"You... You..." Brother Jing didn't know what else to say as he pointed a finger at Wei Shi.
"What?" Wei Shi asked while crossing his arms over his chest. "You'll ask for it anyway, will you not?"
Brother Jing was tongue-tied as he scratched the back of his head out of embarrassment. He could not really refute what Wei Shi had said because that was probably what he would have done even after hearing the other party's confirmation.
Watching the two guards bantering with each other, Wang Rouxi seemed amused as her perfectly arched eyebrows raised, a hint of a smile showing on her face.
Not long after, Wang Rouxi noticed a car pulled to a stop right behind hers. Alighting from the car was Secretary Sun who quickly went forward to greet her.
The two guards stopped their bickering and quieted down when they saw Secretary Sun approaching. They even retreated a few steps back to make way for him.
"Ms. Rouxi!" Secretary Sun's cheerful voice betrayed him. He could not hide his excitement upon seeing his new boss. "Good morning!"
Wei Shi and Brother Jing stood at the side with their eyes wide-open.
That is Sun Yiqi, right?
The legendary Secretary Sun Yiqi!
After seeing Secretary Sun, the two guards could not help but look at Wang Rouxi in a new light.
Who was this goddess in front of them?
As they were about to cast another glance at Wang Rouxi, Secretary Sun blocked their view.
"Ahem... ahem..." clearing his throat, Secretary Sun faced the two Northern Sky Palace guards, "Kindly open the gates."
"Yes, Sir!"
Wei Shi and Brother Jing immediately returned back to their posts, their other peers looking at them curiously.
Why do they look like they had been injected with chicken blood? [1]
Not minding the inquisitive gazes directed at them, Wei Shi and Brother Jing gallantly opened the magnificent gates of Northern Sky Palace for Secretary Sun and that goddess, even raising their hands in salutations as the cars drove passed them.
Looking at the vast expanse of land inside the Northern Sky Palace, Wang Rouxi's curious gaze could not help but wander around the villas which were full of extravagance and grandeur.
This high-end subdivision was the gathering place for the wealthiest people in the capital!
Owning the largest empire in the whole China, it was no surprise that the Wang Family could afford such luxury.
Not long after, they reached Villa No. 9. It was situated at the heart of the Northern Sky Palace, covering the most territory, with a crystalline lake, a conservatory and a flower garden right behind it.
Actually, there were only nine villas at the Northern Sky Palace, with villa No. 9 being undoubtedly the best!
Rumors say that the proprietor believes a saying in China that 'reaching to nine heaven' means reaching the realm of God. Thus, they specifically designed the number of villas in the Northern Sky Palace to be nine.
Even though it was not Secretary Sun's first time visiting here, he was still thunderstruck upon seeing the majestic view of this castle.
However, he was fully aware that they should not keep Master and Madam Wang waiting for so long. After all these years working for the Wang Family, Secretary Sun obviously knew the temper of Master Wang. So without further ado, he helped Miss Rouxi out of her car and lead her towards the mansion.
Standing in front of the huge double doors of the Wang Mansion, the two of them did not have to wait for a long time before it was opened by a girl in her early twenties wearing a maid's uniform.
The maid whose name was Yongren immediately bowed down upon seeing who it was at the door.
"Lady Xinji."
However, Yongren could not help but sneak a peek at her young missus. 'Lady Xinji looks much more beautiful with her new hairstyle,' she thought to herself.
Because she was too distracted by the celestial beauty in front of her, Yongren did not notice Secretary Sun standing at the side.
At that moment, Madam Wang reached the bottom of the stairs and was also slightly stunned when she saw Wang Rouxi.
It had only been a few days since she last saw her beloved daughter but now...
"My dear, Xinji! I almost did not recognize you!"
There was a look of wonder and astonishment in Madam Wang's eyes.
She was really surprised to see her only daughter looked more beautiful than the last time she saw her.
"Why did you not call that you're coming over? I could have asked the kitchen to prepare something for you."
At the side, Secretary Sun had an indescribable expression on his face.
He was clearly baffled as to why Madam Wang and the maid had referred to Miss Rouxi as Lady Xinji.
Surely, Madam Wang would have recognized that this was not her daughter, right?!
