a day to solve the formation.
As always, I did not tell them. It had been only half a day outside. So, I begin working on my inheritance and other things, like designing the new seed.
I need a new seed, considering the one I add sneaked in Ura had been designed when I had come to this world. I need a better one, and I already have a couple of ideas with the data I had collected on Primary-III and Sovereigns.
It would be better if I could design it while in this ruin. Who knows when I need to use it.
Time passed, and soon, it was five and a half days when I had opened my eyes.
"Have you broken it?" asked Reta. I nodded and took out the airpen. A moment later, it begins to spew out the powerful runes at a quick rate.
A few minutes later, the formation appeared, and it flew toward the key, before completely enveloping the formation with it.
Buzz!
A couple second later, the formation broke away and immediately Reta took the key. The joy she had in her eyes when she got is immense. It is not just her, but others too had that joy.
"We got it. We got the key," said Sor emotions. "With this key. Getting that thing wouldn't be a problem," Harnal.
"You are wrong Harnal. Things will truly become difficult now," she said with a serious expression.
"We have gotten the key, but it is just a step. We need to get that thing or all the preparations for our family had made will be for naught," she added, turning everyone's expressions somber.
"You are right. We couldn't be complacent," said Sor.
Reta nodded and, to my surprise, threw another korons essence at me. "We will not take your aid for free," she said, before turning to walk toward the door.
She is treating me like a dog, giving me a reward whenever I performed as she asked. I am sure she would just as easily kill me if I had displeased her.
I have with them enough to understand their nature and due to it; I have become more worried they will kill me after they had done with me. Especially since I come to know what they are after.
After getting it; they would want to wipe away everything and everyone they don't trust.
There is a high chance they might kill me to keep it secret, despite all the uses I have.
"These artifacts are amazing. I wish we could take some of them," said Mas in regret.
"That thing is more important than any artifact. We have to get it soon. We are not the only ones going for it," said Reta.
Soon, we were all out of the room and walked toward the gate.
As Mas said, it is really regretful that we could not take anything. I would have liked to get my hands on one or two of these artifacts, but with these people present, I could not.
A few minutes passed, and we reached the gate. She once again used the token to activate the gate.
As it did, we begin to step through it.
