Chapter 72 - In bad terms

"Tyler went on a mission: I hope he never finds out about this. Sigh, as for the favor, I want you to go in my stead."

Wan Jia almost spat out her coffee. "You...what?"

"Wanwan, I cannot go. What if that guy likes me? I can only rely on your help to piss him off and make him give up on me." Yun Xuan knew one of Wan Jia's excellent special skills was being annoying. If she wanted to make someone pissed off, she would make sure the person was so angry that their heart burned like a furnace.

However, she had a boyfriend now. Wouldn't it be inappropriate to go out with another man? The reason wouldn't matter. "I'm sorry, I can't help you this time."

Yun Xuan looked dejected. "How could that be? I really don't want that guy to have hopes about me for nothing.

"Then why don't you just meet him and tell him you didn't willingly agree to the blind date and you have someone you like?"

Yun Xuan looked into space. "I just don't even want to meet him. From father's description, he should be hard to deal with."

Wan Jia remembered something and felt a chill down her spine. "Do you remember how I ended up with Lu Aotian?"

Of course Yun Xuan remembered. It was all because she pushed Wan jia right into the eye of the storm and refused to come back. In the end, probably because they had spent a lot of time together, she had fallen for Lu Aotian and was even reluctant to leave him.

"Wanwan, I promise, what happened before won't reenact. Furthermore, I just need you to annoy this guy and make him give up. If he doesn't give up after that one meeting then I'll deal with him myself."

Wan Jia was helpless. "But....what if Aotian found out? Wouldn't I be in trouble?"

"What trouble?" Her going out with another man shouldn't matter to Lu Aotian, right? Or so Yun Xuan thought.

Wan Jia looked straight at her "Aotian and I are together now. So it wouldn't be very nice of me to..."

"You...what did you say?" Yun Xuan was utterly shocked.

"Aotian and I are together? Oh, we've been together for two days now, I forgot to mention it."

Yun Xuan was happy and sad at the same time. "That's... explosive news. I am happy for the two of you.... But what will happen now?"

Before Tyler left, they had got into an argument. Just the same way Yun Xuan disliked Ruolin, Tyler also disliked all her family members. It would be acceptable if he only had something against her first and third brothers but she would never allow anyone to have negative thoughts about her parents and Yun Jifeng.

She respected her father to the end of the world and although they had argued once or twice about the substitution issue, she still loved him with all her heart.

As for her mother, that was the woman who adopted her. She had taken her in when she was at her lowest and on the verge of breaking down.

Twenty one years ago, on the day she had escaped from the traffic officer's home to look for her mother, she had seen Madam Yun from a distance and due to her short dark brown hair like her own mother's, she had mistaken her for her mother and ran after her.

Only when she was too close did she realize that not only was Madam Yun not her mother, she was too tired to continue running around and just burst into tears.

On that day, Madam Yun had asked her about her parents and helped her track her mother in vain. Since not even the police could help and wanted to send her to an orphanage, Madam Yun decided to adopt her instead. Yun Xuan had long held a lot of respect for this mother who saved her life and loved her.

Although they drifted apart due to Yun Xuan's closeness to Yun Jifeng, Yun Xuan still held nothing against her foster mother.

She could not stand Tyler calling her family a group of bad people. Especially when he called General Yun a two faced pretender...she had lost control and flared up on him.

"Hey! Daydreaming again?" Wan Jia waved her hand in front of Yun Xuan annoyingly. "I said why don't you explain to Tyler? Surely he can understand."

"Tyler doesn't like my family. What if he dislikes me along with them?"

Wan Jia laughed "My dear, you are twenty six, not six. When will you ever understand that a man who loves you won't care about your family? Will he marry you and spend the rest of his life with you, or will he marry General Yun and Madam Yun?"

"Of course the one he'll marry is me, but can we talk about that later? We're not really in the best terms possible for now. Can you help me come up with a way to handle this?" she pleaded.

Wan Jia racked her brain for practically a century. "When are you meeting him?"

"My parents decided on tonight." Yun Xuan answered.

"Tell your parents you cannot make it tonight and ask him out for lunch tomorrow."

"Huh? Why?"

"I have a dinner date with my sweetheart tonight and won't have time to help you." she said coyly.

"Okay, okay, no need to display your affection. You already have a plan?"

"A very interesting one. Just trust me and do as I say, okay?"
