Chapter 3854 Trade II

It took them a while to move their eyes away from the elements and turn to the essence roses.

"How much you have?" he asked, and he was not talking about essence roses. "You do not need to be worried about how much I have. You only need to be worried about the things you are trading for them," I replied.

He smiled at that and looked at his girlfriend, who nodded.

A moment later, he brought out a round glass box. The box is divided into two parts. One part has translucent silvery water, while the other part has golden water that, looks like it is flowing despite being stable.

"Are they what I am thinking they are?" I asked with my voice breathless. "Yes. Antediluvian water of space and time," she replied.

I thought, they might not have something, but I was wrong. They have and the value of it is similar to what the twelve elements I have. Together, their value would have been greater, if I didn't have all twelve elements.

Seeing them, my heart started to beat wildly. Those things will help me tremendously, not only in practice but also in artifice, alchemy, and other things.

"I think 1 unit of antediluvian water of space and time for 2.5 units of twelve elements would be the correct trade," said Ven, while I was still looking at the water.

"Do I look like a bumpkin on the street to you?" I asked back and countered it with my offer, which was the opposite of what I had offered, which he rejected immediately.

I offered again, and they rejected, and they offered, and I rejected.

Minutes passed, and we continued. It might seem like, we are not making any progress at all, but we are a lot. Both of us have very rare things and are aware of their values and want a little extra for our things.

"Fine, I will suffer a loss and accept," said Ven finally, while I rolled my eyes. He isn't suffering a loss; we have made a fair deal.

"How many units, you are willing to sell?" I asked, and he smiled. "It seemed like, you have been lucky," he said, and I didn't reply, other than smile, but he was right; I had been lucky.

The thing, I had found accidentally turned out to be extremely valuable. Far more than, I had thought when I saw it for the first time.

"We are willing to sell thirty-seven units," replied Sarena. I couldn't help but be surprised. Thought it would be ten or twelve units and that would have been enough for my needs.

"It seemed like, I wasn't the only lucky one," I said and waved my hand. Their eyes lit up and a moment later more antediluvian water of space and time came.

"Lunch sounds fine," said Sarena, and a moment later, we walked out of the room.

When we entered the living room. We saw the girl engrossed in reading, with a couple of books floating in front of her.

It took her a while to notice.

"You have an amazing collection, Carlos," said the young girl. "Thank you," I said as I started to prepare the lunch.

It took me an hour to prepare the lunch and another hour to eat before we went back to negotiating.

It was at night before we finished. We had not only traded materialistic things but also knowledge. Though this time, the knowledge isn't as valuable as the last time; I still got some good things.

"Thank you, Carlos. The things we have got from you will help us tremendously," said Sarena as I walked them toward the door after the dinner.

"You don't have to thank. You have paid equal in value," I replied, to which she smiled.

Soon we reached the door, when I decided to ask the question, that had been on my mind for a while.

"If you don't mind, me asking, when are you planning to make a breakthrough?" I asked.

He hesitated for a moment before opening his mouth. "I was planning on doing that after the voyage ends, but now I have changed my mind," he replied. Meaning he will do in it in the next couple of days.

"I have a good breakthrough formation. Good enough, that person next to you won't be able to tell if you are making a breakthrough," I said.

It surprises them a little.

"Thank you for the offer, but I have a breakthrough formation," he replied, and to that I smiled.

The rejection disappointed me, but I don't mind. The breakthroughs are sacred; one doesn't do them in front of the people, that they don't trust.

If I had been in his place, I wouldn't have accepted the offer. I love my secrets, and I don't want anyone to know them. His secrets are just as dangerous and if they came out, it would kill not only him but also his sister and fiancé.
