Lin Lihua looked at Henry's back. Her eyes were filled with the image of Katy when she left. 

"Poor thing." She unconciously mumbled. 

Ruoxi clenched her fists. She would not let Lin Lihua feel pity for Katy, that b*tch. That kind of feeling could easily transform into love. 

"Mom, are you still mad at me?" She asked, looking scared and pitiful. 

Lin Lihua who had her feelings mixed up a moment ago smiled. "How could I bear to be mad at you? Go to sleep, alright?" 

Ruoxi looked at her, feigning innocence. As expected, Lin Lihua still loves me the most. 

That little b*tch only called her 'mother' once. How can she compare to me?

Upstairs, Katy sat on the balcony, gazing at the stars. 

"Katy."

She turned with a smile on her face. "Daddy?" 

Henry Blanc stepped foward and hugged her. "I'm sorry. You were hurt because I was selfish. Just because I couldn't bear to part with my wife, you bore the consequences for so many years. This time Ruoxi even opened up your old wounds." 

Katy felt something bad coming out of this. "Daddy, what are you saying?" 

"Katy, I have decided to let go. These remaining two months may not make Lihua change her mind and see through that idiot. It will only make you get hurt more and more. I..." He looked like he was using all his strength to say this. "I will go through with the divorce earlier. After that, I'll take better care of you." 

Katy Blanc widened her eyes. What was he saying? Just when she had deviced a plan to make Lin Lihua change her mind, he was giving up?

Henry Blanc felt broken on her behalf. "I know how you feel. You want me to be happy, right? But I cannot sacrifice your happiness any longer. I have already done that selfishly for more than a decade. Isn't it too much already?"

"Why does sister hate me so much? We obviously used to be friends. If I didn't fight with her over toys when we were kids, would she still hate me this much?" 

Lin Lihua who was a short distance away felt her heart ache. Ruoxi's words had hurt Katy more than she thought...

Henry Blanc laughed slightly. "You little brat. What are you planning to do?" 

"To save your marriage."

Henry Blanc was stunned. To do what? 

"Can you not look at me like that? You're not the only one gaining from this. If this mission is a success, I lose a scheming 'sister' and gain a mother. I still need one even after so many years." 

"Fine. What's your plan?" 

Katy looked at him cheekily. "Can you stand beeing a little childish?" 

Henry Blanc raised an eyebrow. Childish? He was obviously waiting to be a grandpa. Wasn't it too late for that?

Katy sighed. If she wasn't so timid before, she would have done this ages ago. It wouldn't have reached this point. 

"I'll go to bed now. Don't disappoint me daddy." Katy skipped away.

"Mommy, can you please come back?" A voice filled Lin Lihua's head. It was the voice of a little girl. 

The girl was kneeling on the ground, a toy fallen by her side. She was staring at the lake with her face soaked in tears. Some strands of her brown curly hair were stuck onto her little face. 

As though recalling something, she grabbed the plush doll. "It's my favorite toy that I love very much. If I give it to you, will you come back?" 

There was no one before her. Only the vast lake.

"Then... will you come back if I give you all my toys?"

Lin Lihua tossed. "Katy..."
