Nine days had passed since I had entered this virgin ruin; virgin for us, not for Grimms. They have come to this ruin before, eleven hundred years ago.
This is another thing; I found while the conversation with a talkative Grimm; I killed it after I got the information.
There was no promise of sparing it after the information.
Many things happened in the long eight days. A few things are, I have finished with my treatment and crossed 70% of the limit; I have killed a lot of Grimms in the past few days, all thanks to Nero.
Every day, I would kill around five to ten Grimms, with all of them being peak Primary-III. I am filling the limit quickly and also looking to gain a lot of resources.
Really a lot, that's what I am looking at.
There is a big fight between the monsters going on not far away from me, and I don't want to get sensed by them. It is not just me, one Grimm Sovereign is also hiding, not too far away.
A few minutes ago, before sensing the monsters; Nero had deposited the storages of the Grimms, he had killed and I have just finished sorting them out.
The formation is helping a lot.
I am at the repository, where thousands of racks are placed across the nine floors. These racks are placed in the gavais system; it lets me find all the resources I need.
Every day, more and more resources are coming here. So much that I don't know what to do with them.
Though, I know one thing, I will not need to look for the resources for a long time. It is not the only thing; I am free to do as much as experiments.
One of my clones is constantly practicing artificing, not taking even a single break. My second close is also practicing alchemy, which is work. There are resources, it is refining.
I have already refined all the resources I need for my breakthrough, but I am refining some extra.
It never hurts to have extra; there is always a need.
I stayed in the core for a few minutes, till things got interesting. Nero led the monsters to the Grimm Sovereign who were hiding and now, they are attacking the place where it is hiding.
I don't know what exactly happening inside as Nero is extremely careful, but seeing the way, the monsters are attacking. The Grimm will have to come out, eventually.
The monsters instinctively hate Grimms. If they sensed them, they would stop whatever they were doing and attack them.
A minute and a half passed and when the Grimms shot out of its hiding hole.
It moved into the sky, which usually Grimms and natives avoid due to being powerful monsters everywhere, but here they don't have any chance.
It moved very fast, crossing hundreds of meters in seconds. Seeing it moving at such speed, I thought it would get away when a yellow flash arrived from the sky, and a moment later; I saw two parts of it falling from the sky.
It is a fifth monster, which I didn't even sense.
It had appeared from the cloud and cut into two before returning to the clouds.
The Grimm did not die despite that and was moving his both parts closer when the four monsters attacked him again. It took a couple of seconds for them to finish it off before they started to fight among themselves.
The Grimm died rather early. Most struggle for quite a while and some even get away, but this one was weak.
An initial level Sovereign and the monster bird that split him into two was High Sovereign. As the four monsters, they were all Mid-Sovereigns.
So, he did not stand much of a chance.
Eleven minutes later, their fight ended with a surprising end. All four just stopped fighting and left in four directions, which rarely happened. In such fights, at least one monster died, three eat them, before leaving.
I hid for two and a half minutes before walking out and collecting what remained of the Grimm, along with artifacts, it had, including his storage.
Which my clone opened a couple of seconds later, sorted with the help of the formation, before sending it into the repository.
Hun!
I was moving when I suddenly stopped, with a smile on my face. "Hytor water," I whisper, and it is a large amount.
Nearly all the resources in the Sovereigns storage are special. Some are more special than others. Hytor water is one such thing and the best news about it, it is the resource I wanted.
Now and then, I would receive such surprises.
A few seconds later, I calmed down and consulted the map for my destination. Which is blue.
Most of the things are named, at least in the Grimms map, but some didn't. Red, green, and blue aren't.
They are also rarest in the map.
In the nine days, I was able to find out what red means. It is the abode of the palace, which is dangerous and had broken formations all over. These places also possess immense treasures.
I have visited two of them but never entered inside. Though, Nero entered one for two hours and brought out quite a few things.
Some of them are good.
Those who are still maintaining the formations are good, broken or otherwise, and I would have visited them. If I didn't want to get out of here, as soon as possible.
I had yet to find green or blue spots; they were much rarer than the red spots. I am hoping one of them is the gate; it is better than blindingly following any path.
I am quite close to it. If my clones are right, which they always are, I would be able to reach there by afternoon.
I am really excited about it; it would be amazing. If it is a gate, I had collected far more resources than I had wanted and crossed half of the limit.
Within half a year, I will be able to break through.
To be honest, after spending so many days in this ruin, I don't want to leave, especially seeing how fast I am progressing and how many resources I am gaining, but I am also aware of the dangers.
To be dead, one monster needs to come toward me very fast; enough that even Nero's warning would turn futile.
This would be all it would take for me to be dead.
'Father, a Grimm,' said Nero, and my vision changed, and I saw a Grimm. Moving with the Stealth method.
He is Peak-Primary III and has a bloodline.
This is all I need. I closed the vision and moved toward the Grimm, twenty minutes later, I reached him, but did not take the stealth field and instead moved with the stealth method.
After killing so many Grimms, my strength had grown a lot, and with the advantage of the stealth method, I begin to prefer assassination over direct combat.
It is quick and efficient and too much safer than direct combat, even without the stealth field.
