He held her chin suddenly. "Why don't you convince me?"

Lu Meili was taken aback. "Con… convince you? How do I do that?"

Mu Zhichen was looking right into her eyes. "Earlier you sat on my lap. You're the first woman who has ever done that. Shouldn't you take responsibility for me? That would convince me."

Lu Meili was speechless.

Wasn't the man supposed to take responsibility for the woman? Besides, who was it that suddenly carried her and placed her on his lap?

Lu Meili's eyes widened. "Can you not make it sound like I'm a heartless jerk?"

"That's what you are being right now."

"Fine. How do you want me to take responsibility for you?"

Without any warning, Mu Zhichen pressed his lips against hers in a light peck then quickly retreated.

Lu Meili's eyes shot open as she placed a finger on her lips. "My first kiss…"

Mu Zhichen couldn't be any more pleased. So she hadn't kissed anyone before. But thinking about it, she had never been in an actual relationship before. It shouldn't be strange that she had never kissed. So he was her first!

Lu Meili glared at him. "What are you smiling about, you hooligan! You just took advantage of me. You have to be responsible for me."

Mu Zhichen's smile broadened. He hugged her. "I will."

Small Xixi was still processing Lu Meili's words.

We did not invest in this movie so our money could go to waste."

Lu Meili sighed in relief. There was no one else around. It would have been troublesome if someone overheard them.

But before her heart could truly settle, she heard Lu Aotian conversing with the other investor. "I have bought the copyright of this movie and my investment is currently the biggest. I have the right to make such a small decision, don't I?"

Lu Meili couldn't be any more shocked. He did that? When did he even…!

"You will be required to film the parts without the female lead for now. When Lu Meili's is completely fine, you will continue filming. It doesn't matter even if it takes a year."

Lu Meili looked unhappy. What she was fearing would happen really happened. Was Lu Aotian trying to disclose her identity?

She went over with leisurely steps. "President Lu."

Lu Aotian's eyes narrowed. "What did you just call me?"

Lu Aotian made her sit and crouched to examine her foot. "Can you not look so sad? People would think I'm bullying my little princess."

"I know how much this movie means to you. That's why I won't let anyone take it away from you. I will not let anyone bully you either."
