Taking a bite from the pastry, Zhang Liling chewed on it and hurriedly gave him a thumbs up.
Instinctively, a smile that reached the eyes flashed across the Chef's face.
He was happy for receiving a positive feedback from her. It was every Art crafter's dream.
Swallowing the minced piece in her mouth, she held in the urge to take another bite.
"I love this, it's spicy and the cream is not heavy." She said before hurriedly taking another bite as her patience expired.
The Chef was so happy that he immediately brought a ceramic flat plate and placed another one on it before handing it over to her.
"Since you like it so much, you can have another one." He said.
Without delaying, she hurriedly took the plate from him. "Thank you," she said with eyes shining brighter than the stars in the night sky.
"I will enjoy this," she added.
The Chef nodded in response before revealing to her, "It's too bad that Mr. Fang may not appreciate of this."
Instantly, Zhang Liling's ears piqued with interest at the matter concerning Fang Bingwen, and she immediately probed as her brows furrowed slightly.
"Why do you say so?"
"He doesn't like any food with a heavy taste, and I think I did a bad job with this one. I will just have to redo it later in the evening." The Chef explained.
'I see... His tastebuds are bad too...' Zhang Liling's thoughts trailed off while nodding at the Chef.
Zhang Liling was aware about Mr. Fang's condition, and she was surprised that his tastebuds were affected.
"Does it mean he only eats bland food?" She couldn't help but to ask.
She really was curious as to what had happened to him in her absence.
The little information she had from poking around wws not enough, so she needed to hear about different aspect of him from people that closely worked for him.
"Not all the time. As long as I am not able to detect the taste of the spice in the food, then it would be fine. But being a Chef, I have a good palate, and also my tastebuds are superb. Sometimes, it can be a little hard to incorporate this new changes."
A few more minutes of chatting, Zhang Liling was able to find out more about Mr. Fang's taste preferences and she felt bad for leaving him for such a long time.
'Mr. Fang, I'm back now. I'm never leaving again,' she promised to herself.
Some minutes later, she was already at the sink area after putting the second pastry in the microwave.
She had in mind to hear it up later.
For now, she couldn't stomach anything afwtr finishing a whole table of dishes and still going on to eat the first pastry.
Zhang Liling felt that her stomach was going to explode if she went on wih her greed. Hence in other to help herself, she had to put away the second snack and drink a lot of water before going over to the sink.
It wouldn't be advisable to go back to her bedroom to rest when her stomach was still full. She thought it would be wise to do a little exercise, hence she decided to wash the plates in the sink.
When she was done, she paryed ways with the Chef before going to her bedroom.
Right outside the door, she met the housekeeper stepping out with two other servants she had never met before.
She was not surprised to see them because Butler Gu had told her that Mr. Fang had hired a two new female servants.
Know seeing them for herself, she looked a bit relief.
The female servants were young, but older than her.
Studying their faces as they bowed to her slightly before leaving, she thought to herself, 'They are not to Mr. Fang's taste.'
"Miss Zhang, we have finished moving your things and putting things in order. I will leave you to take a little rest." Ms. Chu said to her, jolting her awake.
Instantly, Zhang Liling smiled before nodding her to politely.
Zhang Liling allowed her to leave first before stepping into her bedroom.
A wowed expression was left on her face as her gaze darted around in amazement.
It still felt surreal to be in a new room in Mr. Fang's house.
This marked the beginning of a new chapter of their lives.
With that happiness surging through her like electricity, she left for the walk-in closet to check the arrangement that was done.
Satisfied with everything, she walked back to the bedroom and on getting next to her bed, she let her body fall freely.
As she did that, she felt the object that slid out from her pocket and unhurriedly reached out for it.
Swiping her finger across the screen of her phone, she slid down from the top to reveal the shortcut icons.
She quickly went the silence button that was turned on, and clicked on it to turn it off before pressing hard on the button by the side of her phone.
Seeing a few options pop up, she tapped on the 'Switch off' icon before throwing her phone to the side.
Closing her eyes, she left out a deep sigh before slowly entering into a deep slumber.
Several hours later, Mr. Fang returned from work, and the first sentence that left his mouth of him asking about Zhang Liling.
Butler Gu took Mr. Fang's suit jacket and briefcase from him in fluid movement afwtr greeting him.
Adjusting his necktie, Mr. Fang asked with a serious gaze, "Where is Liling?"
"Oh! Miss Zhang has been in her bedroom since she finished having her breakfast. We were afraid to disturb her sleep, hence we didn't go to check on her," The Butler replied immediately.
Mr. Fang shifted his gaze away and continued in his steps without uttering another word.
'Is she that exhausted?' he thought to himself as a little worry flashed past his eyes.
Mr. Fang felt that sleeping for more than 6 hours in the day no matter how tired the person was.
He understood that she must have been weared out from the long flight, still she needed to sit up a bit and take a walk around.
Instead of going up the stairs, Mr. Fang, made a turn and went toward the hallway.
Guessing where he was heading to, the Butler quickly notified him that he was going to keep his things in his bedroom before turning to leave.
