Chapter 166 - What's with all these enemies?

The receptionist was not too friendly with her. "I'm sorry miss, our Designer Wan is very busy lately. You need an appointment to see her."

Yun Xuan almost lost it. "Wan Jia is my friend. Do you think she would be happy if you treated me this way? Forget about she and I being friends. Even if she did not know me? Do you know who I am?"

When the office phone rang again, she was desperately determined to throw it out the window.

"Hello, Designer Wan." It seemed to be an internal call. "There's a miss..." she paused as if to ask the other party for their name, "...Miss Yun Xuan here to see you."

Su Ling was happy with the assignment and went to get her.

Wan Jia remained a little dazed in the office. Although she really needed help, she could not trust Su Ling. What if she had come with ill intentions and stole from her again?

She could not help but wonder what happened to that little girl who approached her before and shyly offered to be her assistant. How nice it would be if she asked again!

"D-designer Wan." she greeted shyly.

Wan Jia could not help but be amused. She was clearly very friendly. Why was this little girl so scared?

She smiled and the little girl continued speaking. "Do...do you really not need an assistant? I can..."

"You are hired." Wan Jia interrupted her. She had already asked about this girl. She had been selected by the company but no one wanted to hire her because of her extreme timidity, so she probably decided to cling onto the friendly-looking Wan Jia. Since the company chose her, it should be okay.

Wan Jia's lips twitched. "You came all the way here to tell me this?"
