Chapter 342: Ch.341 Ambush

Batman knew he had been targeted. The moment he heard that laugh, he started considering who it belonged to.

In his memory, three people could laugh like that. One was Brainiac, but not long ago, he and his planet had been reduced to dust.

The second was Lex Luthor, but Luthor had seemingly turned over a new leaf, even stepping forward to protect Earth during the Omega Four Gods invasion.

Just then, Batman heard gunfire from outside the aircraft, the noise muffled like a drum by the cabin. His craft had been hit—someone else was piloting an aircraft and was tailing him at his six o'clock position.

Bruce wasn't Hal; his piloting skills weren't good enough to shake off an enemy and engage in dogfighting while being inside Superman's brain.

The enemy behind fired a precise burst that broke the wing of Bruce's craft.

Bruce smashed through the cockpit glass to escape, only to be swallowed by a giant mutated cell.

But he had figured it out—it was Luthor. Superman's old nemesis had once again chosen to stand against them.

At the same time, Su Ming and his group returned to the Hall of Justice.

The money Bruce had given Su Ming was currently stored there. There was no worry that the superheroes would steal his money.

In the command center, they saw Cyborg.

"Hey, Victor." Aquaman walked over and patted him on the shoulder. "How's Batman and the others?"

The half-mechanical Black man gave a bitter smile, shaking his head. His cybernetic eye glowed red. "I lost contact with them after they entered the Totality's barrier. I was planning to play a game of 'Madden Football' with the Mother Box, but now an unknown world is showing up in the universe. I don't know what it is."

He projected what the satellite saw onto the big screen as he spoke.

It looked as if a piece of black cloth had been lifted in the universe, revealing something beneath—an ominous, swirling galaxy of black and purple.

"Isn't that the Dark Multiverse?" Diana's gaze became grave, her hand instinctively touching her weapon, sweat coating the hilt of her sword.

Su Ming stared at the scene, removing his helmet and stroking his beard. "It isn't. It didn't exist before, or we didn't know it did."

Barry had already found a corner to sit in, pondering the Stasis Force.

Aquaman looked a bit lost, unable to understand what everyone was saying. But he didn't care—all he needed to know was where the enemies were.

These emotions were channeled through the unseen ring, creating powerful constructs.

"We all deserve destruction. Flesh and bone—frail and weak!"

He raised the Lantern Ring, ordering his constructs to attack, like commanding an army.

However...

"Bang!!!"

A massive black sword suddenly appeared behind him, slamming down on his head like a door. The immense force drove him into the ground.

The constructs vanished, and the purple uniform slowly reverted to green. John was unconscious.

"Interesting. Acting like you're made of steel? One ring made you this arrogant?"

Su Ming lazily put away his sword. John had even less sense than Hal. The Justice League had five members present, with Titans and other hero squads outside, plus a bunch of magicians in the cafeteria.

How did he think rushing in alone was a good idea?

If it weren't for the fact that everyone around him were his friends, Su Ming would have used the blade instead of the flat of his sword.

He was curious to know if this new Lantern uniform could withstand the power of X-metal.

Cyborg's arm slowly returned to its usual state. He had been about to fire earlier; when the Mother Box sensed danger, his body sometimes acted on its own.

"Is it over?" Diana ran back, looking a bit disheveled, her hair messy.

"Seems like it. He's back to green; he should be back to normal." Su Ming shrugged, indicating they could take the idiot away.

Cyborg hoisted John up and carried him towards the infirmary.

The fight had ended as quickly as it began, only causing some damage to the ceiling and floor, making the command room a bit messy. It hadn't even disturbed Barry, who was meditating in a corner.

"How's it going?" Su Ming approached Barry.

Barry let out a long sigh, smiling wryly. "I... I can't slow down."
