Chapter 606 - Lin Ye woke up

Yun Xuan wasn't too shocked by this piece. If they accepted him as one of their own after his mother's death, it could only mean that they hated his mother and not him.

For them to start hating him, it wasn't surprising that it had something to do with his late mother.

Also, his mother died immediately after his birth. It wasn't that hard to guess that his father orchestrated it.

"He is too pitiful. And why doesn't he have friends?" She probed.

Lin Lihua looked at her like she was an idiot. "What do you mean he doesn't have friends? He has me. He also has Wanwan and everyone in MAX."

"Oh…" Yun Xuan felt awkward. Lin Lihua made it sound as though all his friends revolved around work. It made his circumstances sound even more pitiful.

Lin Lihua watched Yun Xuan's facial expressions change, a faint smile appearing at the corner of her lips.

There were two ways to sneak into a woman's heart; either being the good and kind gentleman who always play the hero that saves the belle, or making her feel sympathy. Since the first card was all up to him and he was still in coma, she could at least help him play the second card.

Of course, pity would slowly develop into love and before she realizes it, she would have fallen too deep to get up.

She couldn't do much for her god brother; she should at least help him settle down. He was too lonely.

"We should go home now. My daughters will be bored on their own if I don't keep them company. "

"I should put my baby to sleep too."

The two women stood up and left the restaurant.

The next day, Yun Xuan once again prepared a play space for her son and started doing her work online.

Halfway through, she received a phone call from the hospital.

She trembled. Did something happen to Lin Ye?

She didn't know why her heart was beating so fast. With quivering hands, she answered the call. "Doctor Xin?"

"Miss Yun, I called to inform you that Mr. Lin woke up."

"Huh?"

Yun Xuan's brain exploded in shock. "He's awake? You're not joking, right?"

The doctor was patient with her. After all in such circumstances, this news seemed too good to be true. "You should come to see him later. I'm going to run tests on him now."

Yun Xuan hung up the call, happier than ever. 

She emotionally hugged the only person in the room - Yun Feng. She kissed his face so much that if she had lipstick on, his face would be painted by now. 

"I should go to see him now that he woke up. Should I take you with me?" 

After thinking about it, she decided to take him along. 

But first, she kept in mind that he was no longer the unmoving man in coma. 

He had woken up... he would probably be hungry. 

Perhaps the food provided at the hospital would be too tasteless for him. 

However, since he could only eat light food at the moment, she would make some of that. 

She rushed to the supermarket and bought a bunch of ingredients. She kept some of them in the refrigerator; she would use them to cook for him later. 

A few happy songs later, Yun Xuan had managed to fill up a food flask. 

The aroma was quite enticing. Even she had to admit that she had never cooked with much passion. She wondered whether it was because she was in a good mood.

She had bought fresh fruits along with the groceries, so she arranged some of them in a bag along with the food flask. 

Carrying her son in one arm and the bag in another, she left for the hospital.

She was all smiles by the time she arrived. 

"Doctor, are you done running tests; can I go to see him now?" 

"Erm... yeah you can." 

Yun Xuan realized the doctor looked exhausted and perhaps unhappy... but she didn't think too much about it. 

She stood by the door to Lin Ye's room for a while, trying to gather the right words to say to him once she went in. 

Would he be happy that someone came to visit? 

She exhaled a huge puff of air, pushed the door open and walked in nervously. 

A smile escaped her lips. "Lin Ye." 

The man had his back facing her as he looked out of the window. He didn't react to her calling his name. 

Yun Xuan thought he must be engrossed in the scenery outside the window. The blooming flowers looked vibrant with the sun rays shining upon them. A few butterflies could be seen playing around once in a while, with a child or two chasing after them. It was quite pleasing to the eye. 

"Lin Ye." She called again. 

The man didn't respond this time either, making her start to get spooked. 

Why was he silent? 

Wait, why hadn't he moved an inch since she came in? 

His silence was starting to get eerie. 

Yun Xuan put the bag on the table at the side, put Yun Feng on the seat beside the table and made sure he wouldn't topple over. Then she slowly lead her way to the bed. 

"Lin Ye, can you hear me?" 

Only when she paid attention to his head did she notice the white piece of clothing that looked out of place. 

The knot was at the back of his head and when she followed its trail, it was covering his eyes. 

She nervously covered the remaining distance between her and the bed. She leaned over to touch the knot, vaguely seeing the tiny hairs behind his ear rise. 

"Why do you have a piece of cloth covering your eyes?" 

The man suddenly grabbed her hand violently without turning to face her "What are you doing?" 

Yun Xuan's heart almost stopped beating from his sudden move. She pulled her hand out of his grip like it had been scalded. "I... I was just curious. I'm sorry. 

Look, I'm here to visit you. I brought food." 

"Get out." 

"What? Why are you suddenly...?" 

"Yun Xuan, get the f*ck out!"
