When he saw the caller ID, Lu Aotian erupted like a volcano. "What's wrong with that Yun Xuan?! Always calling at the wrong time. I should come up with a permit for your phone calls. Everyone will only be allowed to call you once a day and you can only talk for two minutes."

Wan Jia laughed at how jealous he was just because of a mere call. "Honey, don't be like that. Does it matter how many times those unimportant people call? I belong to you after all."

The phrase 'those unimportant people' pacified Lu Aotian, so he let her be just this once.

"Wanwan, are you free on saturday?" Yun Xuan asked.

"I don't have much going on, is anything the matter?"

"Tyler and I are hosting our engagement dinner." although her father had taken the household register, Yun Xuan decided that she would wait for a chance to grab it back even if it took forever.

"Sure, I'll go." Wan Jia said, then she asked. "Can I bring Aotian along?" Who was she kidding? If she went to an engagement dinner alone, wouldn't she die from their displays of affection?

Naturally it was a simple request, Yun Xuan would grant it. However, she made a more complex one. "Can I also bring my new friend?"

Yun Xuan sounded regretful. "Wanwan, Tyler's real relationship can't leak out."

Too bad...she would have loved to go with Sis Lihua. She was not sure when it started but she felt like she really wanted to make Lin Lihua a permanent part of her life.

Before ending the call, she tried to convince Yun Xuan a little more.

"I'm back my love, did you miss me?" she asked as she bounced back to Lu Aotian. The man ended the call he was on and looked at her speechlessly. Indeed, even if she had just gone aside for a few seconds, he missed her.

"Xuan invited me to her place on saturday. Can we go?"

"Mmh."

Of course he wouldn't deny his beauty anything.

Yun Xuan ended the call and looked at Tyler. She was thinking, Wan Jia sounded sad when she rejected her friend. Although she was jealous that her best friend had a new friend she treasured, Wan Jia's friend would also be considered her friend.

"Wanwan wants to bring her new friend over." she said softly. It was best to ask for his permission since he was the one who wanted to be secretive.

"Is it not enough that we're having some sort of dinner party? Do you also have to call strangers?" Tyler's mood was quite foul.

She frowned. "Hey, I just asked. What's with the grumpy mood?" Was he on his period?

In the end, Yun Xuan insisted on inviting Lin Lihua too. In reality, she just did it to piss him off. She really hated how he acted when he was a bad mood. Did he always have to take it out on her?

Obviously, Tyler did not like it but decided it would be best not to argue about it further.

"Aotian, do you think I look too outstanding?" Wan Jia was a little nervous as she got out of the car. She had tried on every dress there was to try and all of them made her look too beautiful.

In fact, the simple dresses made her look even more refreshing and pretty. Gah! It would not be nice to steal the bride-to-be's limelight. But who told her to have such amazing looks?

Lu Aotian glanced at her black dress. She had chosen a dull color but the effect was that it made her look even fairier and slimmer.

"No." Of course his wife was beautiful. Was he supposed to hide her in a closet just because she was pretty? They were already lucky enough that he did not buy the most expensive dress in the world for her to wear.

"Little Wan!" Lin Lihua had arrived. Wan Jia had sent her the adress and she came just on time. Yun Xuan came up to them and invited them in before introducing them.

She held Tyler's arm. "This is my fiancée Tyler,"

Then she went ahead and introduced Yun Jifeng, Wan Jia, Lin Lihua and Lu Aotian. Her mother was not able to make it.

Ruolin was very angry with the way she was ignored.

Even while they were having their meal, Yun Xuan deliberately ignored her.

Ruolin was so angry that she would instantly kill Yun Xuan if someone gave her a dagger. She had deliberately worn a fiery red dress tonight hoping to steal the limelight but she ended up ignored by everyone! In fact, Yun Xuan was wearing the same color and she pulled it off better.

As the meal progressed, it was hard to notice but Yun Jifeng's eyes were glued onto Wan Jia. Lin Lihua who had her guard up against him obviously noticed it.

If Lin Lihua had noticed it, how could it escape Lu Aotian's eyes? He had in fact long seen through this man's motives.

His main reason for coming here tonight was actually to keep an eye on Yun Jifeng. He knew that guy was up to something unpleasant.
