Chapter 3253 Searching

Thirty-two minutes passed since they disappeared when Nero had sensed the Sovereign aura again and it was not from the red-haired woman.

It is a Black Scaled Lizardman who had returned.

It couldn't help but shock me. It is the one who escaped, not the red-haired, but it is the one who returned and seeing its relaxed pace. It is highly likely it had dealt with the red-haired woman.

If not, it wouldn't have been this relaxed.

It is still injured, if the injuries were any proof and now looking at me, seeing how its soul sense is moving like a tide.

It had gone over Nero and I felt its soul sense. It feels thick as water, very few things, will be able to escape from it.

I prepared myself for the soul sense upping the power formation to its full power while stopping the breathing and sealing my physical movement and soul rhythm. Going to a near-comatose state.

I do not like it, but I have to use every little chance I have to increase my chances of not getting discovered.

If there is anything that will help me in hiding from the Grimm, I will do it. No matter how ridiculous it looked.

Soon, the tide of soul sense touched the formation before covering me. I stayed frozen like a statue, with movements being sealed. I could not move, even when I wanted to.

It is a clever plan, using soul sense. The slightest reaction of soul energy and it will detect it. Thankfully, I have prepared for something like this.

Seconds passed, and the soul sense finally moved away from me.

A few minutes passed when suddenly it launched an attack. The closest attack is over two miles away from me and it instantly attracted the attention of the monster that even Grimm needed to hide.

It was frustrating, and I could understand that.

I would have been too, if three of my minions got killed and I couldn't find a killer who I could crush with a single attack.

The monster disappeared a few minutes later, but the Grimm remained hiding in its spot, spreading its senses much more stealthily for any movement.

Nero moved toward him and looked at him, without getting discovered.

He was less than a mile away from the Grimm, but it had not discovered him. Usually, a powerhouse of any type discovers the person. If they were looking at them directly.

It had not discovered Nero.

Half an hour passed, and it keep searching for me with its sneaky soul method, but did not find me.

Finally, after forty-two minutes, it got up from its spot and left.

I did not enjoy it too soon and asked Nero to follow it at a safe distance. Unlike before, it's moving at its full speed, which is an invitation to the monsters.

While it is moving, it is still using soul sense and now and then, it would change the direction. So, Nero kept following it, till it had truly given up finding me, which took a little more than an hour.

Seeing that, I broke the seals.

My movement returned, and the rhythm of my soul became normal. My power, too, had returned, making me feel drunk for several seconds before I got it under control.

I stayed in the formation for a few more minutes before I finally took back to my core and get out of my hiding place.

Nero is also returning, till then, I could slowly make my way.

My clones had deciphered the map, while there was nothing mentioning the exit. There are several points I need to check; they could be an exit or something else, since it did note them.

In both maps, those are not noted.

If it is an exit, I will not enter it without a full investigation. As they could lead directly to the Grimms' camp. It will be like walking myself to the cooking pan.

It is a long shot, but it is the only chance I have as it is still better than wildly moving in a single direction, which I had been doing before.

On the way, I will look for other exits.

The plan had many positives, but there are negatives too since it is Grimms' map. I will likely come across more Grimms, which is why I will not be strictly following the map.

I want to hunt the Grimms, but did not want to get hunted.

There will be a large number of sovereigns. I could hide a few, but eventually one might discover me, and it will be coming.

Following the map from a distance is the best option. This way, I will safely hunt, any Grimms, I would come across.

Half an hour passed, and I slowly made my way. Avoiding two monsters on my own, before Nero finally returned and begin to guide me like before.

While I moved, I looked at the sun; the heat had lessened, but not at the speed I had expected.

It should have been night by now, but the sun is still up. If I am not wrong, the day is going to be longer than the night. As for big, I don't know, or the day or night, both could be bigger.

It is rare, but it had happened; I had experienced it a few times.

Two hours passed, and I had crossed a large distance despite moving in the general direction of the red-haired woman. I had seen no sign of her; it was like she had disappeared or died.

I shook my head at those worries and focused on the road ahead.

I could not do anything about her; she is a Sovereign and anything related to her is above my grade. I need to focus on my own survival, seeing I could die at any moment.

Another half an hour passed, and I looked above. The day had started moving fast. If I am right, the sky will darken within an hour.

I immediately asked Nero to find me a good spot to spend the night, while I looked carefully at the changes of the night.

It surprised me that there are barely any changes in the energy. It seemed like the night wouldn't be any different from the day, except for the light.

It made me feel relieved. The ruin is already dangerous as it is. I could do without any more danger and a normal night is the first of my priorities.

Half an hour later, Nero found the spot, and it took me twenty minutes to reach it, by then, the sky had darkened considerably and there is still no change in the energy.

The spot Nero found is in the collapsed building, but not part of it. There is a naturally formed hole below it with two exits.

The space is a little small, but it looked quite safe; most importantly, there are natural crystals around it, which absorbed the soul's senses.

So, I would be able to hide inside it, without even formation, but I will use it.
