Stella was eavesdropping on the conversation between Dylan and Dominique. She completely hid her presence from them as she listened to them.
She covered her mouth using her hand as her eyes widened. A stunned expression could be seen on her face.
'What did I just hear? The Vampire King might be alive? Kira Alaric…' Stella didn't know how she would react upon hearing this.
She immediately thought of Victoria. She had to inform her about this. Though it was not yet confirmed, what if their former vampire king was truly alive? Would this affect their current status?
Victoria's and Raizel's leaderships were already good enough for the vampire clan to strike back. So, what would happen if Kira Alaric would come back and take his original throne?
Stella was not against it. But she was worried about the elder vampires who were supporting Victoria. The majority of them were still disappointed and hated the former vampire king.
If there would be a power struggle and conflict within the clan because of Kira's return, then it would affect their plan of eliminating the Werewolf King, Dominique, and defeating his clan.
There would be distraction. This was not the right time for that. They were already on the move. She already infiltrated the Silvano Family.
When Stella heard that Dominique and Dylan were done talking, she immediately left her hiding spot. Serena was already searching for her around the house. She bumped into her in the hallway.
"Stella? What are you doing here? I thought you disappeared again!" Serena pounced on her daughter, hugging her tightly.
They were just talking in the garden when Stella suddenly disappeared. Little did Serena know, Stella went to follow Dylan and Dominique as she was curious about the topic of their conversation.
She even got jealous when she heard Dylan mentioning his mate, Lyca. She could tell that Dylan was so in love with that human. Her heart clenched thinking that Dylan had already set his eyes on someone. Deep inside, she wished to be Dylan's woman after accomplishing her mission.
"I'm sorry, mother. I just picked up something inside my bedroom. You were so preoccupied a while ago, that's why I didn't disturb you while you were looking at the flowers," Stella said as an alibi.
In fact, her statement was a half-truth, since Serena was zoning out in the garden. She seemed so lost in her own thoughts, thinking about someone. Was it Kira?
Stella looked at Serena meaningfully. She smiled innocently to hide her true emotions. She was still in the process of absorbing the pieces of information she heard from Dylan and Dominique.
Aside from Kira, she also heard about the assassination attempt against the werewolf prince. Dylan was suspecting Cedric as the mastermind. Stella recalled that the werewolf who brought her to the Triple W Headquarters was Cedric.
She didn't have a good impression of him during their first meeting. She could sense that Cedric was a cunning man with lots of secrets. She would not be surprised if Dylan's words were true. She totally believed him, unlike Dominique who doubted his own son.
The mother and daughter duo were still in the hallway when Dylan passed by. He greeted them with a warm smile.
"Are you leaving already?" Serena asked her son.
Dylan nodded at her, moving closer to give her a kiss. Stella just stood there, staring at Dylan with longing. She didn't want him to leave just yet so she held his elbow.
"Brother, can't you stay here longer?" Stella asked him with a pleading look in her eyes.
Dylan raised his hand to caress her cheek. Then he smiled faintly, answering her query.
"Yes, sis. I have to go now. Don't worry. I will stop by to visit you. I have a mission to do. But after one month, I'll come back to our kingdom. Just wait for me there. Okay?"
Stella hesitated for a moment. She didn't want to say yes as she wanted Dylan to stay. But she knew him well. Dylan would insist on leaving. She could see the determination in his eyes.
At that certain moment, Stella told herself to help Dylan find out the truth. She would try to gather proof about Cedric's evil scheme. To do that, she had to get close to him.
But before anything else, she had to fulfill her task of 'spying'. She had to wait for Victoria's next command. Taking a move now against Dominique was still risky. She had to gain his trust first for him to lower his guard. If there was a great opportunity, then she would grab it just to kill Dominique.
Though Dominique was Dylan's father and she wanted to win Dylan's heart, Stella was still so determined to kill the Werewolf King as part of her revenge. Dominique murdered her whole family and she became their slave!
"Okay…" She faintly responded to Dylan while biting her lower lip.
Dylan said goodbye to them, hugging both women. When he left, Stella asked Serena to go with her to the mall. She would go there to meet Victoria secretly.
Not suspecting anything, Serena allowed Stella to go there but on one condition– she had to bring five elite bodyguards to watch her and ensure her safety.
Serena also tagged along with her. She didn't want to get separated from Stella as she was afraid to lose her again. Stella couldn't say no to Serena so she agreed. Besides, she didn't want to create suspicion. She had to act naturally in front of Serena and Dominique.
Dominique also gave his permission for the two ladies to leave. He wanted to come but he had something important to do.
Fifteen minutes later, Serena and Stella arrived at the mall. The two roamed around, shopping! They were in the lady's clothes section when Stella caught a glimpse of a familiar figure–Victoria Bancroft.
Their eyes met for several seconds before Stella looked away. She already got Victoria's message. Stella looked at Serena who was busy choosing dresses for her daughter.
"Mother, I will just go to the changing room and try this out," Stella said, showing her the dress she already picked.
Serena bobbed her head as a response. "Go ahead. Try this as well." Serena handed another three dresses to Stella.
Stella accepted them. She simply glanced at Victoria, as she went to the changing room first. After that, Victoria followed her. Serena had no idea that a vampire was just lurking around them.
