Chapter 593 - Wedding 2

Their destination was a huge bar called Rose KTV. 

"Yay! Why didn't you girls tell me we were going to a Karaoke bar?" Lu Meili's eyes were full of stars when she saw the name written using neon lights. 

"Where would be the surprise then?" Katy mocked once again. 

"You sure know how to please my sister." Lu Xian Li remarked. Everyone who knew Lu Meili even a tiny bit knew that her love for music was boundless. 

"Will we get to hear the famous superstar's voice tonight?" Small Xixi was especially energetic today. 

Lu Meili held her chin between her thumb and index finger. "Why not? But you have to pay to hear a syllable of music from me." Her tone was smug. Was there such a thing as free lunch? There was no such thing as free music either.

Small Xixi snapped her fingers like it would cost nothing. The following words were written all over her face in bold: Since when was money a problem? And for you, Sis Meili, to desire money so much, are you still a member of the Lu family? She sighed. "I'm paying for that. How much per hour?" .

Lu Meili's red lips curled into an evil smirk. She unceremoniously grabbed Small Xixi's hand and pulled the offguard girl towards her, holding her by the waist. "How about you repay me with your body?"

Katy: "...!!!!" 

Shen Yue: "Eh??!" 

Lu Xian Li: "What?"

Small Xixi, whose waist was now secured in Lu Meili's arms and whose breath had been stolen away, was flabbergasted. Her pulse quicked, her face red like the neon lights right ahead. "Sis... sis Meili, what are you talking about?" 

Lu Meili held the girl's chin, directing her deep gaze into her eyes. "Will you...?" 

The girl's brain went blank. "Sis Meili, I... I..." 

"Pfft." Lu Meili burst into laughter. 

The girls were still in shock and didn't understand why she was laughing. 

"That's for being mean to me." 

Shen Yue slapped her forehead. 

Lu Xian Li pretended she was not part of this roller coaster.

Katy was speechless. 

Small Xixi pouted pitifully. "Sis Meili, how can you do this to me? Just now, my little heart was almost stolen by you. You are so mean." 

Lu Meili giggled. "Xixi, be good." 

"No, don't touch my head. I'm scared I will really fall in love with you." 

Lu Meili retracted her hand that was going to pat Small Xixi's head. "That wouldn't be good." 

Well, it was no exaggeration. Lu Meili looked too beautiful tonight. 

She was wearing a slightly sparkly black dress and a pair of high-heeled boots. 

Her voluminous hair tumbled down to her waist in large waves. It covered her back that was exposed by the backless dress, making it more attractive to look at. 

She had a thin layer of make up with red lipstick. 

She looked different from her usual cute and sweet appearance. Tonight, she was quite sexy. 

Let alone Small Xixi who she had just teased. It wouldn't be surprising if all the women in the city fell in love with her along with the men.

After the mini heart attack, the group of five entered the KTV bar. 

The first thing they heard was a woman heartbrokenly singing her heart into the microphone. 

She must have been heartbroken, because she was singing in rather high notes and had tears streaming from her eyes in pools. 

"Ergh...She's totally off tune. Somebody please make her stop singing!" 

"Xixi!" Lu Meili scolded. "You are too mean." 

"Let's book a private KTV room." Lu Xian Li suggested. 

"I kind of knew we will bump into people with Van Gogh's ear for music so I already booked one." Small Xixi said with a wink. 

Lu Meili glanced at the girl speechlessly. She just had to be mean, right? 

Fine, she wouldn't spoil the fun. 

In the new KTV room, the girls ordered drinks. 

"Eh? We get free entertainment from girls?" Shen Yue looked at the two girls who were preparing to perform. Wasn't there something wrong with this arrangement? Since they were ladies, shouldn't they be entertained by men? 

But perhaps, it was this way because Lu Meili. wanted absolutely nothing to do with other men. She only had her fiancé in her eyes now. 

Sensual lyrics filled the air. 

"Wait. Did they really choose such an erotic song?" 

"Ignore them. No one goes home unless we are all drunk!" 

