—-Achhooo!
Flynn sneezed out loud as he was looking at his Skreener.
"Someone must be really missing you."
Malaika, the seductive beauty said in a teasing voice.
Flynn was currently in his hotel room after the tournament's first day was over.
He decided that he didn't want to join the buffet that was being held for all the players and stayed in his room. To his surprise, Malaika also didn't go for the buffet party.
"It must be my mom… Or Clint."
Flynn replied as he turned off his skreener and looked at Malaika.
"Or it could be anyone else from the whole world. You're very popular now."
Malaika said as she put down her Skreener device too, taking a pillow and putting her hands on them as her head rested in her palms, looking intently at Flynn.
He felt a bit embarrassed being so brazenly looked at, but he didn't back down as he stared back and changed the topic.
"You seem like someone who parties a lot, why are you missing out on the free buffet?"
Flynn asked the Indian beauty. Honestly she looked prettier than most of the girls that he had seen in life. Not to mention that she was bold enough to stay out of make-up in front of him.
"The party type, huh? I get that a lot. But let me tell you a little secret. I only go to parties where I am earning profits or making business deals, I am not really into parties that much."
Malaika said as she opened her luggage drawer and took out a box.
She opened the box and placed it in front of Flynn, inside were some yellow coloured small ball-like things.
"Hmm?"
Flynn gave her a questioning look and she laughed.
"Try one, my mom made them. You won't get many Indian home-cooked laddoos in this day and age."
"Lado?"
"Laddoo! They're Indian sweets."
Malaika laughed hearing Flynn's mispronunciation.
Flynn looked at the laddoos with wary eyes and Malaika laughed again as she picked one herself and ate.
"Don't worry, even if I had to poison you, it wouldn't be with something so obvious."
Flynn was glad and scared at the same time. She basically accepted that she could poison him if she wanted to.
Without saying anything, Flynn picked one of the laddoos and ate them.
His narrow eyes widened in surprise as he stared at the heavenly sweet in his hand.
"It's a bit too sweet for me, but it tastes awesome!"
Flynn gave his honest opinion as he asked for another one.
After devouring three laddoos, Flynn already had a sweet tooth and felt like his teeths would break if he ate any further.
"Now, will you tell me what I just got bribed for?"
Flynn asked, remembering what kind of woman Malaika was.
"Offo! C'mon dude. It was really out of goodwill. But if you really insist, then consider it as owing me a favour."
Malaika said, and Flynn didn't miss the slight smug smile hidden on her face.
"Sure, I owe you a favour. As long as it isn't something illegal or out of my power, I would try to help you the best I can, whenever you need it that is."
Flynn said, feeling a bit cheated that he had to owe a favour to her like this, but when he realised that he had the power to refuse it too, he just let the matter slide.
"Did you check the news?"
Malaika asked, and Flynn nodded his head with a defeated smile.
"It's all about your crazy score, followed by Iqol's crazy massacre."
Malaika said as she felt a bit jealous. The forums, media and stuff were so heated right now that many of the sites had crashed. Not to mention the crazy amount of attention that MIT was getting.
The centre of all this news? It was mostly Shura, followed by Iqol and then the other players.
Kibea had officially announced the scoreboard of the first event and the actual predicted scores.
The first place score was predicted to be between 45-50k, but Shura's overwhelming 190k+ score was almost four times more than the original score.
Not to mention that even though it was far off from Shura, Iqol was still in the 90k's.
The other players had also overperformed, but definitely nowhere near the crazy Iqol or monstrous Shura.
The other players that were eliminated earlier were just happy to be in the top 1000 so that they could participate in the second event, the boss raid.
There were many speculations as to what the boss of the Deadnight Legion could be, but most of them only pointed towards one particular group of monsters.
"Undeads, huh?"
Malaika said as she looked at Flynn. She wanted to see his reaction, but she failed miserably as he just nodded his head.
"Well, it seems like that. The bones and all placed in the room, it's probably a bunch of skeletons. Otherwise the million strong army won't make sense."
