Chapter 454 - Dating scoundrel after scoundrel

Immediately after saying that out, Lin Ye felt a chill run down his spine. Did he just ask his boss to help him find information about a woman? 

Wait, that wasn't exact. 

Did he just ask his boss about the whereabouts of his former boss that he liked? And that, by making perfect designs to suck up to her? He did not intend to make it seem that way, but it seemed like a bribe.

He was about to retract his statement when Wan Jia interrupted him. "I would be lying if I said that you shouldn't have done all this. You should put all your heart in it more. However, I cannot guarantee that Yun Xuan would be happy if I gave you information about her." 

Lin Ye knew this, but the answer still disappointed him. He looked like all his life had been sucked out of him. "Then could you only tell me one thing?" 

"What?" 

"Is she..." Lin Ye paused, afraid that the answer to this question might shatter his newly found hope. "Is she marred?" 

Wan Jia rolled a pen thinking deeply. Was Yun Xuan married? 

It sounded like a lie to say this, but she didn't know. All she knew was that Yun Xuan had a son, but she was not together with Tyler. 

She knew this because many months ago, she had bumped into a little boy who mistook her for someone. She had learnt later that the little boy was Tyler's son and he had mistaken her for his step mother, Yun Xuan. If not for that incident, she would never have known that he and Yun Xuan had broken up. The little baby she had was logically Tyler's. Since she did not let his father take care of him and let him stay in the Lin residence temporarily, they were probably in bad terms. However, she could not be so sure that they were divorced.

Well, she couldn't tell Lin Ye something she was not sure about. What if they were merely temporarily separated and would one day be together again? 

She did not want to be one of the reasons for a broken marriage, or for Lin Ye's broken heart. She could only say what she knew. "No one ever mentioned a divorce." 

Lin Ye secretly clenched his fists, his heart being torn apart. Not mentioning a divorce meant that she was married. He could only give up. 

Actually, he had already given up. That was until he saw her recently, in a baby clothes store. She had a baby with her, who seemed to be her own. 

He saw that there was no man by her side and thought that she must be alone. Perhaps she and the baby's father had broken up. Even if she had a son whose father had left her, he would not mind. He would treat the boy as his own. He had even pictured himself as the little boy's father. That was why his heart had been filled with hope again...

"Beautiful master, please eat your lunch." Came the usual reminder from Seventeen, who had rolled out of God knows where and stood in front of her.

It had slipped Wan Jia's mind that there was a robot assistant in her office and it startled her slightly. 

"Oh! Seventeen, I forgot you are here. I'll go to have lunch now." She had actually intended to go on her own. Seventeen reminded her just at the right time.

Although that was what she said and thought, she took a new file of designs to start checking.

"Beautiful master..." 

Wan Jia pressed a button to shut it up. "I'm ordering take out."

If the robot had feelings, it would have felt wronged. That was not what it was going to report, okay? Why was its beautiful master so mean? 

A few seconds later, the door opened. 

The robot spoke up simultaneously. "My dear lovely master's Handsome husband, please come in." 

Lu Aotian walked in with a food bag in his hand and a charming smile on his face. He patted the robot like it was a pet. "Good boy."
