After reading about the quest of the princess, I couldn't help but wonder.
'Is there a way to save this princess?'
After reading through some more chats of random players, I found out that many priests from the church of goddess Aphrodite have tried to cure the daughter of the duke, but to no avail.
They could only suppress the poison at best but it was said that the princess's condition turned dire with every passing day. Many of the famous Alchemists who were part of the top player leaderboards tried to make different kinds of antidotes, but none of them could make one that could cure the princess.
No one can actually blame them though. After all, it was still too early in the game and according to the developers, the players haven't even discovered 1% of what the game has to offer.
'Come to think of it…. Don't I also have an Alchemist Job..?'
I suddenly remembered something. Not only did I get a new class, but also a special grade Job, which was nonexistent currently in the game.
Thinking about this, I recalled my status screen.

"Man.."

I couldn't help but say in appreciation. I was level 34 in one day of game time, it was basically unheard of. My stats were all similar to a player in level 50s…. Not to mention I haven't invested even a single stat point anywhere yet.
But right now, what I was worried about wasn't my stat, rather, it was that shady sounding Job.
Night Alchemist…
It was a special grade job that I had received as a bonus with the legendary class. But although I had the job, I had no idea as to what this job did.
I knew about the normal Alchemists. An alchemist was a pretty complicated job which can even be treated as a separate class. It was very versatile and can do the job of multiple classes.
Healers can heal people, and so can Alchemists, they can make potions that can heal both health and mana.
Combat classes can deal damage, and so can an alchemist by utilising the elements of nature.
Production classes can produce various kinds of items, and so can an alchemist.
But it was only true for Alchemist that it would reach a high level. Currently, there were no alchemists in the rankings that were versatile in the top Alchemists ranking. Not only that, an Alchemist's level was very hard to be raised and it was as useless as a human's tailbone in the early phases of the game.
So even though the developers had already talked about the things an Alchemist can eventually become in the far future, most of the players decided to pick other classes instead of an Alchemist.
For me though, it was different. Mine alchemist wasn't a class, rather it was a job, and even its name was a bit different from your usual alchemists.
Thinking about this, I decided to check out my job information.

Slack Jawed!
If I was a little surprised when reading about the basic Alchemist's skills, then I was completely flabbergasted when I read about the Night Alchemist's skills!
What the fuck was this?!
It was even better than getting an epic class.
Was this really just a job? What were jobs in the game anyway? An occupation?
For the first time since I started playing the game, I was questioning my understanding of the game. Was this really a job? Or was the understanding of players regarding a job incomplete? I didn't know and I had no one to answer my questions either. So I decided to put these things at the back of my head for now.
What currently mattered was that I could probably create some antidotes myself too. But for that, I needed to find the right recipe and materials first.
The whole night I researched recipes for antidotes and surprisingly, there was a lot of information about them, as they were quite famous, even for non-alchemist class. There were many kinds of differences that dealt with potions and could create a potion, so the recipes for all types of potions were quite sought after.
Some of these classes were cooks, doctors and even herbalists! After looking around for the most potent antidotes, I found out that there were quite a lot of people selling antidotes in the auction and online marketplace, but none of them could cure a curse above the common grade.
From what I've heard about the little princess, she would need an epic grade antidote at least, to cure the poison, although even I wasn't sure.
There weren't many people who were selling the recipes, as it was common to sell them to people who needed them for a high price. There were some normal graded ones, but I didn't need those and even they were priced at 500 golds at least.
10 gold coins in the game was worth 1 USD, which basically meant even the cheapest of the recipes were worth 50 USD.
For now, I decided to just sleep in the game and think about getting the antidote after waking up.
Sleeping for 4 hours in-game gave the same amount of energy to the real body that it'd get by sleeping in real life.
