Chapter 262 - Mommy, What's a husband?

Regardless, she wanted Wan Jia to go over and celebrate with her. However, Wan Jia had her own plans.

She was adamant about keeping her distance from Yun Xuan. Nothing good ever came out of that family. 

"Why are you sighing?" Lu Aotian was behind her. 

"It's nothing. Let's go." She held his hand and dragged him out of the door. 

The employees were once again blinded by their love when they saw the pair. As soon as they were out of the door. It was almost deliberate as Lu Aotian held her waist so closely to him that she almost couldn't walk properly. 

"President, you and Miss Wan Jia look very beautiful together. You are a perfect match." A certain man took advantage of the President's good mood to bravely give a compliment he had been meaning to give.

Lu Aotian was not angry. "Thanks. Your salary for this month will be doubled. But it's Mrs. Lu now, not Miss Wan Jia." 

"Eh?" 

Everyone gasped. 

What did they just hear? Mrs. Lu? 

They were married? 

No wonder...

The wine and triple bonus were not inexplicable.

Wait, that wasn't the main point. That male employee got his salary doubled just like that? Not only did he get a bottle of wine and a tripple monthly bonus, he also got a double salary now? Could they make it too if they complimented them?

At Royal Kindergarten. 

Wan Jia and Lu Aotian were very eye catching as they stood in front of their car waiting for their daughter. 

They were not wearing particularly bright clothes nor were they  at a conspicious place. It's just that, that pair of a smiling handsome man holding the hand of his beauty was so attractive. Everyone wanted to take a few more glances as soon as they saw them. 

"Mommy! Daddy!" An adorable little girl rushed over to them. 

Although her school uniform was still as tidy as it was when she left  the house in the morning, her hair was so messy that it was no different  from a chicken nest. It made one wonder whether she only played using her head.

"Baby, how was school?" Wan Jia asked as she picked her up. 

"Mommy, school was very fun. I made many friends today."

Well, children were the most forgiving creatures. Not long ago they were very scared of Little Jia and avoided but now, they had forgotten all about it. It was as though the matter had never happened to begin with. 

"Very good." 

After greeting her mother, she hugged her father too. "Handsome daddy!"

Lu Aotian was pleasantly stunned by the new form of adress. Was it because he was looking too handsome today? He happily hugged his daughter and brushed back her stray hair using his hands. 

At the side, Wan Jia was jealous. Why didn't anyone call her beautiful? 

Little Jia seemed to see her mother's expression and reached out. Since she was being held by Lu Aotian, she was able to reach Wan Jia's head and pat it. "Beautiful Mommy!" 

Lu Aotian laughed. 

Wan Jia was speechless.

When they got into the car, Little Jia shyly peered at her parents. 

"Mommy, Little Jia painted Mommy and Daddy today." She rummaged through her small school bag and fished out a painting. 

After seeing her chaotic artwork for a while, Wan Jia could now understand her painting better. 

She could make out a man, a woman and a little girl. However, the woman was holding something in her arms. 

"Baby, what's this?" She asked while pointing at the bundle in the woman's arms. 

Little Jia looked at it and blushed. "My little brother." 

Lu Aotian :"..."

Wan Jia :"..."

The chauffer :"..." 

Lu Aotian had an expression that said: our princess wants a baby brother very much. We should hurry up and give her one. (Or a few)

Wan Jia glared at him. 

"Baby, we are going to grandma's for dinner today." 

The little girl looked at her with her big bright eyes. "Grandma Rou?" 

Wan Jia was taken aback. "How did you know her name?" 

Little Jia answered naturally. "I heard Grandpa Zhou calling her." 

Wan Jia did not know what to say anymore. 

Lu Aotian looked like he was not shocked. His daughter was so attentive. "Princess, we forgot to tell you something else." 

She turned to her father curiously and tilted her little head. 

Lu Aotian chuckled at her little actions. "Your mother and I are now married." 

She furrowed her little brows and continued looking at him questioningly. She was not familiar with the term "marriage". All she knew was that her parents loved each other. 

Lu Aotian: "Eer..." 

Wan Jia chimed in. "It means that your daddy and I are husband and wife." She hoped she understood now because if she didn't... 

"Mommy, what's a husband?"

The couple did not know whether to laugh or cry.

The chauffer at the front almost laughed out loud. 

"Well..." she racked her brains. 

The little girl did not understand this term either. All she knew was that if her mommy was her daddy's wife, then she would stay with him forever. She thought about it curiously. "Does 'husband' have the same meaning as 'wife' but in men?" 

The description sounded rather weird but Wan Jia nodded. 

The little girl was elated. Mommy and Daddy will stay together forever!
