I defended against her lances one after another and used their power to move even faster.

I even waved at her while doing that, just to incense her.

She is a little hot head, seeing how she is chasing me, and she is getting angry with me for defending her attacks and even waving her while doing that.

While doing that, I made it clear to her that I had been playing with her.

"You bastard, I will kill you!" she screamed and summoned even more powerful attacks. The swords appeared around her, each filled with enough power to kill the common Primary-III in an instant.

I watched the swords coming toward me with a smile.

Her long-range attacks are not threatening to me; only those of her weapons, which I will have to be careful of.

I clashed against them, and like lances, used their power to increase my speed.

Soon, I finished dealing with swords, and I thought another attack would come, but did not. Instead, she increased her speed further to catch me.

Seeing that, I couldn't help but feel relieved. Those attacks were attracting unwanted attention. In less than a minute, I felt six people scanning me with their soul senses.

Some of them were really powerful. I am glad they did not come.

An hour passed and then another and she kept chasing me. It was not smooth chasing, there are a couple of people who tried to attack us; I pushed them away and made them unconscious.

While she simply killed them.

I have become sure that seals react to killing; not only that, but it also seemed to intensify the compulsion to kill.

After killing the first person, she had killed the second one, before they even got close to her. She did the same with the third person and tried it with the fourth.

Thankfully, the woman was able to defend herself against the attack and retreated quickly.

There is another thing I noticed about the killings. Once the person is dead, they would seep into the earth and disappear and wouldn't even leave the remnant soul aura that death leaves.

This place takes it all.

It had scared me a lot. Now, the desire to finish it all off has become even stronger in my heart.

The best way to do that, we will be reaching the source of the beam. Thankfully, I am getting close to it.

Another half an hour passed and when I saw a person coming toward me. He is a thin man with two bone horns and, like all the people of his race, had a bone saber in his hand.

His speed is not fast, nor does he need to be fast as he is coming toward me.

"Die!"

Shouted the woman behind me and attacked. Usually, I deal with people in front of me, saving them from the death of this woman, but this time, I did not make a move.

I did not need to; this man is strong enough to deal with her attacks.

She launched the powerful swords as they reached him. He took out his saber and crushed each and every sword with rather ease, before turning to me.

"He is my prey!" the woman shouted from behind. "Both of you are my prey," he replied and moved from his spot, and approached me rapidly.

One and a half seconds later, he was in front of me.

"Die!" he said and swung that saber at me. The attack is normal. One could not sense grand power from it, but it made my expressions serious and forced me to harness 70% of the burst.

I swung my sword in response; my attack had surprised him, which he hid quickly.

It is the same as his attack; there is no shower of power, but one closely, they will see our weapons are bursting with them.

CLANG!

Our weapons clashed, creating a deafening sound and powerful shockwave that froze the woman coming from behind.

She looked at us for a moment, before retreating at a distance, until she moved out of the range of soul sense. She did not leave; she was watching from a large distance, ready to take a chance, when it is present itself.

"I don't want to fight. Can you please let me go?" I asked him, to which he grinned.

"I wish I could, but the seal on my back is asking me to kill you and it won't let me be at peace before I do that," it said with a grin and attacked.

'Bastard!' I cursed.

The seal may be compelling him, but it is he who wants to kill me. I could recognize a killer when I see one.

CLANG!

We clashed once again, but we did not much shake.

"You are powerful. It will be fun killing you," he said and attacked again. This time, his attack was more powerful than before.

CLANG!

I poured more power and clashed and immediately increased my power to 80% and attacked.

I couldn't waste time fighting like I usually do. I am on a tight schedule. I have to reach the center before everyone falls into the compulsion of the seal. If it becomes strong enough, then people mindlessly kill each other.

Even I will die.
