Chapter 236: Ch.235 Lifting High

Su Ming is a warrior, not a scientist who studies the X-gene. If this guy can't be killed, then the solution is simple: don't bother trying to kill him.

Researching the nature of the phenomenon is a good idea, but if it doesn't work, there's no need to dwell on it.

"You grab his legs, and I'll grab his arms—let's flip him on his back!" Su Ming shouted to Wade, having figured out a plan.

This mutant certainly had a regeneration ability, but he relied on it far too much. He lacked any real combat skills, and his strength was no match for Deathstroke and Deadpool.

So, as long as they didn't destroy his body and just restrained him, what could he do?

Without hesitation, Deadpool dropped to the ground and grabbed the mutant by the ankles. As the mutant tried to slash at him, Su Ming dashed forward, grabbing the mutant's wrists from behind. Symbiote tendrils extended, securing the mutant tightly, making it impossible for him to struggle.

Together, they lifted the mutant into the air—executing a perfect double team overhead lift.

"What's next?" Deadpool asked, holding onto the legs, turning his head toward Su Ming. "Now that we've got him, do we send him to 10 Downing Street or Buckingham Palace?"

Boom! Splatter! Splash!

The mutant's stomach exploded again, instantly showering them in blood and guts. Before the explosion, the Cloak of Levitation had quickly escaped from Su Ming's shoulder, flying off to hover nearby.

Despite the explosion's force, which should have knocked them off balance, neither Su Ming nor Deadpool even flinched. They continued walking toward Horowitz and Monarch, holding the mutant aloft.

"His powers don't make sense, but neither do ours, right?" Su Ming said, motioning for Wade to keep moving. After all, they had a mage on their team.

Boom! Splatter! Splash!

Another downpour of blood rained over them. A piece of lung and liver stuck to Su Ming's head, which the symbiote quickly absorbed like a black towel wiping it clean, leaving his armor gleaming once more.

For a moment, Su Ming considered keeping the mutant as food for the symbiote—after all, it was a never-ending meal. Pets like cats and dogs were expensive to maintain, and keeping a symbiote was even more so.

But the thought quickly vanished. Su Ming realized it was likely the symbiote influencing him with that inhuman idea.

Mutants were already persecuted in this era. Lacking scientific understanding, people often viewed them as monsters, leaving them abandoned by their families and forced to hide in the shadows or turn to crime.

"I've heard in Brazil, they decorate floats with fireworks during carnival," Horowitz remarked, reloading his revolver and holstering it, making small talk to distract himself from the grotesque sight.

Monarch, observing the scene, was reminded of his old tribe centuries ago. After capturing their prey, they would carry it through the jungle like this before offering it up for a blood-soaked dark magic ritual.

It was just as bloody and terrifying. He never thought he'd witness such a similar scene hundreds of years later.

It left him cold, unable to respond to the doctor's casual question. After a long pause, he finally murmured, "I've been there."

"Oh? Nice scenery, I assume? Do you guys even use cameras?" Horowitz asked as Su Ming and Deadpool approached. Su Ming was still spotless, but Wade's neck was draped with intestines, and he had tripped multiple times over the tangled mess.

"We can extract memories and play them back like a movie. It requires a spell, but the images move, just like in film. Want to see?"

Monarch had recovered his composure. His tribe was long gone, but the battlefield had brought those memories back. Now, he smiled and offered to show the doctor his memories from Brazil, though it was from centuries ago, well before there were any carnivals.

"Uh... maybe later, when we're not knee-deep in this," Horowitz shrugged as a chunk of stomach landed on his shoe.

"No problem. I've traveled to many places. You can pick any spot. I could even take you there in an instant," Monarch offered. He didn't need a Sling Ring like those from Kamar-Taj; his magical staff could open portals with ease—common among British sorcerers.

As the gruesome parade approached, Su Ming called out, "Monarch! Open a portal to the South Pole!"

Without hesitation, Monarch tapped his staff in the air, casting a spell. His portal wasn't like the fiery circles of Kamar-Taj—it formed a rippling, eerie gateway, much like a dark vortex.

Through it, Su Ming glimpsed an icy wasteland, with howling winds and snow the size of peppercorns blowing across the frozen surface. It had worked.

The mutant, hearing Su Ming's command, struggled violently, but the symbiote held him tight.

"Wade, let go!"

With a shout, Su Ming and the symbiote together swung the mutant like a hammer throw, launching him into the portal. The mutant's terrified face grew distant as he skipped across the icy ground like a stone across water.

Su Ming watched without a flicker of emotion.

"Close the portal, Monarch. Let's move on to the next target."
