Chapter 410: Ch.409 Blown Away

Constantine, after being verbally and physically abused by Zatanna, pulled himself together. He had a plan—he remembered the purple light circle, a basic defensive spell.

It could not only resist external intrusions but also prevent anything inside from escaping.

And being a basic spell meant its principle wasn't complicated. As long as he increased the energy supply, its power would be proportionally enhanced.

All he needed was a little time to set it up. The only problem was, without demon blood as a power source, he needed something else.

If only he had some Bat-Gold. Alcohol wouldn't work as a magical energy source.

Perhaps it was his misfortune; he arrogantly lit a cigarette in the bushes.

In the darkness, the small glowing red dot in the garden seemed like a beacon for Diana in the sky.

She immediately flew over, ready to tear them to pieces.

Swamp Thing, helpless, had to carry them away. After being severely injured, he hadn't even had time to check the Amazon basin to see why the Parliament of Trees was screaming.

He had felt it but was utterly powerless.

This was what Constantine's group had gone through before Deathstroke's team arrived.

And now, Flash and Deathstroke had come to rescue these poor souls.

Barry left Su Ming on Diana's path, then disappeared somewhere.

According to the plan, he was supposed to seize Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth and use the golden rope to bind her.

However, Diana was holding the Lasso in her hand, making it impossible for Barry to take any weapon from her.

So Deathstroke had to engage her head-on, forcing her to pick up her sword and shield and hang the Lasso back on her belt, giving Barry a chance.

"Godkiller, shield."

To lure Diana into choosing a sword and shield duel, Su Ming needed a shield himself.

He would wave the bright golden shield around, flaunting its durability and usefulness in front of her.

I have a shield—strong and beautiful, and you can't hit me.

But the outcome differed slightly from what he expected. When Diana's sword clashed with his shield...

He instantly felt an immense force strike him. The Nth Metal bones in his left arm bore a tremendous impact, which transmitted through his entire body, and he was sent flying.

Stranglehold spread from his feet, trying to latch onto the ground to slow his momentum, while the anti-gravity cloak pushed against him.

Even so, he still flew over two hundred meters.

"What the..."

In mid-flight, he tried his best to adjust his posture, driving the Twilight Greatsword into the ground, carving a deep gouge in the earth.

It was the mountaintop after all—other than the small garden, the ground was solid rock.

He crashed through several walls, leaving man-shaped holes in countless buildings. Eventually, he slammed into the castle's sturdy stone wall, embedding himself deeply before coming to a stop.

His muscles and tendons hurt everywhere, and the skin on his back felt like it had torn open. He could feel the blood trickling down his body.

The metal bones could indeed withstand such force, but his flesh wasn't tough enough.

His regeneration ability kicked in, and Stranglehold began its own method of repairing its host.

Other symbiotes repaired their host like filling a cavity—using their own tissue to replace what was missing.

But Stranglehold was different from those gaudy imposters. Once a Kamar-Taj experiment, it accelerated the host's healing by stimulating cell division.

"Hey, hey, hey, you alright? You alright? You alright?"

Barry's head appeared at the hole. Right now, Su Ming looked like he'd been punched into a deep well, and Barry's voice echoed.

"Cough... I'm not dead yet. She's completely out of control—her divine power has no limits now."

Su Ming moved his arm, struggling out of the hole he'd made. The intense collision had left him seriously wounded, and now his regeneration was stirring a thirst for blood.

But he could still control himself—as long as the upcoming fight didn't result in excessive bleeding or loss of internal organs.

"Uh, should we call Superman?" Barry turned to look at the incoming Diana, placing a hand on Su Ming's shoulder to channel the Speed Force, and everything around them slowed down.

Su Ming shook his head, dismissing the idea.

"If Superman shows up, Hecate will likely use magic to control him. Let's stick to the original plan—I need to show some real skills."
