Nine hours passed since the battle begin and we have finally gotten our edge back. It took hours and thousands of lives to get it.
The losses would have been even bigger if the Grimms' strategy had worked.
The battle had reached a pivotal movement. In the next hour, the fate of the battle will be decided. It could go slow with more losses or fast with few losses. It will all depend on how we will fight in the next hour.
I am fighting with everything I have; I am not holding back even a speck of power. Digging into my deepest part for every morsel of strength.
The enemies are too strong; four of them had been so strong that I had to use the same strategy I had used to kill the Chimpman. I am still having a hard time believing, it worked on all four of them.
They were too strong that I had no choice but to take them into the water to kill them.
After killing them, I would get out of the water immediately. Those water elementals scare the hell out of me.
I am currently fighting a Bullman; it is not too strong, but not weak either, that I could kill it within a minute. It even has a bloodline, which I will harvest after I send it to my core.
Speaking of bloodline, one is getting harvested in my core.
It is nearly finished in a couple of seconds the Grimm will turn to dust and growth energy will come out of the seedling of the world tree.
I have harvested quite a lot of bloodlines and grown a huge number of resources. Including a spatial tree, which had reached High-Primary III.
The fruits have formed, but to mature them, I will need to take it to Sovereign Stage. It will not happen quickly; without growth energy, it will grow slowly in my core, till I become strong enough to kill a Sovereign.
The same case for most of the resources, but unlike it. I could use them; they are tremendously useful to me at their current level.
With each harvest of bloodline Grimm, I am collecting more resources. I have already collected quite a large amount and now have begun to plant new seeds to harvest other resources.
I have a large collection of seeds; more than half of them were brought from my native world, while the rest were brought here and gotten from the storages of the enemies I had killed.
Just half an hour ago, I found a collection of wine grape seeds from the Snow Werewolves storage.
I have been thinking about crafting a wine, in the future and those seeds will help me a lot.
"The Grimms around us are getting killed fast. If you continue with such attacks, then your name will also be added to it," I mocked the Bullman, who is attacking furiously with its giant great sword.
"Shut up, you wretched human!" cursed the Bullman and attacked even more furiously.
I am going to kill it within a minute; I am nearly ready and waiting for the chance, which I will get soon.
Seconds passed, and I matched blow to blow, always on defensives. It is the way. The Grimms were like their enemies and I provide what they want, till the last second when I pierced my sword into their heart and take them into my core.
To give them the punishment for their sins.
The harvest of one's very soul and body is the most painful thing one could experience, and every Grimm who enters my core had suffered it. There has never been an exception and I hope there never will be.
Puch!
Forty-two seconds passed when I finally got the chance and took it. A second later, my tiny sword was buried in the heart of the giant Grimm.
The Grimm entered inside my core a second later and I moved my eyes to search for the next prey.
Four seconds later, it found me. A Snakeman and seeing it, my expression couldn't help, but turn bad. It is at the level of Chimpman and others; it could be the one against whom the illusion didn't work, and I die.
Hun!
I came at me fast, when suddenly it stopped midway; at the same time, my expression had also changed, and the tile dome had appeared above me.
I don't know whether the people got smarter on the battlefield or whether people on the previous battlefield were too dumb.
As the surrounding people sensed the attack of the Sovereign coming from above. Many people took out the things like the tiled dome and cover themselves under their aegis.
The stray attacks from above are less common on this battlefield, but they come and till now, I had been lucky to not come against one.
While tile dome is good; I don't want to rely on it too much, as it could fail.
One's power is always a better choice, but I am far too weak to defend against these attacks on my own. They are powerful enough to turn me into the dust, but there will be a day when I will be able to do it.
BANNNNNNG BANNNNNG!
A fraction of a second after I put the dome over me; the attacks of the Grimms came down.
Two of them had landed on the tiled dome, turning it blazing hot.
It looked like it was on the verge of melting. It is not; it's a lot stronger than it looked. The attack needs to be much stronger than it, is to do actual harm.
Though the attack needs to be stronger to harm it; it did not need to be strong to kill me, who is hiding beneath it.
If the attack is strong enough, it will create a heat that will be hot enough to kill me, but even for that, the attack needs to be quite strong.
Currently, the heat is only uncomfortable for me.
I did not get out, as the hundreds of energy beams landed on the surrounding ground. It will take at least half a minute for the power of the attack to dissipate enough for me to walk out here.
While I could not go out, my soul sense could move without problem.
As my soul sense moved, I once again saw the destruction the attack brought, and my heart couldn't help but shudder.
I calmed my emotions and mapped the place; when the time comes, I will have only a few minutes to collect the bodies and I want to get as many of them as possible.
Thirty-two seconds passed and the tile dome disappeared.
I moved from my place at my highest speed, collecting the bodies of Grimms and natives. Not all were able to summon the protection, and even some protections had failed against the attack.
So, I moved fast and collected the bodies.
Sup Sup Sup
Soon, I come across the first native, who is alive, but in a terrible state. Four darts filled with different alchemical solutions moved and pierced her body in different places.
The darts are much faster and more efficient than unloading the bottle of potions into the mouth of the injured.