To Malaika's surprise Flynn said what he thought of the event without hiding anything.
"Still, isn't a thousand players versus a million skeletons still too much?"
Malaika said with a pout. To her, it didn't make any sense. What were the developers thinking?
Not like skeletons inside will be level 1 mobs. They were going to be at least as strong as the other mobs that the players had faced in the events, if not stronger.
"I don't think they designed this event for it to be completed."
Flynn said as laid back on his soft bed.
"Eh? Then why would they even make an event that can't be completed?"
"I would answer you if I knew anything myself."
Flynn shook his head.
—-Knock! Knock!
Just after a few seconds, they heard a knock on the door.
"What? Who could it be?"
Malaika was surprised. She didn't think that either Flynn or her would have anyone who would come to visit directly uninvited.
"Are you expecting someone?"
Malaika asked and Flynn smiled.
"Nah, I wasn't. But I think I know who the guests are."
Flynn stood up and opened the door, in front of him stood 3-4 men in black suits.
"Mr Grey, you have been invited for dinner."
One of the men in black suits said, and Malaika jumped out of her bed, fixing her clothes as she asked them.
"Who's the inviter?"
"That would be Mr Terry Corbyn. Here's the invitation card. We hope you can make some time."
Saying that, the men in black handed over the exquisite invitation card as they walked away politely.
Flynn closed the door and opened the invitation card.
It had a very luxurious metallic finishing as well as a proper invitation, and address to the exact location.
"Woah! Someone's popular."
Malaika said as her cheeks were almost rubbing Flynn's, trying to peek into the invitation card.
"Were you invited because you scored the highest?"
Malaika asked.
"Nope."
"Then?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"Mean!"
Malaika stomped at the ground and jumped on her bed, pouting towards Flynn's face.
There was still more than 2 hours before the invitation, so Flynn just laid down on his bed for a while.
Around an hour later, another man in black came along with a brown coloured tux.
"Compliments of Mr Corbyn, would you be attending the dinner?"
So it was more of a 'check if he agreed' than a gift.
"Tell him he'll see me at the dinner, also tell him that I'll be bringing in another guest with me."
"Will do, sir."
The man in black handed over the tux and walked out, and Flynn looked at Malaika who had been pouty for the last hour. Her ears were perked up as she heard that Flynn told he'd be bringing one more guest.
"You going with your girlfriend?"
Malaika asked sarcastically, and looked at Flynn from the corner of her eyes.
"Indeed."
"Hmph."
Malaika harrumphed in displeasure.
"What are you still waiting for?"
Flynn said as he checked the tux from over his body.
"What?"
Malaika asked, confused.
"Get ready. We are going on a nice date. Although it will be with a bunch of old men if I am not wrong."
"Huh?"
"Hurry, or I won't take you. I am sure you don't want to miss the chance to have a private meeting with 'the' Terry Corbyn, right? I heard you were a great businesswomen."
"OHH! WOW! YOU'RE THE BEST!"
Malaika shouted as she finally realised what was going on, jumping in Flynn's embrace.
"I am aware, no need to shout."
Flynn chuckled as he barely held back his manly desires when he was oh so tightly hugged by this mature beauty.
Malaika gave a quick peck on Flynn's cheek and ran towards her luggage, trying to find out her best outfit for the dinner invitation.
It took 10 minutes for Flynn to jump in his suit and comb his hair, ready for the dinner. But he had to wait another 20 minutes for Malaika to change into her clothes, before she came out of the bathroom.
—-Haah!
Taking someone's breath away.
Flynn had always heard this phrase, but never experienced it. But for the first time in his life, he was running out of breath due to someone's sheer beauty.
Malaika was wearing a low cut, red-coloured dress, with a matching fiery red lipstick, and slight make-up on her face.
—-Gulp!
Flynn unintentionally gulped and changed the direction he was looking at. His heart was beating furiously.
'Can't believe I live in the same room as her.'
Flynn commented as he calmed himself down and then looked back at her, his eyes staring into hers.
"You done?"
"Yep."
"Let's go then."
