Chapter 243 - Weren't they each other's favourite sibling?

Name:My Beautiful Love Author:Avalorian_
Shen Yue gave something to Little Jia.

"What's this?" Little Jia asked.

"A tiramisu. It's for you." Shen Yue said with a smile.

"Thank you Little Yue, I love tiramisu." Shen Yue had told her parents about her new little friend too and had brought her a gift.

The little girls ate their exchanged gifts happily.

Shen Yue noticed a beautiful bracelet on Little Jia's wrist. "Lu Meili, your bracelet is very cute. Did your mommy buy it for you?"

Little Jia touched her bracelet. "My daddy gave it to me. If anything happens to me, I should give it to those uniformed people called police." It had Lu Aotian's contact number engraved in it. "Little Yue, you can call me Little Jia. It's my nickname."

"Little Jia? Like Wan Jia?" Shen Yue was surprised.

Little Jia was even more surprised. "You know Wan Jia?"

"Uh huh. That's my Mommy's favourite designer. She says that Wan Jia is still new but her designs are all very beautiful."

Little Jia smiled proudly. Her mommy was very famous. "Have you ever seen Wan Jia?"

"I haven't. But my mommy says that she is very beautiful. Just like a goddess."

Little Jia smiled even wider. Of course her mommy was a goddess.

Meanwhile,

Yun Jifeng rushed to his father's study room. "Father, I found out something very interesting."

"Speak."

"That woman has a daughter."

"What woman? Can you speak clearly?"

"Wan Jia."

"What did you say?"

"They enrolled her into Royal Kindergarten yesterday. Tsk, I didn't know Lu Aotian would be such a loser. Taking care of another man's daughter?"

General Yun looked at his son with wide eyes. "She is not Lu Aotian's daughter?"

Yun Jifeng sneered. "How can that be? She just turned three. Following the timeline, She was concieved when Wan Jia was overseas. There's no way she is Lu Aotian's child."

General Yun slammed his fist on the table. "Then why did you tell me about it? If she is not Lu Aotian's child, she's useless. I wouldn't gain anything even if I lay a finger on that little thing. If only she was that man's daughter..."

What they did not know was that, as a measure to protect Little Jia from all conflicts related to him, Lu Aotian had deliberately faked Little Jia's age.

For the past few days, he had noticed someone following him and deliberately let that person find out about Little Jia. In the end, they really fell into his trap of thinking that the little girl is Wan Jia's illegitimate daughter.

Aside from falling head first into Lu Aotian's trap, Yun Jifeng would never know just how careless they were this time. Yun Xuan was right outside the door. She had seen Yun Jifeng and followed him to talk about something but walked into this instead.

She continued evesdropping.

Yun Jifeng's voice filled the study room again. "The main point is this: that woman and your beloved daughter Xuanxuan were friends."

"What are you driving at?" General Yun probed.

Yun Jifeng's mouth twitched. "She never mentioned a word of it. That, and the fact that she's acting really weird lately. Father, your dear daugher may be going against us. Do you think she knows something?"

Yun Xuan who was outside almost gasped. Yun Jifeng's voice sounded scary. Wait, does he think she knows something? That means...there is something she shouldn't know?

Inside, General Yun glared at his son. "I don't care what you think but if you touch a single hair on my daughter's head...!"

Yun Jifeng laughed. "What are you worried about? She's my sister too, okay? I wouldn't hurt her."...yet. He had a strong feeling that there was more to Yun Xuan's current attitude than meets the eye.

Outside, Yun Xuan's face was pale. She walked away but stumbled a few steps ahead and it was too late to stop herself from yelling. It ended up as a muffled shout.

"What was that?" Yun Jifeng was startled. Then he saw the door. "I closed the door behind me when I came in. How come it's slightly open?"

He walked out and saw no one on the corridor. He lifted an eyebrow and walked ahead.

When she no longer heard any footstep, she slowly opened the door. At the most crucial moment, her eldest brother, Yun Shan, had pulled her into his room.

"He's gone. Thank you."

Yun Xuan couldn't help but laugh at herself. Previously she trusted Yun Jifeng more than she trusted herself. Since when did she trust her eldest brother?

"You're my sister. You don't have to thank me. Luckily I was here. What's happening between the both of you anyway? Why would you look so panicked that he will see you?" Weren't they each other's favourite sibling?

Yun Xuan bit her lip. "Can I not tell you?"

"You don't have to tell me." Yun Shan said. He had never cared about family matters anyway.