"Woohoo!" 

"Whoa, slow down. Wait." Shen Yue suddenly had a serious expression. 

"What is it?" 

"Are you guys sure you are not going to get into trouble? Is Xian Li legal yet? President Lu would kill us if we got his little baby drunk." Shen Yue said, snatching back the bottle from which Lu Xian Li was about to pour herself wine. 

"Hey!" Lu Xian Li protested. "I'm twenty, alright?"

Everyone burst into laughter. Lu Xian Li was really the youngest among them. 

They all made jokes at her expense for a while. Of course, they meant no harm.

"She's still so young. I bet she's never held hands with a man before." 

Lu Xian Li sneered. "So what? It's not a bad thing." She gulped down a swig of wine followed by another.

Shen Yue held her cheek in her hand, watching the drinking girl. " If I didn't know better, I would think she is heartbroken." 

Lu Xian Li downed the remnants of her glass. "I'm not speaking to you guys anymore." 

Shen Yue laughed at her pained expression. "It's not a bad thing to be inexperienced in love. After all, not everyone is like Meili who fell in love as a teenager. And the main point is that she didn't end up with her first love so it doesn't matter, does it?" 

"It really doesn't." Lu Meili was the one to answer this. 

Her answer was honest. Unlike the first time she met Mu Zhichen, she no longer felt her heart sting every time someone mentioned Xu Tang. She had long forgotten about him. To be exact, she forgot about her feelings for him. She didn't love him anymore, but she didn't hate him either. Her heart was numb to him. 

"It's such a loss on his part. Luckily our Meili didn't rush back into his arms when he confessed. He is such a jerk." Katy couldn't ever hate him more. 

"You know, his sister is right here." Small Xixi complained although she didn't feel hurt. There was nothing wrong about what they were saying. She just didn't like the idea of talking about people behind their backs. 

"Let's not talk about him anymore. How about you guys talk about your first crushes and love experiences? It might teach me a thing or two in future." Lu Xian Li sipped on her umpteenth glass of wine. 

"You still remember your first love? I only remember my first time." Katy blurted. 

"Ah?" 

"Pfft!" Lu Meili chocked on her wine and coughed in a fit. 

"Is there something wrong with what I said?" Katy innocently asked.

The way she made it sound....

Fine. She was getting drunk. It was understandable. 

"What about you, Xixi?" Lu Xian Li asked. The person she was most curious about was her sister's best friend. Did she know anything else aside from acting wronged and being a spoilt baby? 

Small Xixi had drunk quite a bit too. She was trying to catch up with Lu Xian Li, or even compete. Her eyes looked slightly dazed. "What's there to tell? My first crush was my professor." 

"Pfft!" Lu Xian Li was the one to choke this time. 

Shen Yue coughed.

Lu Meili was speechless. Wasn't there anyone with a normal love story here? 

"What happened with the professor?" Katy was curious despite being a bit drunk. 

"Well, I wrote him a love letter but he disciplined me instead. Such a bore! I expected something more entertaining from him. I could have sworn he had feelings for me." 

Lu Meili was speechless. "Well, I don't think teacher-student relationships are a right thing to do. Both of you would have landed in trouble.  Perhaps if you confess to him after your graduation, the outcome might be different." 

Small Xixi's eyes lit up. "You are right! I never thought about this and only blamed him for punishing me. My graduation will be quite soon. I will confess to him again then."

Lu Xian Li was finding it more interesting. "How about you, Yue?" 

Shen Yue downed another glass. "Nothing to tell. Never fell in love, never will."

A few rounds later, Lu Meili had the urge to sing. 

"I have been waiting for so long already." Small Xixi was even more excited. She shooed away the two beautiful girls who had been hired to entertain them by singing. 

"Will you stop shooing people away?" Lu Meili laughed. "Beauty, come here." She called one of the pretty girls. 

Shen Yue: "..."

Lu Xian Li : "..."

Small Xixi: "..." 

Katy: "She's not starting to bend, right?"
