Chapter 303 - A show worth watching

[Sources disclose: the Lu family's heiress was hidden away because she is terminally sick.]

One of the media companies even went so far as to attach a picture of Little Jia in her adorable school uniform.

Wan Jia was in her office when she saw the headlines. She flipped the magazine and cursed. "Damn those doctors! How dare they?"

Lu Shaoting saw the news too and rushed to the office of the President. He thought it was just a lie someone had come up with but when he saw his brother's expression, he knew that it was definitely not a lie. But he still wanted to confirm it from his brother's own lips.

"It's true." Lu Aotian answered the question before it left his lips.

Lu Shaoting took a deep breath and took in the news. "What do we do about the news?"

"Pass it off as a misunderstanding."

Logically, it was a misunderstanding. A huge one at that.

However, he didn't have time to do that either.

A media group posted "the true story".

They explained that the story about Lu Meili being hidden away was just a false rumor.

At first, they seemed to be helping Lu Enterprises clear the lies.

However, the situation changed when they posted "the true story".

They claimed that Lu Meili was, in fact, not even a child of the Lu family. She was Wan Jia's illegitimate child and her biological father was unknown. Lu Aotian only accepted her and changed her surname to Lu because of his love for Wan Jia. Lu Meili's sickness was probably caused by bad luck from her mother.

As if it was not annoying enough, they even posted Su Ling's medical report and alongside were news of how neither Wan Jia nor Su Ling was able to give an heir to the Lu family.  

All they had done was highlighting the point that had been made earlier; Lu Enterprises had no heir. The downfall of the Multibillion company was probably about to commence.

Lu Aotian really wanted to kill someone when he saw the news. "Someone is behind these media companies."

Lu Shaoting didn't know what to do and could only tread carefully. If he made one careless move, his brother might detonate like a bomb.

Lu Aotian momentarily pretended his brother didn't exist and sat behind his desk with his laptop in front of him.

"Bro…what are you doing?"

"Finding out who is behind this." His expression was so scary that Lu Shaoting didn't utter any other word. He brought his laptop and sat on the huge sofa to help his brother.

Twenty minutes later, Lu Shaoting exclaimed. "Damn it! Just now I thought it would be the Yuns.

These Yans are too gutsy. Is it because we cancelled our collaboration with them?"

Lu Aotian snickered. "It's because they think the Yan family is unconquerable. Too bad, they have run out of luck."

"Father, what have you done?! If you break our relationship with the Lu family, how will I still become Shaoting's wife?"

When he finished speaking, he sent a message to the news reporter he had contacted. He didn't know that Lu Aotian had hacked that reporter's phone and had seen the message even before the reporter did.

Below the eye-catching headline, there was news of the second young miss of the Yan family being pregnant with Lu Shaoting's son. The annoying part was that although she was six months into her pregnancy and despite being engaged to her, Lu Shaoting had dumped her for his mistress, Su Ling.

Lu Aotian found it quite childish that the Yan family had time to report so many lies just to tarnish Lu Enterprises' reputation. Unfortunately, this childish move was really proving to work.

With his eyes glued to his laptop screen, Lu Aotian revealed an evil smile.

Old Yan, thank you. I initially had to wait until your grandchild is born before I destroy your little family but now I don't have to wait anymore.

Wait for your destruction.

He made a phone call and it was immediately answered by a male voice. "Hello."

"It's time."

"Huh? Boss…"

"Do it." Lu Aotian interrupted him.

He then leaned back in his chair and sipped on wine. The Yan family's destruction was a show worth watching.
