Chapter 417 - Ladies' treat

One week later, Wan Jia had just completed opening her first three stores and managed to stock them.

"Why are the guys not here tonight; where are your husbands?" Kara asked when she realized that only the ladies were present, and no one was saying anything about waiting for anyone.

"Shaoting is attending a banquet with overseas partners tonight." Su Ling said. 

Lin Lihua:"Henry is one of those partners." 

"Aotian attended it too and so did Mr. Xu, although he is not an overseas partner. Tonight, I wanted it to be just ladies." Wan Jia explained. 

Kara felt it made sense. Xu Laiowen had indeed mentioned a banquet.

"Are you heartbroken? Did your husband cheat on you?" Kara jested. 

Wan Jia shot her an icy glare. "You are heartbroken. Your husband cheated on you. Seriously, can't I go out with my girls if the reason is not related to that?" 

In the past few months, Wan Jia had grown quite close to Kara and such a weird joke wasn't awkward between the two of them. 

Lin Lihua also teased. "Then what is it? Is your bedroom life so boring that you want elder sister to teach you a few tricks?" 

Wan Jia: "Jeez!" 

Su Ling: "President Lu doesn't look like he would have such problems. Are you perhaps going to tell us some good news, like you are pregnant and want us to help you come up with names?" 

Wan Jia held her head in her hands. "You girls are impossible! Who is pregnant?" In fact, she wished she was, okay? But her period kept coming on time. If Qian Li hadn't said that she would most likely get pregnant within the first five months, she would start thinking that he had been a fraud. There was still two months until then.

"How is this a plot? Can you not sound like President Lu?"  Kara was speechless. 

Wan Jia didn't spare her another glance. "You should try the shrimp. This restaurant's meals are more simple than what you are accustomed to, but they are vey delicious." 

Following her lead, Everyone took shrimp to try. 

However, as soon as Su Ling felt it's taste on her tongue, her brows involuntarily furrowed. 

"You don't like the taste?" Lin Lihua was surprised. She liked it very much herself. 

"I don't like sea food that much." She said. 

However, although that was the case, she didn't dislike it that much either. Just now, her stomach even churned. 

"That's okay. You can try other dishes. There's still broccoli cheese rice." Kara recommended the dishes she had tasted.
