Chapter 46: Keep Kissing Until You Get Used to It
Filming during the day and going to the Taekwondo gym as a coach at night, Xue Lingqiao's life was no different from usual other than not heading home to Tian Jingzhi's house.
He has lived for five hundred years, and other than the time when he was still an ignorant child, he has never been so seriously angry with someone.
Ordinary people can only live for a few decades, and a hundred years is considered very lucky. The only bad thing he ever did was during the early Qing Dynasty, when a cunning corrupt official died, he dug up his grave and took away the calligraphy and paintings that accompanied him.
Xue Lingqiao sat on the gym lounge chair. Sitting beside him was a six-year-old child named Xiao Guai. He was drinking yogurt with Xue Lingqiao.
It was already 10:30 in the evening, and Xiao Guai stretched his head and kept looking out the door.
"Don't worry, your mother will pick you up as soon as she’s done with work."
The little guy nodded. Fortunately, not long after, the door of the Taekwondo gym was pushed open, and a beautiful young woman ran in. The little boy ran over with shinning eyes, "Mom!"
Xiao Guai's mother squatted down, hugged, and kissed her son. She looked at Xue Lingqiao apologetically: "I'm sorry, coach, I troubled you again to take care of Xiao Guai so late."
"It's alright, Xiao Guai is very obedient." Xue Lingqiao looked at the time, "I'll send you out."
Feng Dongdon had just arrived at the taekwondo gym, when he saw his Big Brother Qiao walking out of the gym. Feng Dongdong stuck his head out of the car window and was about to call him when he saw a little boy come out and hug Xue Lingqiao's leg, followed by a beautiful young woman. Xue Lingqiao is such a cool person. Whoever gets close to him will freeze to death. But this little boy was favored, and he was held up firmly by him. The child's mother walked beside him. From a distance, it looked like a family of three.
The three of them seemed to be saying goodbye. Xue Lingqiao returned the child to his mother, and she dawdled for a while before leaving. Seeing Xue Lingqiao sending the mother and son away, Feng Dongdong immediately got out of the car, slammed the door, and strode angrily towards Xue Lingqiao. While Xue Lingqiao was still staring at the direction where the mother and son disappeared, he shouted angrily : “Big Bro!"
Xue Lingqiao turned around and saw Feng Dongdong, a little puzzled.
"Why are you here?"
Feng Rongdong looked like he had caught an adulterer, and said aggressively: "Tell me, who was that woman just now?"
Xue Lingqiao was confused: "Why are you so angry?"
He still refused to admit it! Feng Dongdong glared at him: "Why do you think I'm angry? You already have me and Miss Tian, why are you still hooking up with other people?!"
What "you already have me and Miss Tian''? Xue Lingqiao felt goosebumps all over.
Feng Dongdong was furious: "Miss Tian may use crude language at times, but she is really worried about you, so she asked me to come and see where you are living at night. Big Brother is so nice to other women, is this worthy of Miss Tian? Also, apart from Miss Tian, only I know your true identity. Why is my big brother so nice to that little brat, is he worthy of me?"
Xue Lingqiao could understand Feng Dongdong’s thoughts and his reason for his anger, but he had no responsibility to cooperate.
He frowned slightly, raised his chin slightly, and said in a proud manner, "I really don't think I did anything to slight you guys. Are humans now unable to manage their own possessiveness?"
Feng Dongrong almost forgot that his Big Brother Qiao was an old monster without normal human emotions, but they have known each other for so long and established such a deep relationship, even if a stone can't bloom, it should be warm.
"That's right! It's like when my parents gave my beloved toys to our relatives' children when I was a kid. Because I really liked it, I cried and refused to share it. The things that one is willing to share are dispensable. That is a normal human being!"
Xue Lingqiao looked at the aggrieved Feng Dongdong who was looking at him with anticipating eyes. He knew what to say to make the innocent and enthusiastic child in front of him immediately happy, but... lies, even if they mean well, were meaningless.
Xue Lingqiao was silent for a while, and with a somewhat apologetic look, he said slowly: "But to me, you are no different from that mother and son."
The anger in Feng Dongdong's heart froze, and he seemed to be slapped fiercely. It turned out that he didn't even have the position to question him. Because they were no different, everything he had thought was just self-indulgent. The big brother in his mind looked at them no different from everything else in this world.
He was stunned for a while as if he had been beaten by an eggplant. Feng Dongdong didn't even have the courage to look up at him, but his tone was unprecedentedly serious: "It's fine if you tell me this, don't say it in front of Miss Tian… She is very slow, it’ll take her a whole day to feel the pain after being slapped. Also, how can you live in the gym? Brother, it’s better to go home. Miss Tian watches TV past midnight everyday and waits for you to come back... I'll pretend I never saw anything today."
After Feng Rongdong finished speaking, he turned and walked away. Xue Lingqiao looked at his lonely back and felt unspeakably uncomfortable. He wanted to call out to him, but he didn't know what to say, so he could only freeze in place.
Under the moonlight, Xue Lingqiao was walking slowly by the lake, and Shuisheng was at his feet, taking a stroll with him.
"I'll be staying with you again tonight." Xue Lingqiao explained to the big white turtle, "I'm not homeless... It's just that sometimes I need to keep a distance. I don't want to be treated as someone else's private property... But I was told she would only sleep very late at night...I don't know if it's true..."
Xue Lingqiao's did not know what to do. He wondered if he should be more generous. After all, she is only a fragile human being. Even if he was monopolized for a couple decades, it didn’t seem… to be a big deal.
