Chapter 233: Ch.232 New Tactic

Wade pocketed the cash, finally understanding the situation. As a creation of the government's Weapon X program, Deadpool knew a lot about mutant research.

Namor wasn't exactly a mutant, but his blood and genes were valuable. If these were scattered all over the world, even Deadpool wouldn't want to live in a fishy-smelling world.

Namor + cloning + Atlantis = apocalypse. It felt like a childhood memory to Wade, with his teacher writing this formula on the chalkboard while Bullseye aimed at the teacher's backside.

Most importantly, he didn't like eating fish, especially having to deal with bones.

"I'm in. What's the plan?"

"The plan is simple. First, meet my teammates: Dr. Holloway and Monarch, the Magic Prince." Su Ming introduced the two who had been watching from the sidelines. "This is Wade, my little cousin."

Deadpool wasted no time, immediately jumping over to put his arms around the other two, acting like they were old friends.

"I've heard of you, the first Avenging Angel. You might not be top-tier, but you've lived long enough. Ever considered signing up for Deadpool's Boot Camp? You'll be a top-tier killer in no time."

"..." Dr. Holloway was immediately deflated. Two-Gun Kid hadn't told him what his future would be like, but now it didn't sound too promising.

"As for the magician..." Deadpool sized Monarch up for a long time before making a "tsk" sound. "Sorry, never heard of you. Not too familiar with the magic world, but hey, we're both handsome guys from smelly homes. No big deal, we're men of substance, ha!"

Monarch simply tipped his bowler hat as a polite greeting. Magicians typically stayed hidden, away from regular people, so it seemed at least that he hadn't gone crazy and caused a disaster in the future.

"Alright, we've locked down several locations where Namor might be. Your job is simple: charge into each place, insult everyone you see, and provoke them to attack you."

Wade scratched his head. "Uh, sounds simple, but you've got a healing factor too, and some nice armor. Shouldn't this be your job?"

"Well, you're a bit more creative with the insults. I'll support you from the back."

Su Ming brushed off the question. Sure, he had healing abilities, but it wasn't invulnerability. Certain attacks still hurt. Since he was paying Wade, might as well let him do the dirty work.

"Haha, of course Deadpool's got creativity. I'm Earth's most... eloquent mercenary!" He glanced at Su Ming mid-sentence and corrected himself. "Anyway, break in, insult them, cut them down, and we're done, right?"

"Exactly. And if things go south and we need to retreat, you're on rear guard."

Su Ming put an arm around Wade's shoulder as they continued walking under the umbrella. The doctor and magician followed behind.

Deadpool kept up a steady stream of chatter the entire way down. Su Ming felt like he was walking beside hundreds of ducks, with Deadpool's fast-paced talk being unbelievably annoying. Eventually, he chose to ignore it altogether since the questions were pointless.

Holloway might've wanted to chat with Deadpool, to hear more about future stories, but the doctor was struggling to keep up with the group physically. His mouth was too busy gasping for air to make conversation.

The magician, on the other hand, was doing just fine. Despite being a mage, usually seen as a delicate profession, Monarch had grown up in a barbarian tribe and had undergone voodoo enhancements. He wasn't a regular human by any means.

The damp environment reminded Monarch of the rainforest. He quite liked London.

"You're still so cold. Would you love me more if I offered you my... uh... flower?" Deadpool continued his harassment, pretending to be heartbroken as he slid down the ladder.

Su Ming closed his eyes and sighed. "Godkiller. Pipe unclogger."

The weapon instantly appeared in the sewer, transforming into a massive hand-cranked drill. It glowed with an intense golden light, resembling a giant iron serpent with vicious spirals.

"What was that you just said? Something about plumbing your flower?"

Deadpool held his breath. That thing, as thick as an arm and covered in spikes, was terrifying. He'd almost forgotten that his cousin had a shapeshifting weapon. Where had he even been hiding it?

"No, I meant if I follow your plan, will it make you happier? Haha..."

"Oh, that's what you meant. As long as you behave, do you think I'd treat family badly? Haha." Su Ming grinned, twirling the Godkiller before it shifted back into a curved blade and slid back into its sheath.

Deadpool breathed a sigh of relief and sped up his pace, making sure his feet were firmly on the ground. He kept his rear carefully guarded as they climbed, the cool air making his backside feel extra exposed.

Su Ming relaxed as well. Finally, the chatterbox was quiet for a bit. It seemed he'd discovered Deadpool's weak point—he likely had some traumatic memory with the Godkiller in the future, leaving a psychological scar.

Soon, the group descended to the bottom, where the roar of rushing water was deafening. London's drainage system was decent, at least allowing them some footing despite the weather.

They stood by what looked like an underground river, with water rushing past like a flood. It felt as if they were standing on a dam.

Rumor had it that in this era, people used the sewers as bomb shelters to hide from German air raids. Supposedly, there were also hospitals and food storage facilities hidden underground in London. Who knew if it was true?

"Monarch, which way do we go?" Su Ming asked, turning to the mage. In a place like this, they had to rely on his magical senses.

The Magic Prince closed his eyes, sensing the surroundings before pointing in a direction. Su Ming immediately sent Deadpool to lead the way while he covered the rear.
