White Tiger
[Tai Lung's POV]
Silence.
The absolute lack of sound when more than two hundred thousand people occupied the space. It couldn't be put into words just how jarring that scene was.
So there was silence.
But it had more weight than a million words strung together by a poet.
Silence was everything. It was fear, it was courage, it was disbelief, it was worship, it was despair, it was hope.
It was the enemy and it was the hero.
Then the world cried. It was not exactly a sound, but something high-pitched, it was a vibration you hear with your whole body.
Blue flames blinded their sight, they were so bright and hot, they burned their eyes.
There was no smoke because it burned everything, leaving no residue. The blue flames came from my body as they roared out in the silence of space. There was no other sound so it became everything.
A looming noise, as if they were hundreds of feet underwater. It pressed on their eardrum like a heavy blanket.
The enemy army held their breath, and those who were unfortunate enough to breathe had to choke on the searing air, void of oxygen. They suffocated in silence.
The reality stilled.
The world was forced to bear a miracle.
..
..
Sound returns only with my permission. I gave one word to the silence as it broke.
"Burn."
I summoned the most destructive element in the world and gave it order.
The world was unsilenced and chaos emerged. The screams of the enemy synch with the roaring sound of my flames as it move towards them like gigantic waves in the ocean.
They didn't have time to run, their legs wouldn't move to avoid the inevitable. They froze before the flames, yet their corpse would never know cold.
I drove my arm forward as blue flames rushed out from my body. They shot at my enemy like a giant flamethrower and burned everything without remorse.
My fire covered the entire valley as it swallowed the entire frontier of the enemy battalion. Their numbers dwindled at great speed but so did my Chi.
I wouldn't be able to continue for long as I still need to fight a war. I needed to conserve as much Chi as possible.
My fire looked like a second sun as it lit up the valley. I continued my attack for ten whole seconds before I ceased my action.
"Haaaaaaaa..." I released a breath and with it, the heat in my body.
There was a pause and then there were screams of fear and gasp of shock from the surroundings. What greeted me was the sight of charred land mixed with melted rocks like lava.
I did not know how much I killed as their bodies were all reduced to ash but I knew I brought down their number by at least four digits.
He was expecting this, or should he say he was expecting the unexpected when it came to Tai Lung. But the scene he just witnessed was beyond just the unexpected.
It was a true miracle.
No one in the history of Kung Fu was able to summon and control elements like that. It was the first in the history of animalkind.
Not to mention Tai Lung's brilliant command over his soldiers the way he boosts their morale, and most impressively the way he set up the position of his soldiers in the valley.
It was breathtaking. It was something that would take a fellow general to truly appreciate.
"We need to retreat for now and launch an attack after we recovered mentally. Otherwise, we are just pigs waiting to be slaughtered." Master Sloth said and was about to announce an official order to retreat to his fleeing soldiers but he was stopped.
"There will be no need. 'He is almost ready'." A commander from the kingdom of Nanzhao said, objecting to Master Sloth's decision.
Master Sloth bit his lips. Whether if they were his soldiers or not, he never liked seeing people die but he knew he could not do anything else.
It's all or nothing.
"Then we need to start moving. We save as many soldiers as possible. GO!!" Master Sltoh ordered and the different masters which were in the middle of the army shot out to fight in the frontlines.
These masters were shortly stopped by Master Ox and Master Croc before they could change the tide of battle though.
"Hey! Where are you going!" Turtle Monk screamed at Master White Tiger who was slowly walking away from them. "We were told to stay here until Master Eagle makes his move!."
"I don't fucking care!" White Tiger screamed and bared his fangs. His eyes were red in anger as he gazed towards Tai Lung.
The motherfucker had gotten THIS strong huh?
The image of the past where Tai Lung defeated him appeared in his mind and it made him more agitated. All of his soldiers who were on the frontlines and died were fresh in his mind.
He was angry.
"Tai Lung is mine!" He said and using a movement technique, he shot towards Tai Lung.
The battle between two supreme felines.
