Chapter 530 - Did she find her life too long and boring?

She had not thought that Ruoxi would try to pressure her into drinking the soup. On another note, it made her sure that there was indeed something wrong with it. 

"Sis Ruoxi, how about to help me check if it's gotten cooler?" She said with an innocent smile after some time. 

Ruoxi stammered. "It... it should be alright now. I wouldn't let anything scald you, now would I?" 

Lu Meili looked past her innocently. Not only would you let it scald me, you would poison me as well and blame it on Sis Katy. 

"Then can you give it a taste?" 

As expected, Ruoxi looked like she had been struck by thunder. It only confirmed Lu Meili's guess. She had a motive for coming to Villa number four, and it was not something good. 

Though she admired her guts. How brave was she to be able to do such a thing to Lu Aotian's daughter and in Lu Aotian's house? Did she find her life too long and boring? 

Ruoxi knew that if she refused to drink this soup right now, Lu Meili would realize that there was something wrong with it. She had come too far. She couldn't let anyone find out anything negative about her. 

What she had put into the soup was a slow working poison. She knew already that Lu Meili would have dinner with Katy tonight. 

Knowing that they would denifinitely not turn each other down, she found a way to frame Katy. 

Counting the hours, the poison would start reacting tonight. If she got poisoned after having a meal with Katy Blanc, who would the blame befall? 

The plan had gone this far. Was it going to be ruined in the last minute? 

She looked at Lu Meili. The girl was looking at her with her innocent eyes in anticipation, as though actually waiting for her answer. 

She took the bowl in both hands and squeezed her eyes shut, bringing it to her lips. She would find the antidote within a few hours. If she couldn't find it then... what was she thinking? Neil would do anything for her. He would obviously find it for her.

"Pfft..." Lu Meili burst into laughter. She didn't actually want to hurt Ruoxi. It was not yet time for that. 

"Sis Ruoxi, I know you don't like any soup, but do you have to look like a lamb awaiting slaughter? Let it be." 

Ruoxi heaved a sigh of relief secretly. She wouldn't have to risk her life after all. 

"I think I heard my mother calling me." Lu Meili said and disappeared up the stairs in a flash. 

Wan Jia was indeed calling her and she glared at her. "You already know what kind of person she is by now. What are you doing, risking your life like that?" 

Lu Meili laughed. "Mom, you worry too much. Of course I wouldn't eat or drink anything that she gives me." 

"You better not. I'll send her out of here. I don't know what the hell your father is up to by letting ungrateful dogs that bite their master into this house. What's even worse, she had the courage to bully my baby.

It's a shame to all dogs to even call her a dog. Is Lu Aotian crazy?" 

Lu Meili remained silent. She was not the person who hated Ruoxi the most. Everyone knew that Lu Meili was the person Wan Jia loved the most on earth. 

It had nothing to do with preference, perhaps it was because among the three children, Lu Meili had spent the most amount of time with her. Besides, they were almost identical to each other. How could they not be each other's favorite? 

Of course, Wan Jia treated all three of her children equally. It was just that she had an extra soft spot for her Little Li. 

Yet, an unthankful idiot had the audacity to bully this Little Li, and even tried to poison her? 

"I'm going to sue her. I will use all my influence and that of the Lu and Lin families to make sure she rots in prison forever." 

Lu Meili held her back when she saw that Wan Jia was really going downstairs angrily. "Mom, wait." 

"What is it? You're not going to tell me to let off that fool, are you? If you are, I will not listen to a word you say." 

Lu Meili laughed, but she felt warm in her heart. Her mother loved her too much. "Mom, I'm not asking you to let her off. In fact, I also want to see her in prison as well as let the Blanc family know just what kind of person she really is. Especially Aunty Lihua. But..." 

Wan Jia narrowed her eyes.

Lu Meili took out her phone soon after seeing Ruoxi out. 

She called Neil. The man was no longer as excited as he used to be when he recieved calls from Lu Meili. Thanks to Ruoxi's meddling, he now found Lu Meili too childish and annoying. Not only that, he realized just how much Lu Meili looked down on him due to his status which was not a tenth as great as hers. 

"What is it?" His tone was full of annoyance and ridicule.
