Chapter 343 - How arrogant!

There was a group of adults and five children.

The adults were supposed to be the Lu Couples, the Xu couple, Henry Blanc and Lin Lihua. The children were Little Jia, Tangtang, Katy and Small Xixi on a walker. The fifth child was Wan Jia's signature bundle from Wan Jia's arms. It was Little Jia's long awaited brother.

The little girl had wished to have a brother for so long. Sometimes she would even dream of a cute and adorable toddler version of Lu Aotian waddling around her and clumsily calling her "Sister."

Obviously, Little Jia's painting was only as clear as a four-year-old's could be. She only understood it based on the colors and logic.

Wan Jia's phone rang. She looked at it and frowned. Why was Lin Zhou calling her?

That was right. Lin Zhou really called her.

Wan Jia did not hate Lin Zhou, but neither did she particularly like him. They had never had a topic in common and she could tell that the man didn't actually like her either. It was a surprise that he called.

"Hello, dad."

Lin Zhou didn't sound too happy. "Wan Jia, are you and Little Jia doing well?"

"Yes, is there something?"

As she expected, he needed something from her. "Daddy wishes you to do the family company a favor."

"I'm listening."

"Wan Jia, we are going bankrupt. Can you ask your husband for help?" His tone was rather commanding.

Wan Jia wasn't too pleased but agreed for her mother's and sister's sake. "I'll try, but Aotian is very busy lately. I can't guarantee that he will be able to help."

"What do you mean you can't guarantee? He is my son-in-law."

Wan Jia was repulsed by his words. Was that how people asked for favors? How arrogant! If she didn't know any better, she would think he had accidentally eaten part of General Yun's soul!

Whatever! She had a dinner to attend tonight. She hung up and left him filling in the blanks himself.

After helping little Jia out and playing with her for a while, the both of them dressed up. The dinner was being held at Southside Villas, Villa number 2 so they didn't need to rush.

At dusk, Lu Aotian, his wife and daughter went to Villa number 2's garden. Xu Liaowen and Lu Shaoting were there too with Kara and Su Ling.

Since he didn't have many friends in Country C, Henry Blanc had only invited the 'breathtaking group of matchmakers'. This time their kids had tagged along except Small Xixi. The Lin residence was the farthest so Lin Lihua was last to arrive.

When Little Jia saw the musical instruments at the far side of the garden, she got excited and looked at Henry Blanc. "Uncle Henry, can I sing?"

"Go ahead."

The little girl grabbed Tangtang's hand.

"Where are you taking me?" Tangtang pouted.

"Remember that song we sang yesterday? The one from "My vow" that sounded very beautiful? Let's sing it."

Tangtang liked the song too. It was a love song that they obviously only liked the sound of and didn't understand the meaning of such romantic lyrics. Little did they know just how accurate they were to a certain pair of people.

Tangtang took a microphone and sang,

Little Jia joined in the chorus,

Little Jia sang

Tangtang sang

I love you, you are my queen

Little Jia sang the next part

That tell my sentiments for you

My hope, my future

I love you, only you and no one else 

Wherever you are my heart lies right there

To the end of time 

They both sang the chorus

Little Jia sang

Tangtang sang, I love you, you are my queen. 

By the time the song was over, Lin Lihua was all smiles. That was her favorite song. 

It was the theme song of her fans' best romance drama and hers too. The most important thing was that this song was written by her. 

She took Little Jia in her arms and hugged her. "My baby, you are too talented for a four year old. You almost sang better than me! Tangtang is really good too. Do the both of you perhaps want ot be artists in future? Aunty will recruit you as soon as you want." Though she wondered, why were kids singing an adult song? Luckily that romance drama had been aired in summer and was not child-unfriendly. If not, she would blame herself for being bad influence to children.

Before the kids replied, Henry Blanc suddenly appeared before her, making Little Jia cough and scurry away.

Henry Blanc had a smile of his face as usual. The kids had just sung this song for the sake of singing but the lyrics really brought warmth to his heart. Those were his exact thoughts. He faced her and took her hand in his. "Lihua..." 

Lin Lihua looked at him blankly. 

It was not sure who did it but someone played the original song "my vow" by Lin Lihua. She sounded so lovestruck as she sang the line, "Your future, I want it to be mine too." 

With Lin Lihua's sweet voice singing off loving lyrics in the backgrond, Henry Blanc spoke. "We may not have known each other for a very long time, but I'm certain about one thing. There's only one thing I want and that is to be with you forever." 

Lin Lihua felt fireworks explode in her brain. Was he proposing?! 

Henry Blanc: "The creator created woman to be a companion to man, and I am certain that you are mine." 

To confirm her suspicion, he went down on one knee and opened a little brocade box. An exquisite diamond ring entered her view. "Lin Lihua, will you accompany me for the rest of my life? Will you let us chase our dreams and happiness together?  Lin Lihua, will you marry me?"
