Chapter 3441 Cult Facility III



'Fuck!'

I cursed the moment my soul sense had seeped into the person who was in the line in front of me.

It is a Beastwoman, and she had been here for decades. At least four to five decades from what I could see.

I had already expected it, but it was still somehow able to shock me.

My soul sense moved to others in the line, and I found each one of them at least here at least for a decade.

Still, they are nothing in front of the third line by the wall, where each one of them is here for five decades or more. Some even seemed like they had been here for a century.

I felt even more scared seeing that.

'I have to escape!' is the thought that begins to run in my mind repeatedly with each person I checked.

I didn't let it overwhelm me or do anything rash.

If I want to escape, then I have to be calm and understood, it won't be easy or quick. It will be a hard long road, full of uncertainties.

I checked through each one of them, avoiding only those who were close to the three people.

I didn't let my forbidden power scan them. Even though I could guess their levels. Of the three, two are Peak Sovereigns, while the other third one is Earth Sovereigns.

Their aura is average and if I were to guess; they were caretakers/researchers.

This place is just like the one I have found after coming out of the realm before this one, in that snowy wasteland.

There, too, they were harvesting the essence like this one, but that was much less sophisticated than this one.

There, they only planned to squeeze and throw people. Here, they are harvesting and also changing the bodies for different purposes, after they finish with this one.

Earlier, I had only guessed, but now, I have become sure of it.

I pulled back my forbidden power, keeping it to the slime covering me.

I have scanned nearly all of them, and got what I needed; I have to plan.

Escaping is a goal, but there is one thing I have to do on priority.

I have to change my true essence, remove the forbidden power from it, and change it, so it would look like it is from Peak Sovereign and not from Peak Primary-III.

Removing forbidden power is easy; I may not be able to remove the most, but I will be able to remove it enough that nobody would be able to sense it unless they have knowledge of it and actively looking for it.

Making it look from Sovereign, that even Sky Sovereign won't be able to tell the difference will be slightly difficult.

Though, I will be able to achieve that with my expertise.

The real challenge would be to get inside these crystalline tentacles and that core to achieve that.

I have a couple of ideas and a little more than a week to do that.

It is a lot less time than I liked, but I have to make do. If they got to know about any of those things, I would be in serious trouble.

I am already in trouble, and I don't want to be in more trouble than I already am.

So, I started the work immediately and thankfully I have six powerful clones to help me with it.

Hours passed, and I studied the meta-scan with my clone. Scanning some areas over and over, when we feel the need for extra data or test some things.

The more I look, the more I feel how difficult is going to be.

This slime is Earth Sovereign bred specifically for this purpose and has very powerful defenses. It is very hard to mess with it, but I will have to do it if I don't want to make things even further.

I was doing that when three people appeared in front of me and I covered them with the lightest forbidden power.

I wanted to wait for a few more days before I did something like that, but I couldn't control myself.

I want to know more about my condition, and they might provide some information.

"This one is very important; Its purity is off the charts. The higher-ups have asked me to take special care of this one," said the Earth Sovereign, looking at data flashing in front of my slime.

"It is such a regret; they will take all the true essence. It would be wonderful if we are able to get a drop of its true essence,"

"It will help me tremendously with my research," said the woman in a hopeful tone.

"Do you want it for research or practice?" asked the man beside her, and she glared sharply.

"Don't even think about it, both of you. The higher-ups warned me that if we take even a single speck, they won't forgive," warned the Earth Sovereign, making the two shudders visibly.

They stayed in front of me for over ten minutes before leaving and forbidden power was still covering them.

They didn't discover me, and I found somewhat they are talking about is useful.

I am also trying for that crystal pad in his hand, where he is recording all the data. It would be tremendously helpful if I could get data inside.

It is an aura-controlled pad.

I will only need to replicate it and I should be able to get the data contained inside the tab.

I have already started practicing with the aura. In a few hours, I will be able to copy so perfectly, that even he won't distinguish it from him different.

Though, it won't make the job easy.

From what I observe, he never let go of that pad and when he does, he likely keeps it in his storage.

Difficult or not, I will have to do it. Who knows what else aside from data, that pad may be hiding.
