The Grimm disappeared into my storage, and I turned to the battlefield, which had changed a lot while I was fighting the Stone Horn Bearman.
Many people died, not only the Grimms but also the natives. Though, the number of Grimms dying is far larger.
All these Grimms and natives who died are of average strength and skills. The real powerful people are still fighting, especially the ones with art. They are still fighting.
Jeh had finished up the Grimms, he was fighting more than a minute ago and now joined his sister; these siblings have really good teamwork.
Magnus is also fighting against the Lizardman, and he is not losing.
Empire of Mist is not offensive Grand Art, but it is one of the best to keep you alive. The Lizardman had been trying to kill him for a while and even have the edge, but despite that, wasn't able to do anything to him.
I quietly moved further away from the battlefield, not far enough, that I couldn't join when I needed to.
With the stealth method, I am freezing on my spot. I looked at all. Recorded everything I could; these powerful Grimms with the grand arts will be my enemies one day and I needed to be ready to face them.
I feel weak, seeing I didn't have the strength to fight them, but I didn't let it depress me. Instead, I used it to fuel my motivation.
A few minutes passed and some more people died, not one of grand art.
It is quite regretful that nobody had come; I was kind of hoping some would. Especially those of juicy bloodline, there are quite many of those on the battlefield that I could fight.
Many times, I wanted to go at them, but seeing how easily a couple of Grimms and one native got killed in the crossfire of battle, I controlled the urge.
Hun!
At the eleventh minute of fighting, something happened. The two groups of Earth Sovereigns separated; they had stopped fighting.
Seeing that other battles also started to pause, even Lizardman and Magnus stopped fighting and now looking at each other. Waiting for the command from the Earth Sovereign.
Anything could happen now; we could resume fighting or retreat.
If the former happened, the battle would be intense, and definitely, more people would die, including the hosts of the grand arts. They are not unkillable, just hard to kill.
"Retreat!"
Said the Bullman and Fox Beastman together. Hearing that, a pang of regret couldn't help but flash through my heart.
There is desire in my heart to fight, but it won't happen now.
Though, it is always better to fight the Grimms individually than in a battle like this, things are predictable.
"Next time, you won't leave alive, Magnus," said Lizardman, and Magnus grinned before disappearing into the mist. Things won't be simple next, till now Lizardman had suppressed him, but next time, that likely won't be the case.
"It is unfortunate. The battle had ended quickly. If we had an hour more, we would have had it," said Jeh in regret.
Leila shook her head.
"It was hiding its power; it would have been really difficult for us to kill it within an hour," she said.
I didn't comment; I had not fought against the Grimm, but I know one thing. I am not ready to fight it; I will need to get a lot stronger. If I want to fight someone of that power.
Everybody had dispersed, aside from Earth Sovereigns. I could see them, standing and looking at each other.I think you should take a look at
"Do you think they will fight?" I asked. "Unlikely, the spawns wouldn't have stopped, if they thought they had a chance against them," replied Magnus.
I thought the same. From my experience, I know very well that when Grimm thinks, they could kill the enemy, they will not stop.
"Still, we have to be careful. One of the Earth Sovereigns might come toward us," cautioned Leila.
Thankfully, we are taking every cautious there is to take. All of us have our stealth method active and Magnus covering us with the mist, which would make even Earth Sovereign detect us if they are far enough.
Four and a half hours passed, and we are closer to the exit. Yes, we are leaving.
There are five spots in this place; the healing one is neutral. Anybody could go there. The other four are divided among the Grimms and Natives.
We had already visited the two spots of native and Magnus wanted to hunt the Grimms were their spots, but now he didn't seem to have any interest in doing that.
It is wise. There are some Grimms, we are too dangerous for our current power.
"Does anybody be interested in a little trade before we leave?" I asked, surprising all three of them.
They stopped and turned to me, with siblings having mirth in their eyes.
"You do not have anything that we need, human," said Jeh. "It might be hard to believe, but he has something good," said Magnus, surprising them.
"I have something that you all be interested in. I hope you will also have something good in exchange," I said to them. "We have many things. Let's just, anything you have is worthy," said Jeh.
I said nothing, instead of seven bubbles came out and each holding a soil. For a moment, they were confused, before suddenly their eyes widened.
"Is that?" asked Leila, with eyes full of shock. "It is," Magnus affirmed.
"I have it in a limited quantity," I informed, and the siblings glared. "Greedy bastard," cursed Jeh, before things came out of the siblings.
Each and everything was shocking. So much so that I had a hard time controlling my emotions. They have brought thousands of such things, and I wanted all of them.
For more than an hour, I had haggled with three of them for every speck of the soil.
Many times, I wanted to bring out more soul, but I controlled those emotions. It is already a risk to show it to these people.
It is not a small amount I had brought out. If I brought out more, it might bring undesirable consequences, which I couldn't deal with.
"Bring all the soil you have. We have many things to trade," said Jeh and brought out things that made my tongue water, that I very much wanted to do that. Instead, I sighed.
"I have some, but I wouldn't trade it. It is for my personal use," I said, and could see a disappointed expression on three of their faces.
"Well, it is nice trading with you. The soil is not an easy resource to get, even where we are from," said Jeh.
The cloud tar soil is not something that is abundant. It had a hint of creation energies in it, which were only produced during the creation of the world.
It is one of the best resources. There is to strengthen one's core and I am lucky, I have it in a large quantity. Even now, I haven't even used a quarter of what I had excavated.
One only needs a bit.
What I sold to three of them would be enough for tens of people or they would be using it, during all three stages of Sovereign and even during the breakthrough into the prime.
