Chapter 441 - The last chance

Katy looked at her uncle, waiting to hear what he would say. Even if this aunty that was marrying her Uncle Henry was actually bad, she would not hurt her because Uncle Henry would protect her. 

While waiting for her uncle's instructions, she also stole a glance at Lin Lihua, who looked as harmless as ever. Her little brows tightly knitted.

Lin Lihua's gaze was stern. She hated people who did not have a conscience. Even more, she hated double faced people. If this woman was not an elder and Henry Blanc's mother, she would not be this polite while speaking to her. This was considered her limit of politeness in this situation.

Everyone was angry with Mrs. Blanc. How could anyone say such things? Did she have no shame as an elder?

Lu Aotian had had enough of this family drama. What did they take Lu Enterprises for? Their battle field? Why couldn't they take their little drama outside Lu Enterprises? Everyone froze, making Lu Aotian even more intimidating as he descended the staircase and walked to Mrs. Blanc.

Henry Blanc knew that it was not going to end well. He quickly spoke to interrupt him. "Could you give me face and let me handle my family?"

Lu Aotian didn't glance at him again. "You owe Lu Enterprises a banquet." He was only giving him face because they were on closer terms than most friends. If not, it was not guaranteed that he would not have exposed Amy's crime and humiliated the Blanc family in public.

Who would have expected Lu Aotian to care about his sister-in-law?

It was nothing to be shocked of, however. Anything that was important to Wan Jia was important to him too. He gave Henry Blanc a stern glare; he was giving the Blanc family a final chance.

Henry Blanc apologized on behalf of his mother and sister, promised another banquet and dragged his mother out.

He was relieved. If Lu Aotian ended the collaboration between Lu Enterprises and Le Blanc Group, it would be a lose-lose situation. They would become enemies in business as well as personally. The projects they had collaborated on were so many that ending it would drag both companies down. Who wanted such an ending?

Everyone was initially angry because such an elegant family would embarrass themselves and cause chaos, but Henry Blanc had handled it so well that it could easily be mistaken as a drama that was meant to be part of the banquet.

Rich families could be quite chaotic sometimes. Everyone was used to it.

"Any more trouble from you and I'll make sure Amy is given a double or even triple sentence." Henry Blanc said as soon as they were alone. He was utterly disappointed. Forget about causing a ruckus to try and save a criminal who seriously needed to be punished. Why was she implicating innocent people? Had she gone mad?

After that strange interlude, the banquet continued as though nothing had happened.

However, this was not meant to be a happy banquet from the start. There was a pair of evil people lurking.

A beautiful woman with a head of blonde hair sauntered in, obviously late. In her silver gown and delicate make up, she attracted everyone's attention.

Lu Shaoting saw her from the top floor and smirked, then exchanged a look with his brother who was a distance away.

Yun Xuan went ahead to greet the hosts as though she was proud of being late. Of course, it was part of the plan.

In the slight commotion that Yun Xuan caused with her arrival, an evil pair of father and son slipped into the hall too.
