Chapter 437 - Not good with kids

She did not know that General Yun was still unsettled. What if she only agreed to distract someone because she did not know who it was going to be? 

Anyhow, it was better to not tell her about it for now. She would know when it was already time.

If he told her when it was already too late for her to refuse, the result would be better. 

Of course, Yun Xuan knew. She could predict this sly person's moves like he was a robot created by a system. Everything Lu Aotian had told her so far had gone at least 90% similar to his predictions.

She was so used to his cute mannerisms and tantrums when he was being temperamental that in his absence, she felt lonely.

In the Lin residence, the little boy who was being missed by his mother was flailing his tiny arms and legs happily in Xia Rou's arms. He giggled once in a while and left drool on Xia Rou's clothes. She did not mind it at all.

Anyone watching would not know that he was not related to Xia Rou. They looked like close friends or even relatives.

In the new environment, his blue eyes that were quite similar to his mother's kept looking around. He looked as obedient as a little kitten and did not cry even once. As long as he was in Xia Rou's arms, he would only blabber and smile with that tiny mouth devoid of teeth.

"How is he so obedient to you? Jeez! That tiny boy threw a tantrum like a little devil when I got close to him!" Lin Lihua exclaimed, not understanding the little boy's tastes. She was even starting to wonder if it was because the Yun Xuan right now still resembled Wan Jia quite a bit and as a result, Xia Rou as well. Could it be that in his tiny brain, he had already recognized his mother's face and so he thought that Xia Rou was his aunt or grandmother because she and his own mother looked alike?

Xia Rou tickled his stomach a little, to which he laughed and grabbed onto her clothes. She was all smiles as she looked at her daughter. "How many children do you think I have taken care of? Of course I'd be more experienced than you. Not to mention, I'm naturally good with children." 

Lin Lihua could not retaliate. Aside from Little Jia who practically loved everyone who was kind at heart, was there any other child on earth who liked her? 

Forget about liking her. They wouldn't even get close to her. It made one speechless. Didn't children get drawn to beautiful people and wasn't she dashingly beautiful? 

She wondered how she would take care of her own children. 

Lin Lihua checked the time. "It's time to go. Any later and I will be late for the banquet." 

"Go ahead. Don't disappoint me." 

"I will not, mom." 

Lin Zhou was going too. Xia Rou was taking care of Yun Feng and because she understood that this baby's existence was a secret, she was not going. She did not want to leave him in the care of servants either. He was just too loveable. 

Lin Lihua went to hug her mother before leaving. Alas, the little boy looked like he was going to throw a fit if she actually hugged her. It was as though he was possessing Xia Rou, not letting anyone get near her.

"Just great. Now I can't even hug my own mother anymore. Fine, you can keep her. I'll be on my way now." 

He broke into a toothless smile as soon as Lin Lihua retreated. 

Lin Zhou wasn't surprised. That little boy had rejected him too. 

He left with his daughter in tow.
