3524 Shits and Metals

"Let's begin," I said and started to move.

The empty space was big, but I had crossed it in the twenty-seven seconds and reached the mountainous wall.

"Hope it works," I said and my strings, which were already out, began to weave and extremely tiny formations began to appear on them.

I had gone to my core so I could create a mining formation.

Which would let me move as fast as I could and wouldn't leave behind many traces for monsters and Grimms to follow even if they discovered me.

I had created something, which Nero used to do in the early days before he learned to simply swim through the ground like some monsters here do.

Though he was much better than the monsters here.

Soon, my string formed a sphere around me and moved toward the wall by spinning gently.

As it touched the wall, the earth simply slid away with the rotation of the spear and appeared in the back. In a few seconds, the spear is completely inside, with the walls of the mountain covering the sphere from all sides.

I am not drilling; it might be a little faster and more energy-consuming than this method, but noisy and leaves the tracks behind.

This is far safer; here, I am just sliding the earth and placing it back into its place, after I moved from my position. This is a smooth way to move without creating any disturbance.

Though it had many restrictions. It couldn't move through the magically dense places, like the places where the amount of magical metal is dense.

It is not a problem, while there are many places like this on this mountain. The mountain is huge enough that I could move around them.

This is slow-moving, but is not that slow and if everything went well, I should be able to get out of this mountain within a day. Less than a day, if everything went really well.

I had just thought that when I suddenly stopped and a few seconds later; I saw the monster directly in front of me.

It is not in front of me per se, it is a meter and a half away from me, and between us is a thick, rocky mountain wall. It is swimming and I don't think it had sensed me, since it didn't even glance at me.

In three minutes, it had gone away, and I could move. As of now, it has started munching on a small deposit of cornea metal.

I didn't focus on it and nor would have mattered much, even if it had dense me. I would have been able to deal with it rather easily, but I like to avoid that, seeing there is Sky Sovereign.

I didn't want to do anything, that would make them know of my presence.

I traveled through the spear for twenty-two minutes before coming across another empty space. As the sphere was out in the open, it moved fast toward the other end.

It was moving when I suddenly stopped when I noticed something. Vegetation is not what attracted my attention despite the plants being quite rare and resources on it are useful to me.

What attracted me was the glittering pile on which they were growing.

It is mostly stony and metallic, with a tiny amount of plant matter.

It is monster shit. I didn't have to use my soul sense and strings to know it. Visible signs are more than enough.

However, I did use them and what I found had made my eyes glitter. n)/O/-V)(e/-l-.b-.1//n

I waved my hand, and a large pile of shit had disappeared. Though, not all, only around 80% of it; I have kept 20% with most of the plants and resources on it intact.

If it had been outside, I wouldn't have thought twice about taking it all, but I am not.

The monsters have dumped their shit here intentionally, and I could sense the presence of many lower-level monsters here.

While they might eat metals, these plants are also necessary for their growth, and I won't starve them to death for my greed.

With that done, I started to move again and soon, reached the middle of space, before the spear floated up, till it touched the ceiling before sliding inside it.

Two hours passed, and I have found a shit deposit two more times and I collected it.

It is not just the shit; I have also collected the metals. There are a lot of them, but I have only targeted the densest sources and those within my route.

On it, I will find more than enough to satisfy my needs and to sell.

To be honest, if I didn't see these many sources on my route, I might have stayed here a day or more to collect the metals. They are precious, but I do not need to, there are more than enough on the way.

I was thinking that when the sphere stopped. We didn't enter the empty space, but stopped by the deposit of yellowish-black metallic ore.

A few strings moved toward it and began to cut into the deposit and send it to my core.

It is quite slow, could have been faster. If I had more strings, but unfortunately, I didn't; I am using 96% of them for the sphere, the rest for the other things.

If I had more strings, I would have been able to make the spear even better. It would have been able to move at a much faster speed than it is right now.

It is one of the reasons why, I want to want to level up quickly.

A level-up would not only give me a tremendous boost, but will also provide me with more strings.

Those strings will be tremendously useful in things like this aside from binding the enemies in binds from which they couldn't break out.

Soon, I finished with the ore and the spear begin to move again, avoiding the monster and collecting the shits and metals.
