Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Children of Thanos

A few minutes earlier, facing the threat from Black Dwarf, Alex suddenly smiled at him before withdrawing his repulsive force, letting the Chitauri commander fall from midair. Black Dwarf observed this with an expected confidence; after all, against the Black Order, any force would capitulate, especially the weak Earthlings!

However, what he saw next was the Earthling approaching the Chitauri commander, touching his skin with a finger, and in a flash of light, the Chitauri commander turned to ashes, consumed by an overwhelming energy forced into his body!

After doing this, Alex gave Black Dwarf the middle finger, a friendly gesture from his perspective. Nearby, Tony Stark witnessed this scene, pointing toward the distant Black Order spaceship, and said to Alex:

"Is it really a good idea to provoke them like that? They seem to be angry; maybe we should get out of here?"

Through the control room's glass, they could clearly see the distant spaceship. After Alex's rude gesture, the communication with the spaceship was cut off, and its main cannon began to charge, clearly preparing to attack the Chitauri mothership.

Tony, while checking the Mark VII's diagnostics, continued, "Their energy output this time is comparable to a nuclear explosion, and it's a continuous energy beam. We can't block it. I suggest we immediately retreat and ask the Sorcerer Supreme for help to fend off the Thanos army."

But suddenly, he realized Alex had already opened a portal and stepped through it, appearing directly in front of the oncoming laser beam.

Tony immediately shouted, "What are you doing? Come back! Even if you can withstand a nuclear explosion, you can't block the energy beams of a spaceship! Compared to a nuke, these energy beams are far more focused and powerful! Quickly open the portal, and let's return to Earth together. The Sorcerer Supreme can handle everything..."

Before he could finish, the terrifying energy beam shot from the spaceship's main cannon, instantly crossing the vast distance to the Chitauri mothership.

Compared to the thick energy beam, Alex looked like a mere ant, a fool attempting to stop a rolling boulder with his bare hands, destined to be crushed in an instant!

Tony opened another portal, trying to pull Alex back and transport him to Earth. Even with the combined might of magic and the Mark armor, it wasn't enough to budge Alex.

And just in that moment of stalemate, the energy beam closed in, ready to engulf both Alex and Tony. Tony Stark yelled, "No!"

He tried to release another portal, but it was too late! In the next moment, the energy beam hit them. Tony could only hope that his Mark armor and Alex's physical resilience would buy them a few moments of survival.

However, when the energy beam touched Alex, it suddenly stopped!

Tony Stark stared in shock, "What happened?!"

He saw Alex holding out one hand, blocking the energy beam, which was unable to advance even an inch closer!

Alex turned back, smiling at Tony, "Calm down. Stay here with Cap and the others. I'll be back soon!"

"Do you really think you two can make me surrender?"

Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight exchanged glances and immediately separated, attacking Alex from two directions.

Corvus Glaive moved first, swinging a blade said to be able to split atoms toward Alex.

But even though his weapon could slice atoms, it couldn't advance an inch against the Infinity.

Alex casually extended his hand, and the repulsive force sent Corvus Glaive flying, smashing through the walls and out of the control room.

Then Alex turned and faced Proxima Midnight, who was coming at him with a spear, a weapon said to be as fast as light. But even her spear couldn't penetrate his defense.

Seeing the bizarre sight before her, Proxima Midnight's eyes finally showed fear.

Not even when facing Thanos had she felt such immense pressure.

Glaring at the white-haired Earthling, she demanded, "Who the hell are you?"

Clearly, Alex had no intention of answering. He vanished from his spot and reappeared right in front of Proxima Midnight, and with a point-blank singularity glowing with black-red light in his hand, he struck her head!

In the next instant, her head exploded, splattering blood everywhere. A massive crater appeared in the floor beneath where her head had been!

Just then, Corvus Glaive returned to the control room and saw his wife's gruesome fate.

"No!"

He screamed in grief and rushed at Alex, like a moth to a flame.
