The Lu brothers took the next flight back to Country C.
When they arrived, one of Lu Aotian's bodyguards picked them up. However, Lu Aotian had him take a cab back home then took the driver's seat himself.
"Where are we going?" Lu Shaoting asked when he saw that they were not going to Southside.
"Wanwan is still in the Lin residence."
Due to the chaos related to Lu Enterprises and the fact that everyone was looking for Wan Jia, he had asked her to remain in the Lin residence and wait for him.
Just a few minutes after the initial news broke out, more news was uploaded. It explained the incident of how Wan Jia bullied an elder and pushed him to a dead end.
In fact, even the media outlets owned by Lu Enterprises were starting to report news against their main company.
Lu Shaoting was stunned at how fast people's hearts changed. Weren't they afraid that if this incident was a lie, Lu Aotian would make their lives hell?
What was this 'fighting for justice' nonsense all about?
After picking up Wan Jia, he wanted to drop Lu Shaoting off at the Lu residence and pick Little Jia up on his way to Southside.
While everyone was lost in thought, a girl suddenly appeared up ahead and ran to the road just a few meters ahead of the car, waving her hands as a call for help.
Her clothes were tattered beyond recognition. There was barely any decent piece left. On one foot was a slipper, the other foot was bare. Because she had run for a long distance, her feet were swollen and bruised. They were even bleeding.
The car screeched to a halt.
"Get in." Lu Aotian said, unlocking the back door at the same time.
The girl literally jumped in and Lu Aotian drove off, leaving behind a gang of angry kidnappers. "Thank you, President Lu."
"Your grandfather is a partner of Lu Enterprises. You don't have to thank me."
Lu Shaoting who was in the backseat took off his coat and put it on her shoulders.
Although she was embarassed and wanted to reject it, her clothes looked too humiliating at this point. She could only hug Lu Shaoting's coat closely and thank him.
Wan Jia finally understood what was happening. "She is Shishi?"
The young girl nodded her head. "Madam Lu, I'm sorry for troubling you."
"It's no trouble." To avoid making her feel more humiliated, Wan Jia didn't ask too much.
"Are we going to check her into a hotel? Her home is probably not safe for now." Lu Shaoting asked.
Wan Jia didn't think it was the best idea. "A hotel room wouldn't be too safe. What if someone waited for us to leave and attacked her again?" She looked at Lu Aotian who was driving. "Aotian, can we take her to Southside for tonight? We can think of a permanent solution later."
Since his wife's suggestion wasn't bad, Lu Aotian agreed.

When they arrived at Southside Villa after picking Little Jia, Lu Aotian took Little Jia into the house first.
This was to prevent the little girl from noticing Shishi's disheveled clothes and asking questions. After all, wearing a man's coat would make the little girl more curious. She had only been told that this elder Sister's name was Shishi. Nothing more.
When Little Jia was in her room, Wan Jia finally got off with Shishi.
She prepared a room for her and had the family doctor check on her wounds.
After cleaning up, Shishi changed into a set of clothes that Wan Jia had prepared for her. Wan Jia even brought her ginger soup.
"Thank you Madam Lu. You don't have to do so much for me; It's already enough trouble that I'm staying in your home."
Wan Jia sat on the bed next to her. "It's no trouble at all. It's a good thing that you're alive." Since she was alive, it was evident that she was not pushed to suicide by Lu Enterprises. Her grandfather was probably somewhere alive, too.
Knowing what Wan Jia was most curious about, she narrated, "I know where grandpa must be. I guess he can't communicate with anyone for fear of being found out. I'll take you to that place."
Although it was just a guess and Shishi hadn't actually seen him, Wan Jia was half relived.
"I'm so sorry. My family caused you so much trouble that..."
Wan Jia held her little cold hands in hers. "It's okay, don't think about that. Tell me, do you remember what those kidnappers looked like? Did they...did they bully you?"
Shishi suddenly broke down in tears.
Wan Jia's heart broke. She had probably been bullied. For her clothes to be as horrendous as they looked, she must have been treated unjustly. She just hoped that they didn't...
Even if they didn't, she would still make them pay. Such an incident must have caused a huge shadow over the life of the little nineteen year old girl. Would it affect her all her life?
She held the little girl's arms and hugged her, letting her cry on her own shoulders. "There there. We'll definitely not let them off."
"Luckily...luckily you guys appeared on time. I would be long dead." She sniffled.
After crying for a while, Shishi had let out her sadness, so she narrated everything to Wan Jia. Trying to be of help, she made it detailed so Wan Jia could get all the important information there was.
"They didn't mind me overhearing anything because they were planning to kill me. From their conversations, they wanted to silence grandpa to rid the evidence but he hid away so they couldn't find him. Actually, I saw their boss once. Is there someone who knows how to draw? I can describe him."
