Chapter 3562 Patterns
Hun!
I walked through the light end of the hallway and entered a place filled with mist.
As I entered. I was immediately surprised to see that I was not alone. There are eleven people besides me and they came out at the same time as me.
There are ten Grimm and only two of us natives.
The other one is a human like me. A real, tall, dark, and handsome. I had seen him in camp and noted him to be one of the powerful Sovereigns.
The Grimms looked at me, but not a single one of them had moved to kill me.
There are no rules telling us what to do, but it is a no-brainer. This place screams danger and, after experiencing past challenges, nobody is in
We are also standing on the huge tile squares of different colors and there is a mist in front of me.
Nobody moved, as there were no directions or instructions. Just bronze mist in front of us.
Seconds passed and exactly a minute after we entered. The mist begins to clear up and reveals a huge space, more than a mile long.
In front of us are thousands of colorful squares. Shining in changing colors and ringing in different tunes; above them is also a projection of text and runes that will change.
One the distance away on the other side; there are twelve stands on which twelve things are in place.
I looked at it for a moment, before turning to scroll, which shows the rules, which are as simple as the last challenge.

The challenge is crossing the tile squares and reaching the other side.
These squares are dangerous. Stepping on the wrong one could injure us gravely or even kill us in an instant.
Thankfully, we aren't blind. There are four types of patterns here, color, sound, text, and runes. Figuring out each will reveal the path and we have an hour before we have to move.
There is no option other than moving ahead. The ways behind us disappeared. We have to figure out any one of the patterns and reach the other side quickly.
Hun!
The clock had already started, and I had turned to the thousands of blocks. I didn't focus on color, music, or text; I simply focused on runes.
It is my forte and it would be idiotic to focus on something else and waiting time.
I wish I could use my clones, but they have been sealed, along with my power. Despite that, I could see every block, and hear the music clearly, if I focused enough.

I was amidst the studying when I frowned and turned to Grimm. It was trying to speak, but it seemed like the sound had been muted and soul sense was sealed along with the rest of the power.
They didn't make it easy, but not extremely hard, too.
In the ten minutes, I began to see the pattern and after another ten; I had a path in front of me. There is no one path of runes, but three of them.
I could walk any.
I looked at each of them and formed a map in my head, before focusing on the color. The text is too common. Most would be focusing on it; color would be a better choice.
Minutes passed, and it was hard.
However, I am not without progress, and by the time, the other half rolled. I have one complete way of the color and close to figuring out the second, but need around ten minutes more and I have less than a minute.
The moment the hour is finished; the clock has changed color. From bronze, it turned red and the time on it had started again.
We have an hour to complete this challenge.
I felt the tile, I was standing rapidly heating up, and I had no intention to stay for long.
I did stay for a couple of seconds while others jumped and saw a surprise appear on their face.
"Ahhhhh..."
I was looking at them when I heard the Grimm scream; the fire is covering it. It didn't go away completely when it jumped on the other block, which seemed to be safe.
The fire disappeared three seconds later, leaving it injured.
Hun!
I stayed for ten seconds, before stepping on tiles in front of me and immediately a surprise appeared on my face, like it did on so many others, when they stepped into a box.
There are things from the boxes, plans, crystals, artifacts, and others.
'It is not making it easy,' I thought and looked at four paths and prices on them, before choosing the one with maximum flexibility.
Survival is important, not prizes. I will get at least one if I am able to cross it successfully.
I begin to move, stepping on the tile after another, following the path. Though I am also keeping an eye and natives.
People who reach the Earth Sovereign stage are not dumb, but the patterns are not everyone's cup of tea and the four Grimms are suffering.
From burning in fire, to being struck by lightning. One had even been pierced into the shoulder by a huge energy spear.
'Some are going to die here,' I thought.
The challenges here are not merciful, and there is not even an exit. So, once enter the temple, they will have passed the challenges; it is the only way they will be able to get out.
I moved fast, and soon I got my first prize, a glittering red rose. It looked like every petal of it had been carved out of the most precious ruby.
I took it and put it in my pocket.
While it should be stored in a water elemental wooden box. It will be fine in my pocket for a few minutes.
Hun!
A few more seconds passed when a white sword descended from above and cleaved the Werewolf in two.
It died in an instant, while two parts of its body had remained there.
I didn't stop seeing that, instead increased my speed and continued moving. It had been just a minute and a half, but I had already crossed the third of the distance.
Another half a minute passed, and another Grimms died, and its death was not as quick or as painless.
A sphere of acid covered it, and it screamed. It was able to move out of it, but acid lingered and ate it, leaving only bones and even more than half of those had been eaten away.
Hun!
I had crossed half of the distance and when I saw the Grimm coming at me.
I don't know which pattern it is following or several, but it is coming at me and coming at me fast. Seeing that, I moved faster, but Grimms also matched its speed with mine.
I changed my path; I had no interest in engaging the bastard here in this dangerous place, but to my surprise; the Red Horned Ratman followed me there.
'An intelligent one,' I thought and moved with the four paths, it surprised it, but it followed.
A few seconds later, it reached the tile neighboring mine.
"I got you!" it shouted as it jumped on the tile, that I had stepped and attacked me.
