Chapter 253 Something To Talk About

Name:Mr. Fang's Feisty Mistress Author:
Fang Bingwen could very well feel the happiness she was exuding. And it didn't help matters that she didn't try to hide it.

Maybe she wanted him to know how she truly felt.

But as to what the old lady meant by bullying, it was left for them to find out what she actually meant.

At least, they understood the first hint, which was a reminder of the age gap between them.

Fang Huiqing who was standing beside his wife, cleared his throat and successfully attracted their attention.

Glancing at his son, he asked without calling his name.

"You two have been dating for a year now, and that is enough time. When do you plan on getting married?"

'Huh? G-Get M-Married? I-Is that not so soon?'

Zhang Liling was taken aback by that question as she failed to hide her facial expression.

Those who were not sure, would have thought that she and Fang Bingwen were not truly dating, because her reaction just gave that idea.

Yes, she wanted to get married to Mr. Fang, but their dating life had mainly been online, and that too with thousands of distance between them.

It's not like if Mr. Fang asked her to marry him now, she wouldn't agree to it. But the issue here, was that she wanted to experience a normal dating life with him before settling down.

Stealing a glance from the man beside her, she didn't notice any change in his facial expression and wondered what he was thinking and a few seconds later, she found out.

'She doesn't want to get married now?' Fang Bingwen thought when he saw Zhang Liling's surprised gaze, but then, he ignored his thoughts and just faced his father.

"I will let you know when we are ready."

His response was so simple and direct that no one could refute him so soon.

Even the old lady who had agreed with her son about their marriage plans, looked a little disappointed.

She had thought that she could at least get an encouraging response from her grandson, but he chose to shatter her hope, and the ray of light coming from his nameplate in her heart.

Zhang Liling was the only one that sighed in relief as she felt that Mr. Fang's response was the best.

At least they would have that opportunity of planning and deciding things by themselves.

This way, things between then would not seem forced and hurried, and for that she was grateful.

Hearing his response, Fang Huiqing didn't utter another word.

No one tried to persuade them to get married in a hurry, but Jian Cuifen had a little hope.

"Bingwen, don't let us wait for long. If you and Liling are worried about taking care of the child that would come later, I am here."

Just in case this was a matter that was preventing them from coming to a conclusion about taking the next step, she was already offering them assistance ahead of time.

And to her suggestion, the old lady chimed in. "Wenwen, I am here as well. You and Liling should not think too much."

Zhang Liling could only manage a smile, while letting Mr. Fang wrap up the matter.

They were his family members, not hers.

Taking in a deep breath, she let it out almost immediately.

Thinking back to the topic about babies, caused a blush to creep up her cheeks. That thought alone, reminded her of the methods of baby making, and her body couldn't help but react to it instinctively.

Before climbing into the car, Jian Cuifen and the old lady reached out to embrace Zhang Liling and held her hands to chat for a bit.

They both told her to visit often.

Then glancing at Fang Huiqing who stood quietly by the side, Zhang Liling was reminded of her mother's matter, and was tempted to ask him about it, but she just couldn't bring herself to do it.

Feeling her gaze on him, Fang Huiqing said to her, "Extend our greetings to your mother. When next she comes to City S, we should meet up."

Smiling, Zhang Liling nodded in compliance before Mr. Fang took her hand and walked her back to the car.

*******

The journey back to City S was smooth and sailing, and Zhang Liling couldn't stop herself from talking about how welcoming the Fang Family was.

Although, Mr. Fang was not too interested in what she was talking about, he still replied her when necessary.

Fortunately, she didn't keep on talking for long before they both faced their phones.

Going straight to her favourite social App, Zhang Liling found her best friend's contact and clicked on it, before typing away.

'Tungmei, I'm back. Let's meet up when you are free.'

After sending the message to Tungmei who was offline at that time, she proceeded to reply to most of her pending messages, before a voice came from above her head.

"Have you planned on where you want to work? Do you want to go back to Zhang Corp or come to Fang Group?" Mr. Fang asked a little curiously.

This girlfriend of his, was still yet to make a decision about her place of work.

Hearing his question, Zhang Liling seemed a bit thoughtful as she her gaze stretched into the distance.

Putting her phone aside, she thought for a bit before meeting his gaze.

"I have been thinking about it, I really do not want to let Shi Wenqian have her way, but I don't want to worry my mother, so I would come work in Fang Group."

Left for Zhang Liling, she would have loved to work in Zhang corp, and fight with Zhang Mingyu squarely for the successor position. Afterall, she had a bargaining chip in her hand, to make her father accept her if she wanted.

But because she didn't have a strong enough backbone, so she thought, she decided to let the storm remain calm.

Mr. Fang nodded at her response, but although he was staring at her, it was clear that his mind was elsewhere.

Finally, when Zhang Liling was about to go back to pressing her phone, he said in a serious tone.

"Liling, I have something to talk to you about. I feel that you have the right to know about it, but it's not yet time to let you in on it."

"Huh? What do you want to talk about, is it serious?" Zhang Liling raised a questioning brow, as her gaze met his.

"It is." He admitted. "What I want to tell you, will determine your choice of the company you would choose to work for."

As a soft sigh escaped from his lips, he continued, "But I will give you a few days more to relax."
