Chapter 3210 Branded



"Exit nice and slow, just like you had entered," said the leader, and led us out of the airship.

We traveled only eight hours before landing here. I don't know where here is as I didn't try to find it. There was an Earth Sovereign on the airship, blocking every avenue through which I could know my location.

Soon, I got out of the airship and found myself dried group. As I tried to look around it, I saw my view being blocked by an energy screen.

I did not try to move my soul sense through it, for the same reason, I did not do that in the airship.

There is a freaking Earth Sovereign watching everything.

The line is moving into the small cave. I moved with everyone else and soon; I was in the cave, going deeper with every step.

I am getting a very bad feeling about the place we are going, but what I can I do? I am powerless to do anything if I tried even a single step out. They would suppress me.

So, I better remain quiet and walk inside; it will not matter if the place going is the mouth of the abomination itself. What matters is staying alive; only being alive will I get a chance to escape.

An hour passed, and we kept moving while our speed may seem slow. We are actually moving quite fast.

We have already come quite deep into the underground. I wonder how long we will need to keep walking to reach our destination.

Another hour and then another, before finally, I saw the light. The light was red, and it had an ominous quality in it and if that wasn't enough, I heard a scream, a painful scream.

Soon, we reached the simple wooden gate and walked inside, and what I saw on the other side had chilled my heart and filled my mind with horror.

"Your Majesty, this?" she said, looking at the tower, the relic of a past age. Something that shouldn't exist, much less do what these people trying to do, which is strictly forbidden across the universe.

"We wiped their whole race, but not all of them are dead. Some are still surviving in the refuge of abominations." the hazy figure.

"They all should be dead. They are a bad abomination," she said. "You are wrong, little girl. They are worse than abominations. It was our great fortune that they did not attack our universe with the same power and numbers that abomination had done."

"If they had, we would have been wiped out from the universe ages ago," replied the figure, making her shudder.

I found myself in a vast cavern, where at least a hundred thousand people are standing in neat lines.

What attracted me is the tower in the middle; it is in blood red color, with a huge red gem at the top. It is a circular tower, about twenty stories tall, which is not much, but when one looked at it, one would feel it impossibly vast.

Around it is a vast field of red runes; these runes are something I have never seen before.

I looked at them before turning to a stand where people were screaming are screaming as they are getting branded on their backs.

There are a hundred sovereigns on the elevated station, each one holding a branding iron.

They would use them to brand a hundred people at once.

Like all things happened since the cells opened; there is no other choice. We cannot resist, we are getting pushed ahead by the Earth's sovereign power, whether we want it or not.

An hour passed, and I have come closer to the branding station and could see very clearly every aspect of it.

What surprised me the most is the seal; there is a very seal they are branding. I looked at it, but never see seemed to see its whole shape and a moment later, I would forget what I saw.

Something like this never happened to me, at least not on this scale, where a moment later, I would forget everything I had seen.

While I could not see the seal and remember it, I could clearly remember the heavy magical energy on the seal. It is extremely powerful that even Sovereign wouldn't be able to deal with.

Step by step, I got closer, till it was my time to get branded.

The power moved me, while at the same time, the white shirt I was wearing turned to dust. It did not surprise me. I have seen it happen with thousands of people ahead of me.

The runes inside me lit up and forbidden power, begin to gather at my face.

I may not be able to stop what is going to happen to me, but I will make sure. Whatever happens, did not work as it had been intended; it is the least I could do with my measly powers.

"Don't resist,"

Said the being in my head; it had been a long while since they had talked to me. It surprised me so much that I wasn't able to react for a moment.

'Why?' I asked as the Elephant Beastman fixed me in tight bondage and moved the branding iron toward my back, while the power kept gathering in my back.

I did not get the answer; it made me so angry that I want to continue with what I was planning to do, but just when the iron was about to touch me. I have disbursed the power, let it brand me without any resistance.

Ahhhhhhhh

I screamed like every other person had, whether it was Primary or Sovereign.

The iron did not just brand the physical body, but also the soul and its power moved toward my core to brand it.

I watched it with horror, powerless to stop it. It made me realize how my previous attempt to resist were so futile. This thing is something else, it could not be resisted.

A second later, the Sovereign removed the branding iron and pushed me toward the line, where all the branded are standing.
