Chapter 326 - I'm tired of this protection

The next morning when Wan Jia went to Elite Fashion World, she was greeted by a very cheerful "Lai Shuangshuang". "Sister Wan, you are very early today." Following that was a generous round of compliments.

Wan Jia greeted her with her usual sweet smile.

"Sister Wan, I have another scarf today. Can you sign on it for me? My friends will be very jealous." 

Wan Jia found her really lively and adorable. She signed on the scarf and walked to her office. But she stopped on her second step and turned abruptly. 

"Lai Shuangshuang" was walking away happily. Strange...why did it feel like she saw her give a sigh of triumph just now?

Ever since the former designer surnamed Shen threatened her safety and because of her training, she had been very cautious and alert lately. She had a feeling this Lai Shuangshuang wasn't so simple.

Her image ran back into Wan Jia's mind. That careless way of dressing looked far-fetched.  Perhaps it was deliberate? Which designer would let their assistant dress that way without giving them some fashion tips?

Huge goggles that don't suit her face, plain looking clothes that are obviously too shabby, a hairstyle that obviously doesn't suit her... don't forget about the shoes…as the lady boss of Lu Enterprises and a designer, it pained her eyes.

She suddenly wanted to design uniforms for the assistants and make them part of the employee bonuses.

Putting her dress code and weird chatacter aside, Wan Jia hoped that girl wasn't here to cause trouble.

Wan Jia forgot about "Lai Shuangshuang" and started her work for the day.

Currently, she had been given a Lu Enterprises project by Lu Aotian. He had initially given it to Lu Shaoting but in the shareholders meeting, he gave it to her instead. She didn't know why her husband would make such a decision but she didn't ask. He wouldn't do anything unreasonable.

However, she was yet to start when Lu Aotian called her to meet him in his office. She could only put her things together and go to Lu Enterprises.

In Lu Aotian's office, three other men were present. They were all important heads in the company as well as decision makers. Although the final decision maker was Lu Aotian, he would discuss important matters with them.

Because she still had to go back to Elite Fashion World, Lu Aotian kept it brief. "You must have learnt the company rules, right? You know the rule about starting a subsidiary of Lu Enterprises."

Wan Jia nodded. Lu Aotian continued, "Every one who wants to start a subsidiary company must complete a test. I called you here to take yours."

Wan Jia felt nervous but she nodded. How hard could it be? She was ready for it.

"Your test is to take over Royaume Hotel. You will rename it, change its theme and make it the best hotel in the capital within six months. Don't worry, you won't have to manage it in future if you won't want to."

Wan Jia was stunned. Royaume Hotel? Forget about its bankruptcy. It wasn't anywhere near the top before it went bankrupt. How exactly would she make it the best? Not to mention the current best hotel was Lu Shaoting's Emerald Grand Hotel.

"Do you have any problem?"

"No. I will take it over."

"Good. I already helped you come up with a name- Platinum Grand Hotel."

Wan Jia looked at him with a raised eyebrow. Platinum Grand Hotel? Why did it have to sound like Lu Shaoting's?

When the task was given and the three men left, Wan Jia finally asked. "I'm supposed to compete with Shaoting?"

"Why not?"

"You already gave me his project and now you want me to be the owner of Shaoting's rival. Not only that, you suddenly made me a major share holder. Aotian, is there something you're not telling me?"

Lu Aotian didn't satisfy her curiosity. "Let's talk about it when the time is right. For now, just focus on taking over Royaume Hotel. Leave Shaoting's project to me."

Wan Jia sighed. "Do you have a fall out with Shaoting?"

Lu Aotian didn't answer her so she shrugged her shoulders and left. Lu Aotian listened as the sound of her footsteps disappeared. Sorry my love, I want to keep you safe this time so I can't tell you.

As soon as she left, Lu Shaoting came in looking upset. "Did you have to sacrifice Emerald Grand Hotel?"

Lu Aotian gave him a side glance "You expected me to sacrifice LSC?"

"It's indeed more convenient. Emerald Grand Hotel is my life."

"I know."

"Then why did you still…"

"It's exactly because you value it that I'm sacrificing it. Also, I'm not involved with it. Don't worry, it will not actually get destroyed."

Lu Shaoting didn't look like he believed his brother. "The first step is merely to create a duplicate of Emerald Grand Hotel. What's the next step?"

"Don't worry about that."

"Don't worry? I'm freaking worried! For how long are you going to do such mysterious things without telling me what you're actually planning? Are we still brothers?"

Lu Aotian laughed at his last phrase. "I'm only doing this in secret to protect you. Don't you trust your elder brother anymore?"

Lu Shaoting stood up. "You know what? I'm tired of this protection!"

Lu Aotian smiled as he saw his angry brother leaving. Do you really think Wanwan can topple Emerald Grand Hotel? It won't reach that point.
