"What the fuck!! It's an Epic IV-rated sword with a crystal socket!"
Fender shouted when he looked at the sword's info.
"Stop shouting. We saw it too."
"B-but it even has two additional options."
"As I said, we saw it too."
Lynch said with a foul expression on his face.
"Hey, Shura. What's your class's name again?"
Bowser asked curiously.
"Wasn't it mentioned in the world messages? It's Dulwak's Heir."
I replied to them with a weird expression on my face. I never thought they'd react so much. But I had forgotten the value of good weapons. Even I, previously a gunslinger, drooled after rare items. Forgot about an Epic IV item that was like a god's weapon for me back then, only a myth.
"Wasn't Dulwak someone who specialises in blade-type weapons? Swords, Daggers and stuff? Why can you do alchemy?"
This seemed like a genuine question when I saw Bowser's curious face.
It was true. Even I had searched through the internet. After the Legend rush event, people were much more about who exactly was 'Dulwak' on a superficial level.
Dulwak was a great bladesman who swept through the central continent with his power of blades. It was said that although he was a Legend, and was born way later than the Legendary Sword Saint. However, his swordsmanship skills were equally matched with the sword saint in his prime.
So seeing that I had inherited his class as a Blade Sage, it was weird that I was so proficient in alchemy.
"Since you guys are my guildmates and trusted me enough to even give up on your guild ownership, let me tell you something that the others don't know."
I stood up and took out a digital paper of acknowledgement. It was used between players to make their agreements legal, and if any of the parties broke the agreement, they were punishable by law.
"What's that for?"
Lynch asked.
"Since you guys made me sign an agreement for the guild transfer, I also want everyone here to sign an agreement of confidentiality. Anything that I talk about my class, job, race, weapons, skills or anything must never be leaked to outsiders, or they'll be punishable by the law of the United Countries and the law of Mayhem."
I said as I typed down the contents of the agreement. It was a necessary step for me to be able to trust these people. I didn't want to doubt my guildmates, but my previous experiences didn't give me the luxury to be doubtless.
"Well, it makes sense. It's a legendary class, so its confidentiality should be top secret. Anyone who doesn't want to sign this agreement can leave the guild immediately."
Lynch said. After all, he was still the co-leader of the guild and had the power to kick out just about anyone apart from me.
Everyone chuckled, hearing Lynch's words. Although anyone would get offended that their previous guild leader, who they had been with for years, had placed such a condition to leave. But these guys were smiling like they understood his actions.
"Hey, Lynch. You're just a brat, yet you dare to act all grown up? Do you think we are kids? Let's sign this goddamn agreement, everyone."
A middle-aged guy who was sitting at a table stood up and said. He looked rather refined from his looks, but his actions were like that of a brute.
Without any hesitation, everyone, including Nameless, Lynch, Bowser and Fender, signed the contract of confidentiality. Even the players that were offline had come online due to all the commotion of the guild's ownership transfer, and even when some weren't in the guild, they signed and sent the contract on guild chat.
'ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ N ovelBi(n)',
This was the first time people had so easily decided to compromise so much for me and people that I could trust even legally.
I felt a bit giddy in my heart. It was a feeling I was felt for the first time. But it wasn't bad at all.
—-Ahem!
"Since everyone here has already signed a contract, let me reveal some things about me that others don't know."
And hence, I began telling them about my class and how I had obtained it. If it could help even one of these people get any type of hidden class, it would be a big boost for the whole guild.
"Isn't that a bit too overpowered?"
Lynch and the others started questioning just when I began to tell them about the class's details.
"Rebirth after dying? On top of that, a stealth skill? Doesn't that basically guarantee your survival at places where you can't handle a situation?"
Fender said as he thought of what he would do if he ever had to fight such a person as an opponent, and he couldn't help but shiver.
"Equipping any item with a blade or edge to it unconditionally? Are level and stat restrictions a joke to legendary classes?"
The middle-aged guy, Mizzen, whose name I finally remembered after seeing his nametag, asked in astonishment.
"Okay, enough with your questions. Hear me out first. The Legendary class wasn't the end."
"..... there's more?"
Lynch asked with bloodshot eyes.
"Yeah, so. Do you guys remember when we first met, I said I have an Alchemist as a job? Well, it wasn't just any job. It was a special grade job called 'Night Alchemist'."
"....."
Pin drop silence.
All I could hear was the rugged breathing of Lynch and Mizzen.
"A special grade job along with a Legendary class?"
Bowser repeated my words questioningly just to confirm as he looked at me with his eyebrows twitching.
"...yeah."
—-Slam! Kick! Kick!
Bowser threw his beer jug with full force and started kicking it frantically. Just a few moments later, he calmed down, swung his hair around and combed them with his hand before he sat back in his seat with a handsome smile on his face as if all the craziness from a moment ago was a lie.
"Lynch, what have we been doing in this game for more than a year?"
"I want to ask you the same question."
I could hear the sounds of tongue clicking as everyone took in a deep breath. Some of them had bitter smiles, while some had indignant faces as if feeling that they had wasted their time for so long in Mayhem without achieving much.
'I know the feeling. I was, no, I still am a sour loser and feel indignant that I had wasted so much time earlier.'
I was surprised that I was able to accept the fact that all I had been was a complete loser for such a long while, and a single lucky encounter had turned my life around.
'Visit (No ve (l)B i n) to read, pls!',
"I get that you guys are upset, but the main thing is still remaining."
"....."
Everyone stared at me as if asking, 'There's more?'.
"Well, after gaining a new skill recently, I have received a quest to evolve my job…"
"Evolve your job? Isn't it already a special job? Jobs can be evolved?"
This time, everyone looked at me with a bit of both jealousy and hope. If there was an option to evolve jobs, there surely must be an option to evolve classes too. That meant that they still had a chance.
"Wait, if your job is already a special job…"
"Yeah, the quest is to evolve it into a legendary job…"
"..."
"Hey, Hey, stop! Lynch! What the fuck are you doing?"
"Don't stop me. Let me kill this walking luck tank and steal some of it!"
Lynch was burning with jealousy as others held him back from directly pouncing on me.
Out of the whole guild, he was the person who got the most jealousy related to everything. But that also made him a guy who was honest with others since he didn't bother hiding his emotions like the others.
"A Legendary class and a Legendary job…"
Everyone seemed to be in their own world, completely lost in their imagination.
After a while, everyone calmed down after Bowser's persuasion.
"What's the quest about? How can you gain this… Legendary job? What is this job anyways?"
Bowser asked, and I sighed.
"Actually, that's what I have come to find out too. It says I need to perform alchemy on a thousand souls. The job's name is Necro-Alchemist. Sounds like a mix of both Necromancer and Alchemist, doesn't it?"
"Uhh, yeah. Not gonna lie. I am very jealous right now. I need time to process this. But I promise you. We will help you to the best of our capabilities to get this job. After all, our leader needs to be the best."
Bowser said as he rubbed his temples and smiled weakly.
"Hey, I'll help you out this once, and you will help me out when I get my own legendary class quest."
Lynch said coldly, and when our eyes met, we both laughed.
"Sure, bud. Let's create Mayhem's best guild."
'"THE BEST GUILD!!"'
Everyone cheered as they heard my words.
