The food on the ground gave off an alluring aroma, and the last remnants of the hot air rose into the air like smoke.

White marble slabs were like giant basins, carrying bits and pieces of food.

Ji Ye sat off to the side, smiling elegantly with a bit of malice.

Squatting down, Ji Li picked up a piece of meat and put it into his mouth. He chewed it slowly. It tasted so good. She had never eaten anything so delicious before.

She didn't think that it was something picked up from the ground, but something her uncle gave her to eat. She had to eat it obediently, or else her uncle would hate her even more.

"Is it delicious?" Ji Ye asked gently, as if he was concerned about his daughter.

"Yes." "Delicious, thank you uncle." Ji Li felt sorrowful in his heart as he happily spoke with a smile on his face.

Ji Ye's expression turned cold. It was as if the smiling and warm Ji Ye had never appeared before.

He stood up and said, "Then eat slowly. We'll start school tomorrow."

He walked outside and didn't even look at Ji Li. He changed from gentle to cold so quickly and so naturally that she knew her uncle hated her. The food on the ground was cooling down, so she ate it all without saying a word.

On the same day, Ji Ye found the best school for Ji Xue. Every day, it was delivered by the driver and sometimes by Ji Ye himself.

The first two days, it was a beautiful spring morning.

Mama Li rode a tricycle and brought Ji Li to a nearby primary school. Ji Li sat in the back, still wearing the old robe. The old school bag beside him was left behind by his mother Li's son when he was young.

The birdsong and fragrant flowers made Ji Li exceptionally happy. This was the first time she left the mansion.

A silver sports car came from the back. Through the window, she saw her uncle and the snow. The snow was lovely today, with butterfly clips on the long hair, and the clothes were pink.

Ji Li didn't know whether he should laugh or not. She only knew that she couldn't laugh.

When the car finally roared past, she turned her head and watched it disappear.

"Miss Li, this is pencil and eraser. You should study hard!" Mama Li brought her to school and bought cheap stationery at the school gate. No matter what, she was still a child.

Ji Li took it and carefully put it into his old school bag. Mrs Li left and walked into the school alone.

The faded sign at the door said Sunshine Elementary School, black in color, and the sun's ears were blurred, making it look like Sunlight Elementary School.

Ji Li held the form Mama Li gave him and went to register. Behind her stood a boy with very bright hair.

When it was her turn, she handed the note to the seated aunt. She was kind, with dimples.

"You're called Ji Li?" The teacher was surprised to find out that her address was Ji family's villa. However, why would a child like that come to this kind of place to attend primary school?

Ji Li politely replied, "Yes, Auntie."

"I am not an aunt. Call me Teacher Zhang." Zhang Yuqi was the teacher here, and her home was the exterior of the Ji family villa.

In the classroom, most of the children were from the same village, so they chose their seats early on. There was no one sitting next to the little boy, so she walked over and sat down.

The little boy was dressed in beige clothes and his hair was bright.

"Hello, my name is Wen Ziyu, and your name is Ji Li, right?" The little boy greeted her warmly and amicably.

"Yes, how do you know my name?" Ji Li asked curiously.

The little boy said shyly, "I just overheard you talking to the teacher. Can I be your friend? "

Ji Li was stunned for a moment. This was the first time someone said they wanted to be friends with her. She happily smiled and said, "Sure."
