"It's done," I said and handed the disc to the corrupted man. "fifty-five minutes and seventeen seconds," he said and turned to the corrupted woman.

"What do you think?" it asked. "Gave it a chance. If it failed. We could always eat it," replied the corrupted woman.

The man nodded and got up before turning to me. "Follow me and don't try to do anything smart; I will kill you before you could even try,' it warned as begin to walk ahead.

I followed behind it, with a corrupted woman behind me, watching every move of mine.

I very much wanted to jump in the formation, but that will be idiotic. So, I pushed away those thoughts.

As there will be a time when I need to be an idiot. It is not just now.

As I followed it, I looked around and saw the place, which was completely destroyed, that I couldn't guess what it had been before. Though it must be something important, given the sheer number of broken formations present in this place.

"You don't have to be scared, little human. As long as you are able to do what we want, we release you," said the corrupted woman from behind.

I nodded, as we are both aware that they will kill me. The moment I am finished with what they want, they also know I will do it, anything to not get killed quickly.

It is the nature of the being.

Seven minutes later, we stooped. A few hundred meters away from me is a purple gate and, to my surprise, it is in very good condition. Though around it, is a mess of broken formations.

"That gate is your destination; you have to solve the formation there and came out; don't open the door, just come out," said the corrupted man and placed its scaly hand on my shoulder.

Immediately, its energies entered inside me; sealing all my energy pathways.

"There are few broken formations that are very sensitive to inheritance energy; a faintest and they will attack you," it said and shuddered.

"Ok," I said.

"Here are the things you will need for your job," it said, and three things appeared in front of me.

A pair of blue wooden keys, orange crystal, and a map made out of energy.

"You will first place the keys on the door and twist them together, before using the orange crystal which will reveal the formation," "You will have to solve that formation and call us," it explained.

"Ok," I said and was about to take a step toward the door, when three storage I was wearing flew toward it, while one storage ring moved toward me.

I looked at it and it grinned.

"You will get them back when you solve the formation," it said and all I could be nodded, whole moving the gate, following the map. It had shown me.

Buzz Buzz Buzz!

As I take a step toward it, a couple of formations lit up in my core and moved toward the energy blocking it. Whittling it away; it will take a while, but I am confident I will remove this energy.

In this half an hour, my life had taken a strange turn, but I will not take this lying down.

I couldn't personally take revenge on my last two captives, but I will take on these bastards. I will do it, even if I have to lose my life.

I moved through the broken formation. There are over fifty of them and half of them are giving me a very dangerous feeling. Though not a single one reacted as I walked around them.

Finally, I reached the purple door. It is big, about five meters, and simple without any designs, the other two faded golden circles around the two keyholes.

I looked at two wooden keys before putting them into the keyhole and twisting them together.

The door lit up, but nothing happened. So, I did what the corrupted man had asked me to do and placed the blue crystal on the door, and immediately, the runes begin to materialize over it.

I captured the runes as they covered the whole door, before sitting down and taking out formation-solving artifacts from the storage it had provided.

Inheritance energy couldn't be used here, but there are other energies. Like soul energy, which is what I am using to use the storage ring.

I started solving the formation, or rather acted solving the formation, while the real formation was being solved by my clones. They all stopped what they were doing and started to solve the formation.

It is a little strange, but I have solved many strange formations, and this will not be any different.

I left the formation to my clone while I worked on planning to escape, or rather kill the bastard. Unfortunately, I do not have the power to do it on my own or I wouldn't have been captured like this.

Though, one doesn't need raw strength to kill enemies in a place like this.

My soul sense, filled with the forbidden power, is already moving around the broken formation, checking them. These are the things; I am going to use these bastards.

I have to be careful; these formations are extremely dangerous. I could feel their power and know some of them could vaporize, even a peak Sovereign like them in an instant.

It took me a few minutes to form a plan to kill them; it is surprisingly simple, but also dangerous.

There is a high chance I might die in it, but it is the risk I have to take.

For my plan to work, I would need to do a couple of things. First and foremost, opened that door. If it leads to somewhere else, I would be much safer, but if it is not, I will have to use the plan in its originality.

I will also need to remove the seal. Without it, I won't be able to access my power, but it is the least of my worries.

In less than two hours, the blockage will be whittled down and I will have my power back.

I was imagining the various ways, I would kill these corrupted, when my clones hit me with shocking news.

No wonder I felt the strangeness of the formation. The people who created it were really smart; this trick will make most of the rune masters useless in front of this formation.

Those who made it have some knowledge of ancient runes, which are completely different from common runes.

They have used some of that knowledge in this formation.

A rune master without any knowledge of ancient runes will find their head spinning the studying the formation.

It is a really hard formation to solve, even for those hints of knowledge of ancient runes. Even I don't have a complete idea on how to solve it, I have six clones, time dilation, and a whole library to consult.

So, I am confident that the formation would be solved. I have to solve it at any cost.

My whole survival depends upon it.

Which is why I also joined my clones an hour later, while using some of my power to act. I can't let those corrupted suspect anything; it will foil the whole plan.
