Chapter 20 Lying Her Way Through

Name:Mr. Fang's Feisty Mistress Author:
Wearing her confident smile, Zhang Liling stepped into the building and went straight to the receptionist desk to confirm her appointment with the job recruitment agency on the 4th floor.

All the receptionist could think when she met Zhang Liling, was, 'Why is she looking for a job?' because she felt she had it all. But because of her kind gesture, she didn't dwell on it.

When Zhang Liling got to the 4th floor with the help of the elevator, she gave her name to the young man at the desk, and he smiled at her before giving her the direction of the office she could enter.

Releasing a deep breath to ward off every form of nervousness she was feeling, she knocked twice on the door before her and went in.

"You must be Miss Zhang." The middle-aged man said with a warm smile as he studied her from head to toe. In his mind, he has already given her a 75% score for the problem he thought she could solve.

He accessed her with his eyes and saw that she was not too richly dressed which meant that she gets good pay from her job, but had a good dressing style, she looked young, but her aura seemed mature and concluded that she was valuable.

The remaining 25% would be added after having a short conversation with her.

"Please take a seat, Miss Zhang," He said while gesturing with his hand, before taking a seat himself.

"Thank you." Zhang Liling said with a smile and then went on to take out her fake resume.

"I have already seen the one you submitted through our mail, and I must say that you are remarkable. But why did you choose to become a housekeeper, you are still young, almost 27." The manager asked.

"I enjoy keeping good houses clean and taking care of families, it's a hobby for me. Secondly, the pay is quite generous."

Zhang Liling sounded so confident and truthful while looking professional as well as if she has received some sort of special training from an academy before, and the manager liked that about her.

"I see that you have 7 years of experience in this line of work which isn't that long, but you have a good reputation. Why are you not popular, and why did you choose to find a job through my agency when the connections of the family you've worked for could help you land a bigger job?"

The corner of Zhang Liling's lips arched outwardly in a smile. "I like finding opportunities myself, and being known worldwide as a housekeeper, it's not really a good thing, because some families like to be confidential, down to the people that work for them."

This last response was what gave Zhang Liling her employment letter which had already been signed and stamped by the manager. And she went ahead to fill out some paperwork.

"I think we might have a job for you soon, so get prepared." The manager said with a suggestive smile as he shook her hand., and she thanked him before leaving.

It was only the manager that knew how much sense her last sentence made because someone like the great Mr. Fang came to them to find a housekeeper discreetly, and sending someone like her, wouldn't bring trouble for them.

For Zhang Liling, her last sentence was a lie used to cover up the fact that was faking her career and all the achievement she listed, while at the same time portraying how some families might be.

Immediately after she left his office, the manager picked up his telephone to dial a number with a huge smile sitting on his face.

"Mr. Bolin, I think we might have the right housekeeper for you. I'm sending her details to your mail."

The manager didn't want to talk too much because he might get irritated, so he kept the conversation short.

"I will take a look at it and get back to you as soon as possible," Bolin said while keeping an eye on the people moving things inside the Villa.

He knew Mr. Fang's taste quite alright, so he was assigned to oversee that the work gets done smoothly.

When Zhang Liling left the building, she met a house agent to show her any available houses in a good area, as the price wasn't a problem for her, since she has money gotten from both parents.

When they got to the first apartment building, Zhang Liling got a call from Tungmei and smiled apologetically to the agent before shifting to the side to answer the call.'

"Hello…"

"Liling, where have you disappeared to, are you not coming for the lectures today?" Tungmei asked with a tinge of worry in her tone.

It was almost 15 minutes to their first class for the day, and she was nowhere to be seen.

Zhang Liling first looked around her surroundings with a smile before responding to the question, "I won't be able to make it to school today, just help me to take attendance and photocopy your notes, I will see you in the evening."

Tungmei wanted to ask if everything was alright with her, but her tone sounded like she was over the moon, so she didn't see any need to go on with it.

"You really have to explain yourself when we meet. I have to go now, talk to you later, bye."

"Bye," Zhang Liling replied and hung up, before rejoining the house agent.

After 2 wasted hours, Zhang Liling finally settled on a house in a good area with tight security. At least if her stepmother finds out she rented a house, she wouldn't be allowed into the area if she wanted to visit.

She can't gain entrance unless she allowed it.'

After spending so much money on the two-bedroom apartment and doing the paperwork with a lawyer, the house finally belonged to her, for just a year unless she decides to renew the rent later, or buys the house out.

While she was making an arrangement to furnish the house a bit with the remaining money she had left, she got a call from an unfamiliar number, which was unsaved in her contact list.
