Chapter 527 - Can you not hate me?

Lu Aotian was struck by her words. It was true that he had been trying his best to resist the urge to snap the neck right out of Ruoxi's head. However, his daughter had insisted that she was able to take good care of herself and that she would never need his help. He was still adamant about wanting to prove her wrong. How capable could she possibly be?

"I'll go to sleep now. Think about what I said." She said after starting a storm in his heart. 

"Can you not make it sound like we don't sleep together?" 

Wan Jia felt embarassed. "You are already so old. Can you mind your tongue a little?" 

Lu Aotian shamelessly kissed her neck. "So what if I'm old? I will be as shameless as I want with you." 

"Get lost. We're an old couple already." 

Lu Aotian continued placing soft kisses on her neck. "Who said we're old? Who dares to say so? Do you think there is anyone who would think I'm lying if I said my wife is twenty five years old?" 

Wan Jia punched his shoulder. "You idiot. Let me off tonight, okay? I'm very tired from preparing for MAX's fashion show." 

Lu Aotian thought about how busy she had been for the past few days and let her off. He placed a sweet kiss on her lips lightly. "Just this once." 

Wan Jia was even more embrassed. This man really had no shame.

As soon as Lu Meili got to her room, she forgot about her father and gave Katy Blanc a call. 

"Sis Katy, can we meet up tomorrow and talk?"  

Katy was about to fall asleep and did not expect to recieve a call from Lu Meili. Especially not after the girl ignored her and walked off tonight. 

Caught off guard, she stammered. "I... well... I ... have something to do tomorrow. Maybe another time?" 

Lu Meili felt all her hope fade off in an instant. Even her voice sounded sad and lone. "Sis Katy, are you so mad at me that you wouldn't want to talk to me? The truth is, I found out the truth and it made me ashamed of my actions earlier. I'm really sorry for being rude to you. Can you forgive me? Can you... can you not hate me?" 

Katy Blanc fent her heart melt. In that instant, it was as though they had returned to their childhood. Back then, Lu Meili was so cute that no matter what she did, she simply had to blink her big bright eyes to earn everyone's forgiveness. Her sincerity when admitting her faults and apologizing could win back even the hardest of hearts. At that moment, she could practically picture Lu Meili's expression while she spoke.

She didn't even know the right words to say. "Oh Meili, I have never been mad at you. You have always been like a little sister to me, as well as one of my most important friends. In actual fact, I was scared that we would fall apart for good." 

Lu Meili felt as though she had been relieved of a death sentence. "Really? You don't hate me?" 

Katy Blanc found her too cute. She could be innocent like a little child sometimes. "I really don't hate you. In fact, I still love you very much. Meili, I really have a lot going on tomorrow. You know, it's the day I officially start working in Le Blanc Group. I will only have time in the evening. How about go out for dinner together?" 

Lu Meili didn't want to rush their meeting. She had wanted to meet up with Katy Blanc so she could apologize for her rude behaviour. Now that she had anready apologized and was in fact forgiven so fast, she shouldn't make Katy sacrifice so much for her. What mattered the most was the fact that Katy Blanc had forgiven her. "Sis Katy, you don't have to put so much pressure on yourself. Tomorrow will be such an important day for you and you will be very tired. We should meet on another day." 

Katy knew this as well, but she didn't want to miss out on an opportunity to meet the only member of the Lin family who still wanted to speak to her. "Don't wory about it. Meeting with you after a tiring day will be quite refreshing." 

Lu Meili was happy. "Alright. I'll send the venue."

Katy Blanc hung up with a smile across her lips. She felt as though a burden had been lifted off her shoulders. 

When she was young, her childish extreme fear of Lin Lihua had made her miss out on many things. Because that fear developed into dislike over time and it became pretty obvious. Although she neither tried to bully Lin Lihua nor acted rudely towards her, it was not hard to tell that she deliberately avoided her like a plague.

Of course, if she didn't like Lin Lihua, there was no way she would like her family. Just like that, Wan Jia as well as Xia Rou and Lin Zhou all disliked her. 

It was only Lu Meili who still insisted on playing with her regardless. Actually, it was also Lu Meili who had made her realize just what a kind woman Lin Lihua was. Alas, that was only two years ago, when it was already too late to repent. Lin Lihua would never like her. It had all faded along with the years. 

"Never mind. I will make sure aunty likes me again, and although there's only two months left, I will make her make up with daddy and not go ahead with the divorce. It's such a pity if such a couple were to be separated..." she mumbled audibly.
